Excellent experience! I wish I had the name of the individual that assisted me (very tall with long dark hair; on Sunday she was wearing a red scarf). I have never had anyone explain the product as she did! I have been using the blue malva and now clove conditioner for months and no-one ever told me that I shouldn't use it everyday and WHY. I have told person after person that I have color treated hair, and this individual suggested color control. I had always wondered why no-one ever recommended that in the past. Today was my first day using my new conditioner (my hair is naturally curly) and it curled better than it has in a very long time! Thanks... I wish I knew your name so I could thank you by name.... you will defiantly have my business again! more

The facility and service was nice, but the hair cut was terrible. I left hating my hair and remorseful I had paid $40. My hair is long and straight with side swooped bangs, which should be a pretty easy cut. But she cut in straight across without any shape and did the same to my bangs. I tried to give her direction, but in the end it was too late, and I didn't trust her to do any more cutting. She didn't seem to have much experience or finess. Sadly, I will not be going back. more

I stopped in to use my Birthday Certificate from the rewards club and I was greeted immediately and very friendly. I had a question about a product and the lady helping me answered my question and expanded on the product. She also mixed the purefume for me and offered any other help I might need. It was fast-which is important to me and a very positive experience. The Jordan Creek Serenity Salon is my favorite in Des Moines! more

#1. You have to book days or a week in advance for a good stylist. #2. They rush you through like you are livestock. #3. Cramped styling area, lots of distractions. #4 They will talk about you when you leave. #5. It's clear the privilege of being there is all theirs. #6. Over rated stylists. #7. Proud to raise their prices. #8 Give a gratuity - forget being thanked. #9. Many days you can clearly see that it's NOT a great day at Aveda #10 After your hair is styled you will be ushered out like a dog that just took a dump in the living room. more
