I use to live in Los Angeles and whenever I wanted to eat sushi, I ate at Sen Nari. The people are friendly, greets everyone walking through the door. It is clean, great service...

Not impressed 3/26/2009

When i got there, it seemed like they service was mad we showed up...After goin to Club Sushi, i was not receptive to this place Pros: easy location Cons: service more

Okay sushi, but overpriced. 8/24/2007

Being a semi-avid sushi fan, this Sen Nari was a disappointment. The food was pretty good, fish was fresh, and the service was very friendly, but the prices were a little too high for my taste, especially for lunch.\r \r $15 for 4 pieces of a spider roll and the sushi is $4 a piece for most of the items. You can get sushi just as good or better for far less at other places. Pros: good food Cons: $$$ more

Enjoyable Monday Night 3/12/2007

My boyfriend surprised me by suggesting we go out tonight. We went to Sen Nari Sushi. It was great! The yellow tail melted in your mouth and the fish was very fresh. The atmosphere was great with a whole bunch of little rooms where you sit on the floor. The price was reasonable for sushi, sushi = $4, roll = $8. Very friendly service, they kept returning to refill our tea. Overall ... great! Pros: Fresh Fish, good service more

Bad Quality food. Bad customer service. 9/12/2006

The fish did not taste fresh. The salmon sashimi looked pale and smelled/tasted fishy. Sushi should not smell or taste fishy. I may be coming down with something from eating the food at this place. \r \r Also, the avocado they use in their sushi was almost black, and this wasn't due to oxidation. It looked like a cheap variety of avocado that had begun to go bad.\r \r We won't be going back there again. Cons: Bad food and bad service more

Horrible. Stay Away. 9/12/2006

I recently went for lunch with my business associates. There was a hair in my colleagues miso soup. Also, the sashimi we ordered was old and coated with a preservative that we later found out was rice vinegar. The chef also told us that the fish was frozen, giving us the impression that they regularly store fish for long periods of time. NOT FRESH. \r \r NOT RECOMMENDED. Cons: Fish not fresh. Bad cuts of fish for sushi. Hair in food. more

Wow! This place is great! It's expensive, but the quality is wonderful! Great unagi, yellowtail, and scorpion fish! I'll be coming back here, for sure. more

SUSHI GARDENA STYLE 4/27/2006

This place is next to a bank and in a shopping plaza on western. The place is bright but small. the private rooms areas are really fun. the food when we went was good but not up to par with the last time i went. This may have been a fluke because normally the food quality is really good. great small place , price are normal. i would suggest the sushi bar instead of the tables. you get better, thicker cuts. Pros: good food, service, portions Cons: kinda small, parking is tough more

Supremely good sushi at reasonable prices. 3/24/2006

I tried Sen Nari after a friend recommended it and my dining experience exceeded my expectations. Eating at the sushi bar was great as the chefs were very attentive and friendly. All sushi was very fresh and amazingly good. I was especially impressed by the Sake, Maguro, and Unagi!! The soft shelled crab appetizer was awesome! The decor in Sen Nari is okay, and the location isn't great, but the focus is purely on the quality of the sushi, which is exceptional! Highly recommend!! Pros: Sushi Quality, Service Cons: Decor, Location more

Top 5 Sushi house in Gardena 3/17/2006

I finally tried this place after hearing about it for so long. The main chef, Sonny, is highly amiable and will make your first experience memorable. The sushi is top quality here, I recommend a bar visit upon first trying this place. Prices are good for a Sushi house and the service is decent. Pros: Great Selection, Fresh/High Quality, Authentic Cons: Small Restaurant, Too Bright, Very Japanese more

absolutely THE BEST!! 2/26/2006

I have been going to this sushi restaurant for at least 10 years. The same head chef is there (I think the owner?) and he is fantastic! The fish is always always ALWAYS fresh and delicious. The ambience is authentic.. none of this trendy ""LA"" style sushi bar crap. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic sushi. Pros: very fresh, excellent chefs, authentic Cons: sometimes long wait more

THE BEST! 3/10/2005

In a town where sushi is all the rage, you never know what you're going to get. But, Sen nari is great. It's been around forever, small, yet the real deal. The toro is amazing. As well, they have unbeatable salmon (sake) sashimi and spicy tuna rolls. If you're out looking for great sushi, in an unassuming strip mall, come here! more
