Sclamos Appliance & Furniture

I give this business a big zero overall. An employee who acted authoritatively and seemed very knowledgeable sold me a part she convinced us was the one needed to repair my broken appliance. This part was rather expensive, but not as costly as replacing the appliance or having a repairman come. Stamped on the receipt given to me after the sale was made are the words "NO REFUNDS". We were not told there was no refund on parts, even though we discussed with our "salesperson" the possibility that we would purchase three of the possible culprit parts and replace them one by one until finding which one was bad and returning the ones that weren't necessary. Long story short, the part we were sold didn't fix the problem. The phone girl was polite in mentioning the no refund policy, and the manager, Greg, was prompt in returning my call...however, he was crass and rude and hung up on me before I was finished talking to him. more

Yeah, real great shipping. We were supposed to get a phone call when they were on their way. We came home to find a fridge that was bigger than the dimensions that we initially gave them. AND, it was just sitting on our back deck!! Real great service! They completely suck! I would never do business with them. You think their commercials suck?? Well at least the commercials match their customer service! I'd have done better hiring a wind up monkey! more

I bought a washing machine at Sclamos a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Then last week, my dryer caught fire so I bought a dryer as well. They are easily the best price I could find locally or on the internet and since they are local, I know where to go if I have problems. I don't know what the 1 star guy's problem is but I rec'd a call for both deliveries and they were in and out quickly so I could get on with my day. more

Their delivery service was awful. I was told my mattress would arrive between 1-5 p.m., though I gave them my cell phone number, they never once called, even when they were 45 minutes late. My roommate had to deal with it at 5:45 and called me to come back. They were 45 minutes late, but did not wait the 6 minutes it took me to come back to the apartment and left the mattress on the wrong floor. Their customer service/manager said it was MY FAULT for not calling THEM after THEY were LATE. On top of this, after moving my mattress to the right floor (what I paid for), the mattress had some sort of grease stain on it. One of the worst retailing experiences i've had. more

I have visited and purchased from Sclamo's on more than one occasion. Their prices are very fair, and they deliver when they promise to. They even helped me out when I had a problem that wasn't exactly covered under warranty. They are very fair and easy to deal with, they have a large selection of new and used Furniture and appliances. PROS: A pleaser for any budget. CONS: none more
