Put deposit on a 2017 Shelby on a Monday. Financed vehicle, had check in hand, and was to make 6 hour drive to dealership on Saturday to finalize paperwork. We had a massive snowstorm in my area, so I contacted dealership to advise that I would not be able to make it until Monday (dealership closed on Sunday). Was told that they would not hold vehicle, regardless of deposit – would put vehicle back up for sale. I offered to overnight the check, to no avail. Reluctantly, I made the trip to the dealership only to discover that the driver’s side door of the vehicle had a fitment issue (not disclosed by dealer prior to purchase). General Manager made aware, would not personally discuss the issue, deferred to the salesman who was unwilling to resolve matter. I have been buying a new vehicle every 2 or 3 years for the past 30+ years and have dealt with many dealerships across many states - this is the first time I have ever had such a negative experience.
