Shady Maple Smorgasbord

This has to be the largest buffet type restaurant I've every seen! The food is awesome. It was $10.38 for lunch (includes all food, drink and tip). If it's your B-Day it's free. Worth every cent! more

HUGE restaurant, adequate space for busloads of tourists and locals alike, tasty food, great service, clean restrooms. The gift shop down stairs is enormous and goes heavy on the candles for my taste, but has a seemingly endless inventory. FUN! more

Shady Maple is a huge Smorgasbord located on Route 23 in Blue Ball, PA, near Lancaster County. They have a vast dining area with accodations for bus tours. The place is extremely popular with senior citizens. Prices are comparable to other smorgasbords but the food is somewhat better. Ofcourse there is the normal smorgasbord fair(salad, fried chicken, pasta, soups) but they have specials daily too. Beverage stands are not only located at the buffet area but near the dining areas too making it easy to refill. The desserts are plentiful too. After eating, make sure you enjoy the beautiful and reasonably priced gift shop on the lower level of the restaurant. My favorite is to always pick up some the apple bread that is available at the smorgasbord to take home with us! more

The Shady Maple is the most famous smorgasbord restaurant in the Lancaster County area. If people don't know any other place in Lancaster, they have heard of the Shady Maple. This restaurant has an impressive array of food on display, and unlike many other buffets in the area, the quality of the food is excellent. The Shady Maple also has a large complex around it which includes a gift shop and a farmer's market which make it an interesting destination for an afternoon. Note: closed Sundays. more

This is the best feast you will ever get. One and only one downside is the cost. It is a bit pricery to get your meal, even for breakfast. But the food is so delicious. And you get a ton of different varieties of things to choose from. They serve all homemade food and mmm, mmm, delicious! But make sure to bring an empty belly :) more
