Let me start by saying that I'm only giving this 2 stars (instead of 1), because the nail tech was at least friendly and having a Groupon, I only paid $30 total (plus a more than generous tip that I regret paying), instead of the $55 it would normally cost. That's where the compliments end. I'm not sure if it was because I had a Groupon that I didn't get a good mani/pedi or if the nail tech who did them (Lina) was rush, or she's just not that good at nails (since she's also their only esthetician). Maybe it was all of the above. Unfortunately for me, I did not notice most of the issues/mistakes until after I had left. For starters, there were a lot polish mistakes on my toes, where I guess she just didn't take her time. My hands were far worse. I had ONE single nail out of the 10 that had broken and was a little shorter. Before I figured out what she was doing, she had filed ALL my nails on that hand to the length of the short one, but left the ones on my other hand, long. She also did them round, even though I told her I wanted them in between round and square. I didn't think much of the long nails vs. short until having lunch with my girlfriends right after. They said it was strange and that it looked like two hands from two different people. I'm half-tempted to just cut the long ones to match the short. One thing I did notice while I was there, but didn't say anything (b/c I kept thinking it wasn't worth it since I'd never return), is that she used the file in a ""sawing"" back-and-forth motion to file my nails, instead of going one direction. Anyone who knows anything about doing nails knows that ""sawing"" them w/the file damages them and also causes the edges to be less smooth, which I noticed when my friends and I were looking closer at them. The final straw came this morning, two days after having them done. Almost every nail on my hands looks like crap, b/c the nail polish is peeling and chipped already! My toes look to be ok for now, aside from the jaggedness of the big toe toenail. I'm not sure sure what the other stylists there are like, but will NEVER return to find out. I should have backed out as soon as I knew this salon was in a senior citizens home. They're too old to know when they're getting duped into crappy service.
