Scott Clark's Toyota

I went to this dealer to buy a specific car, however I was steered into another car that was cheaper and told was comparable. It was not. I was sold an extended warranty and then lied to about the terms and how it would be financed. Long story short, they took the money I would have paid for a quality car and coerced me into buying one that is not for essentially the same price. A little more all said and done actually. I had no idea that the extra cost would be financed because I was shown one amount and then another actually ended up going to the bank. After complaining, this dealer's idea to "make things right" for me was to try to convince me to go upside down on my loan and buy a more expensive car from them. This was after they admitted to poor business practice and apologized profusely (I went through three reps, all of which claiming they would have never let what happened happen on their watch). When I wouldn't go along with their plan I was told how foolish I was for buying the car I bought in the first place, the one THEY sold to me a couple weeks earlier. This was after several people came out and made it sound like they would refund the money on my warranties but if I wanted they would swap the car out for the same bloated price of my current non-quality car + extended warranties. This was to keep me busy by showing me "special" cars so everyone else could quietly sneak out and go home. That way when I didn't bite they could say "Well hey, were closed now so there's nothing else we can do". The reason it took so long for me to realize the amount they financed for me was because I didn't get my paperwork for three weeks, then their bank(PNC) told me they didn't service the loan themselves and instead outsourced it. I was given a website that was invalid to get my info, then eventually found something by searching for individual parts of the bogus web address on Google. Imagine my surprise when I finally got to see the total amount financed. All I got prior to this was payment coupons in the mail more

Travis Wilson & Jonathan Shapiro were my sale associates during my recent purchase. They both did not pressure me and allowed me to make my first car experience something that I will never forget. I went to several other dealerships prior to visiting Scott Clark Toyota. All dealerships were offering college discounts, but Scott Clark’s lifetime warranty and other incentives made me take a visit. After visiting Scott Clark I sat down and had to make a decision, the main and only reason I chose Scott Clark over the other Toyota and other manufacturers was because of Travis Wilson and Jonathan Shapiro. Their customer service skills were excellent and they were really passionate about not only making a sale but making a great selection for my needs. They made the very large dealership feel like a comfortable home for this deal and future deals. Those two gentlemen were respectful, honest, caring and great individuals to work with. When the sale was final they did not end their communication with me. I receive phone calls from both Travis and Jonathan just checking to see how I am doing. Robby Pryor is the BEST sales manager we have had the opportunity to work with. This is our 3rd. new car from Scott Clark Toyota. Because of our dealings with Robby we will return for our next new vehicle. I can't stress enough what a great sales manager he is. I've purchased most of my vehicles from Toyota as a family tradition...they are just the best! Since I live in Indian Trail (for the last past 5 years), I've purchased and traded-in (for myself and my two sons) at least 6 Toyotas (2 Corollas, 2 Tacomas, 2 FJ Cruisers and a Highlander). 5 of these vehicles were purchased from Scott Clark and, due to my sons' needs, we had to trade-in a couple of them. I must say that the service is just excellent and they do go way beyond the reasonable customer service you'd expect from other dealerships. They not only actually care about meeting the customer's financial needs, they make sure the customer walks out extremely satisfied with the purchase. Only once, I went to another Toyota dealership because Scott Clark did not have the vehicle I needed and wanted in stock (they had sold out)! I have only one wish to be met by Toyotas Manufacturers and that is that they decide to build a vehicle with the motor (27 MPG), interior and family convenience of a Highlander but with the exterior square shape of the FJ Cruiser! GMC just came out with the Terrain model which does 32 MPG....I wish it could be a TOYOTA! more

I have never financed a car and so I did extensive research and spent several days visiting car dealerships. I went back to Scott's three times! (Third time's a charm!) It was a good experience and I loved how I was not pressured and the follow-thru was amazing! I feel good about this purchase not only becouse of the car (which I LOVE!!)but because Frank was AWESOME, informative and not overbearing. I would certainly purchase another vehical from them in the future and recommend them to a friend! more

It's really very simple. The last seven cars I have purchased have been Toyotas. All of them were with Scott Clark. I have never been disappointed in the service, the overall friendliness and quality of work in the last eight to ten years. They are the only dealership I will deal with. more

I felt welcomed and not pressured, Travis, Jason and Phillip were AWESOME!!!! I will refer others to your dealership, I no longer will ever go to Toyota of North Charlotte. I have been a customer of Toyota for the last 20 years. I expect great customer service. I have purchased 2 vehicles from Scott Clark Toyota Scion. Both of my experiences have been great. I would like to thank Curtis Lanier for his professionalism, and great customer service during my last purchase. I am very aware of the issues that Toyota has had within the last 3 years.
