We have used this company before; they continue a high level of equipment and service quality. This install came in at a good price and scheduling the work was easy. The technician was very competent and able to explain all aspects of the installation. He left the job site as clean as it was when he arrived. Since the weather has changed, and we don't need air conditioning, we are relying on his test of the completed system as to its performance - time will tell. more

Joe was both capable and pleasant. He answered my questions and made helpful suggestions to improve the quality of the air in my home. I was very pleased with his professional manner. more

No one ever hopes to replace a HVAC system, but if you need to, you'd be well advised to hire Service Specialties Inc to do the work. Our AC system has been on its last legs the past few weeks and this latest heat wave was the final straw.Between our last service call (Joe Rowan is an incredible technician), we set up an appointment with "Bacon". He arrived on time, assessed our system and gave us an estimate.The estimate was fair and addressed our needs. Two days after he did the estimate, the entire AC unit gave up the ghost. I called their emergency line late Monday night, and their after hours technician, Joe Williams , gave me some troubleshooting tips to try, and instructed me to call Brooke the next morning, if none of the things he suggested worked. Brooke (exceptionally polite and professional), scheduled a technician to come out that same day and gave me a time frame when he'd arrive. She called me (as promised) to let me know he was on his way. Joe Rowan showed up, checked out the system and confirmed what I feared; the AC was done. I called "Bacon", did all the paperwork via email and phone and he arranged to have the system installed the same week. He scheduled the install and told me when to expect the technicians. Now anyone who lives in the DMV has probably experienced the appointment time vs real time paradox. Imagine my surprise when Brandon and Isaac showed up when they were scheduled to arrive. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. They managed to get the new system installed in less time than I expected. They explained the system and best of all, the only way I knew they had been there was the new equipment. They cleaned up after themselves and they were on their way. Bottom line, if you need HVAC service, this is the company you want to do business with.They are all extremely professional. I remember all their names (something I rarely do with most companies I deal with), because each made a profound impression in the course doing their jobs. more

Joe and Reid were very professional while installing my new HVAC system. They arrived promptly at the time I was quoted. Even when my neighbors interrupted them while they were walking back to their truck they remained courteous. They kept me informed of what they were doing each step of the way while installing the new unit. I would highly recommend SSI for any HVAC needs. more

A big thanks to Jose and James at SSI for such a professional job installing a new air conditioner/ heat pump. The old one was 13 years old and it gave out and they did a fantastic job under very hot conditions putting in the new one up in the attic/outside. They were very respectful of the house, especially considering what they had to do to get the old unit out and the new unit in. I'm sitting here watching the temp drop now. I have been using Service Specialties Inc for over 3 years now. They are one of the best Heating and AC companies I have ever used. I have lived in the Northern Virginia area all my life and this is the best Heating and AC companies I have ever had. Clint Boyd the technician that has come to my house multiple times for my service contract and for warranty work at my fathers house is outstanding. He has to be one of the most knowledgeable technicians I have ever met. He is always on time if not early and is efficient and explains everything in detail so you can understand it. His quality of work is outstanding. Any company would be lucky to have him as an employee. more

Rob N., Plumber, with Service Specialities replaced an outside faucet with a new one on May 13, 2016 at my home The old faucet handle had rusted out, making the faucet unusable. Rob needed to cut the water line to the faucet, in an almost unaccessible corner under a kitchen cabinet, and then replace the "stem" with a new one, and then add on a new faucet. Did it neatly in no time. Nice gentleman and good service. Thank you. more

Rob arrived right on time, completed his job (snaking out our laundry room drain pipe) quickly and charged us exactly the estimated price. Our clog is gone, and he even gave us tips on how to avoid getting clogs in the future. As I jokingly told him when he left, I hope we don't have to call a plumber again for awhile -- but if we do, we'll call SSI. more

My service representative, my plumber for this job, was Robert. I have to tell you he was very professional and customer oriented. He explained what he was doing and what was to take place. He and I also discussed the type of faucet, regular or frost free. While my service was for a special price for a regular faucet I elected to go with the frost free. He did not pressure me into purchase this item. In fact, after he and discussed its use he was starting on the regular faucet. However, because of his demeanor I elected the frost free and was willing to spend the extra money. I am most impressed with Robert's professionalism and the quality of the work he performed. I will gladly contact SSI for his services again. more

Plumber Rob Ness repaired the leak in my toilet very quickly and efficiently, kindly explaining what had caused the leak in an easy to understand and informative way. I would have given five stars, but the home office new billing system is still working out the bugs. more
