Mandy Simmons of Shear Madness has been my hairdresser for over ten years. And I get many compliments on my hair since I've met her. Prior to Mandy, I've had good men and women cut and color my hair, but each of them really only had one look for me. And when I'd come in asking for a change, something new, no matter how specific I was (or wasn't), by the second or third cut later I'd realize we were back to the original look. Not Mandy - she can do ANYTHING - and change is something she welcomes from her clients. Unless, that is, one comes in with an idea that isn't quite right. Then she'll gently, but firmly, express her opinion. You can be assured that you'll walk out looking great for both cut and color, if you've just left Mandy's chair. Just walking in the door I knew I was in for something great. For someone like me who never took the time to pamper myself, let me tell you those times have changed! I recently had a manicure by Angelle, and never knew my nails could look so great! I received a French polish which for me is normally chipped by the next day but not with hers. It lasted a solid two weeks and everyone thought I had artificial nails put on. When my nails are done I feel much more presentable and confident! I had my nails and hair done. Jane introduced me to gel nails, they are beautiful! She is able to make them look so natural, my friends don't even realize they are 'fake'! Cari did my haircut. She took the time to ask what I was looking for, and listened to all my concerns. I loved the extra attention she gave me, and my cut was perfect! I had a spa wish gift certificate and this salon was closest to me so I tried it. I asked for auburn hair with light blond highlights. I asked for chunky highlights, I told her I like dramatic coloring. I asked for no texturizing and no golden color hightlights. Basically everything I asked her not to do, she did. She was the nicest girl on the planet but she just kept saying ""you need this"". I should have gotten up and walked out but once they start snipping and foiling what do you do? So, now I have 4 inche chunks of hair cut out of my layers that were perfect and I have golden straw on top of my head. Thin wisps of golden colored straw. I can't style my hair any other way than how she did it which is not how I like to do it. The roots are much darker than the ends and I just had it done last Saturday. It was 150.00 and it looks like I tried to do it myself and botched it. Pros: Very nice staff Cons: If something goes wrong they are not going to take care of it. Belive me, I tried. more

I went here from a suggestion from a friend. I had Michele color my hair and she did an awesome job with highlighting my hair. I can't tell you how many people have complimented me.
