Shady Maple is a huge Smorgasbord located on Route 23 in Blue Ball, PA, near Lancaster County. They have a vast dining area with accodations for bus tours. The place is extremely popular with senior citizens. Prices are comparable to other smorgasbords but the food is somewhat better. Ofcourse there is the normal smorgasbord fair(salad, fried chicken, pasta, soups) but they have specials daily too. Beverage stands are not only located at the buffet area but near the dining areas too making it easy to refill. The desserts are plentiful too. After eating, make sure you enjoy the beautiful and reasonably priced gift shop on the lower level of the restaurant. My favorite is to always pick up some the apple bread that is available at the smorgasbord to take home with us!
