This company is a pain to deal with. Communications are best done over a matter of days or weeks via email. Receiving a correct bill to a correct address, in the correct name, is next to impossible. If you have any other choice, do that. more

Republic/Seaside Sanitation service is horrible if you have a choice go somewhere else, they miss pick ups, when you call and complain they tell you they will be there and never show no matter how many days or times you call. They are very condisending, they Know you have no other choice but to deal with their incompetent quality of service. I have used Seaside since about 1993. They used to be known as ""Hatchers"". Even then, the service was not up to par. My biggest complaint is how early they pick up our trash. Come on, at 4:00 a.m.? They are extremely loud and I can hear the workers talking with all the windows closed! They also torture my garbage cans. My lids and wheels have been lost/beaten off. The bottoms of my cans are breaking from being mistreated. Garbage cans are not a cheap investment even at Walmart's prices. Many times, my cans are not completely emptied and still have some bags inside. I do my best to make sure our garbage is neat and easy to collect. My last complaint is that their pickup schedule is not posted online. I only have a recycling schedule. On a positive note, they sometimes pick up messes that critters leave around the cans. I made a payment late once. I was charged an additional $25.00 for a ""re-connection fee"". I called customer service and was treated like dirt. However, I did manage to get the fee dropped because I've been a long-term customer. I was warned to never be late again because they would NOT drop the fee again.\r \r Tips: please, be quieter when picking up! Be gentler with our cans and try not hit our vehicles with the them. Hire nicer people for customer service! Make your holiday schedule known so that we don't put our cans out and have animals strew the trash all over the place. more

Pack your service up and take it elsewhere. It is not worth having or paying for. Fed up with the missed pick ups that inability to even get a complaint through and your company thinking we as customers have to continue to pay for a service you have failed to provide since the start of your contract with Spring Hill! \r Oh and by the way if you drive in Spring Hill watch out as this morning was was another example to me as I observed yet another Seaside Sanitation truck driving in the dark prior to 6am with no headlights on!!! Oh and when you are able to get someone on the phone they tell you that you have no choice but to pay them as they have a contract with the county. more

Seaside has been very good in my neighborhood. They even have picked up trash that animals have dragged from bags the night before. Give them a chance to make good in your neighborhood. more

I moved here from Jacksonville and have to say that Seaside Sanitation/Republic is the worse sanitation company I have ever had. The drivers are lazy and rude. I put small twigs in a bag because they were too small to bundle and they did not take it, he said that I had to buy a trash can and could not use bags. When I told him that I was going to call his supervisor, he said ""well, you don't really have to buy a trash can, it just takes me longer to have to tear open the bags to dump the twigs, it use to only take me 3 hrs to do my route and now it takes 5 hrs"". Can you believe this crap? These are the laziest garbage men I have ever dealt with. If enough people complain maybe we can get rid of them, I don't know, maybe start filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau? Then I put small twigs of rose bush clippings with thorns in a small plastic tub that was marked ""DO NOT TAKE"" so the a$$holes wouldn't get pricked and they took the tub too. We are all paying this company to treat us like crap. It looks like their home base is in Louisville Ky. I wonder if they know how the customer service is being provided here. more

What your paid service gets you 5/8/2012

well this company lets you pay for services but does not give them..I have my trash pyling up for 2 weeks now..call many of time and put on hold for over 1 hr. customer service? What Is that?I have been told on 3 differnt times that my trash would be picked up and still its sits on the streets ,,birds rats and other rodents are having a good time... But neibors arent.. I have been turned into my local township office for it,,I am waiting for them to fine me for it... We the people of spring hill area want our regauler providers to come back...Do you her us Brooksville commety .... more

Why cant we leave 0 stars!!!!Republic services is the worst I cant believe I'm stuck with this company. I am being charged for a house that I have not lived in for almost 4 years and my current address So try and call them.....guess what,you cant NO phone number with a live person exist for this company.So now your left with the daunting task of filling out a request for a call back within 48 hours.So I did that and got no call back, I figured they got my message and fixed the problem and only payed the bill I owed. Well today they didn't pick my trash up... So my only option is to request another call within 48 hrs. the only problem is ill have missed another trash day even if they do respond......SHAME ON YOU REPUBLIC more

Terrible service 3/6/2012

Too bad they don't have a 1/2 star. This is the worst service EVER! They took over the Hernando county area, Ridge Manor after the first of the year and it has been awful. I have called 3 times to get my trash picked up. I called today at 1:30pm and they told me they have all day to pick up the trash. Really?!! All day!! Why do I need it out by 6am then?? We are the furthest location they service and they can't get it together to save their lives. Terrible, awful, disappointing service. Central Carting was much better, never had a problem with them. more

Worst service EVER! I can take my trash to the landfill FREE 2/9/2012

After not receiving a bill when they took over service in Hernando county I asked for a bill, which I got in my name, at the service address. Then it took 6 phone calls to get the trash picked up. It's not my problem that they don't have enough drivers, Its not my problem that they didn't anticipate the work load. It's not my problem that they did not get the boundries figured out prior to submitting a bid to take over. more

terrible trash company 1/5/2012

How did spring hill get stuck with this company been a week now still no trash pickup called this morning was assured it would be picked up yet again it was not. People we need to complain to the city to get rid of this company. We want waste mangement back they were always dependable. Service so bad you can't even get throught to them during the day for the complaints. Think we deserve our money back for when it didn't pick up[Maybe we should all band together an cancel our pickup maybe then spring hill will see they made a mistake more

Poor Customer Service/Lousy Drivers 9/26/2011

I recently moved into an area which is zoned for Seaside Sanitation. Let me tell you, their drivers are the worst I have yet to see. What makes it even worse, is when I called to complain about the garbage cans being knocked over halfway down our street, I was put on hold, then transferred to a manager of some sort only to be told, ""It would be looked into"" A short time later, again, garbage cans knocked over all down the street, and this time, some of the bags that we had put out alongside the can were left there. Again, called to complain and once again was told it would be handled. The next time i waited for the garbage truck to come. Once it did, I was able to confront the driver about the rudeness of their service. He then stated that they weren't the assigned drivers to that area. UNREAL!!! Im at a loss with this company. I don't know what else to do, or who else to complain to.. more

Misrepresented 7/19/2011

I was a new customer with Seaside and was temporarily renting a place until our permenant residence was ready. The phone rep made me pay for 3 months in advance and said I would get a rebate of months not used. When I went to cancel my account one month later I was told I should have read my contract and they don't rebate unless you have been a customer for 90 days. That was never told to me, infact I had expressed those concerns because I knew it was to be a very short stay and was assured I would get the rebate. more

Can't believe all this trash talk about such a great company 5/14/2011

I have had 21 years of consistently good service with Seaside. Customer service is always helpful and never rude whenever I have had to speak with them. On the rare occasion when I've had extra trash, all I had to do was call and let them know I went over the usual amount and that was all it took to get it entered into the system for pick up on the next trash day. They are quite accommodating. I can honestly say the people who are having difficulty with their trash pick up and trash cans being tossed everywhere are probably calling and yelling at customer service. This will get you nowhere. Nobody deserves to be yelled at, especially when they are NOT the responsible party. Also, it helps to consistently pay your bill if you want consistent trash pick up. As for the trash on the ground; we have the same problem here. There are cats and raccoons who get into the trash during the night if you don't secure the lids or if you have no lid at all on the trash can. It is not the responsibility of Seaside employees to clean up the mess in front of YOUR home that was made by feral cats or raccoons. That is your responsibility!! Get off your high horses and lazy arses and clean up your own mess and whining, for crying out loud. more

Driver needs to slow his roll in Aripeka 5/9/2011

Just to make you all aware.....when your truck comes thru Aripeka on Tuesday and Friday......apparently your driver thinks he's at Daytona! Aripeka is a very small town with windy dirt roads........kids walk up and down these streets all the time. I live on the most hidden corner of Aripeka and am finding it VERY DISTURBING that your driver has ABSOLUTELY NO REGARD for the residents in this town. SLOW YOUR ROLL BEFORE YOU KILL ONE OF OUR KIDS.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
