In this high tech, pulsating world in which we live, it is so good to see humanity and warmth -- and that is what you get with Senior Helpers. And complete professionalism and reliability around the clock, every day, even on holidays. They tailor their services to each person's specific needs. I cannot stop raving about Senior Helpers, a true Godsend to me, my mother, and my entire family. In a society where unfortunately indifference, bad customer care, and automated responses have come to be the norm, Senior Helpers stands as a beacon in the night or day. I always got to talk with a 'real' person and I was daily informed by a 'real' person as to how things were going with my mother. This was an ideal transition for her before she joined an assisted living community, one that Senior Helpers even helped us to find. Go Senior Helpers! more

Thanks 3/17/2011

We were in a panic as to how to care for him at home when we were advised that he would be released from Maywood Care Center into the care of my 83 year old mother. He suffered from congestive heart failure and his condition had deteriorated to the point that he was bedridden and too weak to assist in his care in any way. Not only would my mother be caring for him, but she was also caring for my 89 year old aunt, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. more

With less than 24 hours notice you put our fears to rest. On the day he arrived home, you were there with Rosario and immediately set about making him comfortable and putting my mother at ease. You were always available to us and quick to act on any concerns we had in a calm and competent manner.Rosario and Dawn both had the uncanny ability to anticipate his needs and their extraordinarily capable care allowed my mother to get the rest she so desperately needed.The work they do is not easy but they made it seem more like a calling than just a job. They were even thoughtful enough to call on their days off, just to ask how everything was. more

Jessica, my health aide, provided care & concern for my every need. She was prompt in arriving each day and always greeted me with a warm ""good morning."" She performed her duties with pride & care. She is a wonderful & dedicated person. Thank God you have her.Marie, your Director of Operations, is also an asset to your group. She has a way about her that I felt relaxed at our first meeting, frequent visits & a small ""food sharing"" welcome as a family member. more

I want to let you know how pleased they are and I am with the quality of the people that you have provided to assist them. All of the people you sent were well qualified, and also very friendly and sensitive to the needs of my parents. In particular, Jessica and Anna were exceptional. They were not only very good Caretakers; they genuinely cared about my parents and treated them like family. My parents grew very fond of both of them and referred to them as “saints” more

My husband required 24 hour in-home care ssistance. Due to unforseen circumstances our need was urgent! Senior Helpers, within two or three days, was able to provide just the right individual to assist my husband and bring order to a household that was in panic. The courtesy, respect, compassion, and understanding of the situation and your graciousness in follow-up conversations will always be remembered. more

I'll never forget when we met at my parent's house. I was in such a frantic state and you came to my rescue. As you know, previous agencies had not been dependable. Your home care agency was wonderful! My dad received excellent care and mother received the support and assistance she needed. more

You and your staff were wonderful to work with. My mother, who relishes her independence and can sometimes be negative about new situations, loved every one of the caregivers. They were reliable, nurturing, intelligent, and trustworthy. My brother and I were not only impressed with the daily reliability of the service you provided, but in a couple of emergency situations (hospital stays) you and your staff were a welcoming source of comfort. You made coping with stressful situations nearly pleasant. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without your help! more

Sonia has shown great kindness and compassion in the care of my Mom and I feel confident every day that she will be safe in her care. This allows me to go to my job every day safe in the knowledge that my Mom is well cared for. We hired Ms. Rosario Schneider, and it has been a wonderful experience. She is a caring, well-trained home health aide. Rose has a great sense of humor and an upbeat personality, which is so important for my Dad, who loves to have a good laugh. I never had to worry when Rose was with my Dad. She took excellent care of him. I am sorry to say that my Dad can no longer stay at home, but will be entering the Veterans’ Memorial Home in Paramus by the end of March.I just want to end this letter saying, I would highly recommend Senior Helpers without hesitation to any family in need of these type of services. Your company is most fortunate to have Ms. Diaz representing you – I know I feel fortunate to have met a person of her caliber and high standards. more

Then my friend gave me a senior guide that she had picked up, and inside I saw your ad for Senior Helpers. I made the phone call that really counted.My first impression of Senior Helpers could not have been better. Ms. Marie Diaz [Director of Operations] responded immediately to my call and was already gathering information to make the right fit between the home health aide and my Dad. Then she personally came to my home to discuss all my concerns and needs for Dad’s care; and already had some home health aides in mind that she thought might work out based on our needs. Marie was always available by phone and always attentive to our needs. more

Great Service! 2/16/2011

Sometimes, my mom has doctor appointments in NYC and Marie Diaz is always there for us. This winter was a rough one with rain, wind, snow, hail, etc., my parents were cared for everyday. Ana and Marie sure that they had food in the house and all was safe and sound. more
