Scribbens Waste Disposal

I had intentions of giving Scrivens a bad name on here....but apparently, he's already given himself a bad name! Google Scrivens waste disposal reviews and you will see! He continually bills us for services we never received, and it took him 6 months to come pick up his trash can! He never calls back, never emails back. He is just plain RUDE and I'm honestly surprised he's still in business. It's been over a year since I had service with him, and he STILL sends bills. My advice, stay away from this company! And if you're in the position I'm in, make a complaint with BBB, and go to the daily news journal and see if they will run a piece on this POS practice. Ridiculous. more

I put my can out the night prior to pick up and pay my invoice by the due date. Have never had a reason for him to call and be rude. I wonder what he was call these people in the 1st place? Calling to be rude you think or collecting money? more

This company is horrible and the man on the phone is rude. Has no business dealing with the public or being in business. Spread the word - do not use this company more

If I could give this idiot less than one star, I definitely would. Trash service is poor, at best. As another reviewer has stated, this ""company"" picks up trash with a pickup truck, so if you don't have your trash bagged for them, you can expect a very nasty voicemail or note. Basically this means you cannot throw loose trash in your trash can, such as bottles or paper or whatever you may find lying around, such as in your car. Whatever. I actually had Glen Scrivens call me yesterday morning, on JUNE 3rd, telling me if I didn't have payment to him by JUNE 1st, that he would have his lawyers put A LIEN ON MY PROPERTY. I am not even even joking. That is how stupid this man is. To add insult to injury, at the end of his lengthy rant on my voicemail, after demanding payment for several minutes, he actually told me not to even bother calling him and wasting his time or his employees' time to make any arrangements regarding payment. So my calls to take care of his issues are not even being answered so that I can pay him what he wants! I am contacting the police that live on my street and will have this issue taken care of asap. In the meantime, my recommendation to ANYONE is, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THREATENED, HAVE EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE, OR HAVE TRASH LYING ALL OVER YOUR YARD OR THE STREET! more

the owner of this company Glen is a thug.......they charged my credit card for 71.50 without my authorization and then when i called this thug on monday morning he was rude cussed me and hung up on me I will not do business with thugs and thats what these folks are...they refuse to credit me even after i cancelled service and had 2 months of service left DONT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME upon research of this company i have found this is not the first time this has happened and it wont be the last DONT LET THEM GET YOU.......................... more

This is the most outrageous trash company ever. The guy threatens you and leaves voicemails threatening you and also uses racial slurs. The guy is a ticking time bomb.I have asked for the police department to add extra security in our area because we are so afraid of this guy. I canceled my service with him and he became upset.I have filed a report with the police department and waiting on the next step. We did trash service with Scrivens for about 6 months or so. We paid extra for the ""houseside pick-up"" rather than the curbside pick-up. The can was right on the side of the house, beside the garage. They would leave the trash can at the road, so we called. Then they proceeded to leave the can in the middle of the driveway, so when you open your garage door, you have to get out and move the trash can before you can move. When we complained, they acted like we were really a pain in the rear. Trash began to show up on the road. Sloppy work. Our final pick-up was the first pick-up after Christmas, which is HUGE in trash capacity. We wheeled the trash can down and put extra trash down there in our regular cans. They didn't even take our trash from the regular cans?! Pick-ups were at 3am, which I found to be insanely early. I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy. Horrible all the way around. I used this company for one year and it is the worst experience that I have ever had with any company. I asked for my service to be canceled and the owner Glen Scrivens, had his workers take the trash out of the can and leave it in my drive way. I put a stop payment on the check and Glen called and left a voicemail, cursing me out and threated to ""come and deal with me on Chrismas Day"". He also sent me a letter indicating that ""He does not like to give service to black people"". He had my credit card number on file and charged the card without authorization. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO MY WORST ENEMY. The bills sent are random, not itemized, and fees are made up at the convenience of the owner. The company is rude and unprofessional. The company does not have the equipment needed to dump the trash in the truck properly. A worker, has to hand pick the trash out of the cans. Get this... they are a trash service but will leave a ""nastygram"" on your front door if your trash is thrown directly in the trash bin and not packed neatly in a trash bag. In the threatening voicemail left for me, the owner indicated (and I quote), ""you have the nerve to leave all of that trash and $h*t for me to pick up"". I have used American Waste Disposal for more than five years. Recently, I switched to a competitor because a family member who lives at my address receives free pick up from another disposal service. I called AWD a couple of weeks ago to have them cancel my service and bill me for the balance. They did not pick up the can, which was full, even though I stated they could charge me for that pick up, too. \r Today, the can was picked up and the two week old trash was dumped at the end of my driveway. I tried to call them and all I get is voicemail. It is near impossible to speak to a human at this company. If I littered, I could be charged with a misdemeanor. If you have a choice in your neighborhood, you should not choose to do business with American Waste Disposal. For them to be in the environmental business, it appears they don't respect our environment. more
