Shea's Bakery

For as long as I can remember my friends and family have indulged me by purchasing a cheesecake rather than the typical birthday cake. Last week we celebrated my 34th birthday and I received 4 different cheesecakes. And I have to tell you and everyone I know that the Cheesecake I received from Shea's Bakery was "Absolutely Amazing". There was nothing typical about that Cheesecake. I can't wait to take a couple to my families Thanksgiving dinner. Thank You and Congratulations!!!!! more

I like to support local businesses so when I needed a birthday cake, I called Shea's. I ordered red velvet with cream cheese icing, spring bouquet of flowers and butterflies (my sister's favorite)! ALL of my guests raved about this fantastic cake .... the outside beauty and the inside flavor. Definitely one of the best cakes ever!! Even our "dieting" guests decided to try a "bite" and ate their entire serving. The price of the cake was also very reasonable. They truly made this cake "to order" and I cannot wait to order again. I won't wait for another occasion to order; I must start tasting all her luscious flavors! You will not be disappointed! more

After reeading all the reviews and having been quite disappointed in the overly sugary, dry cupcakes from several other "cupcakes stores in town we ordered a dozen from Shea's for my birthday. The cupcakes were better than the others, but still the frosting was overly sweet and the cake dry. Right now, the best cupcake (and best priced) in Delray come from Mario's Italian Market. It may be the best overall bakery in the area. I'm not saying Shea's were bad, they were pretty good...they just didn't live up to the praise we read here.\r I also don't want to take anything away from this young woman who has built a very nice business. It's run very professionally and if she keeps at it I can see it becoming a very big success. more

My first experience with Shea's Bakery was when I was trying to find a Baker that could do a cake with almost 0 notice. We had just had a visit with our doctor, and found out the gender of our baby. We wanted Shea to bake a cake with either Pink or Blue to depict the sex of the baby and cover it up with White icing so we could surprise our friends and family. \r \r Shea got this done for us soooo fast, and it was THE MOST DELICIOUS cake I've ever had. \r \r I'm quite serious when I say that it would take them sending me away for me to buy a cake from anyone else ever again. When I think of Shea's Bakery, my mouth starts to water. My first experience with these delicious treats was a cheesecake at a holiday party. More recently I have savored the tasty cupcakes. great bakery with an even greater staff!!!\r i searched and searched from snowy ny, for a bakery that would deliver cupcakes to my grandfather in fla for his 97th birthday! and as soon as i found shea's bakery the search was over! they took great care helping me with my order and made sure everything was just right! and to my surprise, upon delivering my grandfather the cupcakes, they were kind enough to stay and sing! happy birthday to him!!! he was overjoyed and didn't want to let them go! i commend shea's bakery on a super job well done!!! more

We found Shea's Bakery when Staying at Crane's Beach Hotel for Christmas. We have tried everybody else's cupcakes in Delray and these are by far the best. The chef is a teenager who runs it with her mom. The only problem here is that you need to order ahead because everything is made to fill orders. It's really worth it. just plan ahead. and try the chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing. more

This is a bakery started by a 14 year old girl, which is already impressive but the cookies, and desserts are equally impressive! I have tried (so far) cookies SO GOOD brownies OMG! cupcakes & a cheesecake BETTER THAN ANY OTHER I'VE HAD and a couple seasonal breads ALL GOOD. I also like that she keeps the menu seasonal and the cupcakes are better than anywhere in town and cheaper! more

Amazing. Decided to support a local business when I needed cupcakes for an event and discovered Shea's. I was truly impressed. So many incredible treats to choose from...The Red Velvet Cupcakes were a HIT. I WILL be going back! (I gotta try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake!!!) more

The young Lady Shea bakes up marvelous cheesecakes, cup cakes, Patty Cakes, and seasonal breads. They cost a little more because they are made with the best ingredients and a lotta love!! more
