Schuerer, Paula, Dvm - Animal Ark Animal Hospital

It was truely a God send for the Franklin/Brentwood are the day Animal Ark Animal Hospital opened it's doors. The Vet there is Dr Paula and she is AMAZING !!!! She has now made her 4th middle of the night rush to meet me at her clinic for yet another crisis I was having with one of my many four legged babies and , of course , performed her magic !!!\r On regular visit she has always been very thorough and wil REFUSE to do unneeded test or procedures. \r They have never over charged or price hicked on any of mine ,or my families bills. \r Her staff is also very friendly , knowledgeable, compassinate,and quick to make you feel at home and part of the family.\r She has saved more than one life for us and I will forever be thankful to her and her wonderful staff !!!\r I recommend this clinic and staff to anyone and everyone that needs an honest, hard working wonderful vet clinic and staff that is there to do any and everything they can for your beloved animal !!!\r Love you Guys !!!! more

We have been w/Dr. Paula for about 6 years now & I would not trust anyone else w/my babies. There have been several instances where she has gone above & beyond to diagnose & treat my precious rescued Maltese. She & her staff never cease to amaze me w/their care & compassion. After searching around the area and trying 4 other veterinary clinics, close to my residence, someone recommended Animal Ark. It is a substantial drive for me but for the past 6 years I have gladly done it. I have found that their number one priority is my dogs. They do\r whatever it takes to treat them kindly, gently and with complete compassion. Besides Dr. Paula, every other\r employee at the clinic shows the same love and care.\r The health issues are solved and options are given with\r a lot of conversation along the way. We have been with Dr. Paula for 5 years now. I completely trust her with our first born, our yellow lab Max. I have never felt she recommended tests or procedures that were unnecessary or excessive. In fact, there have been plenty of instances where she could have rightly recommended testing and has consistently opted for the conservative approach. She has been available for us on more than one occasion after hours. She makes herself available via pager and actually answers it. She treats our dog with the same concern and attention that our pediatrician treats our children with. I have, and will continue to, recommend Dr. Paula to friends. more

I can NOT say enough good things about Dr. Paula and her practice. Dr. Paula @ Animal Ark has been our vet for 3 years. Having lived in different locations, we've had several vets over the years. This is our favorite. Vets are just special people. I am a former client of Animal Ark, and wish I left even sooner. Not only were the prices for medication, etc. outrageous, but the most of the testing done on my animals was entirely not necessary. I am disgusted at the way I was treated as if I didn't care for my animals. I understand that the clinic needs to make a profit, but since leaving Animal Ark and trying a new clinic and comparing prices, I can't believe how much gouging was going on. The last straw was when I received a message from Animal Ark saying that they now had a 24 hour cancellation policy which incurred a cost of $25.00. I'm surprised they didn't charge you for parking. Isn't it supposed be about the animals. I can honestly say that my animals were in better health before Animal Ark. Every time I brought them in they seemed to have another ailment that needed more testing. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I had been taking my 13 sheltie to Dr. Paula for a number of years. It was discovered he had a large tumor on his spleen that needed removing. Dr. Paula took hin to surgery to discover there were two baseball size tumors. She removed them and drove them to the state lab herself so she could speak to the Pathologist directly. Bailey feel very ill after surgery. This vet slept on a blowup mattress next to him in the clinic for three nights trying to nurse him back to health. She emailed colleagues and experts in the field seeking other options to make sure she had not missed anything. After and long a brave battle by both Bailey and Dr. Paula he crossed the rainbow bridge. Being the dog lover that I am I started looking for another family memeber, Dr, Paula offered to go with me to the animal shelter to look for another dog. I have 4 year old twins at home and she wanted to do a quick exam and temperment test the dog. We welcomed Sadie into our family that day. You can look long and hard and will not find another human or vet on this earth that would go to those extremes. What a blessing! Pros: Caring service clean environment. more

Found online after we just moved to the Nashville area, and after the first visit with our puppy we were very pleased with Paula and all the staff there. Paula even called us back personally at 3am one morning when puppy was sick.....such great care and service. Would recommend to anyone needing a good Vet. more

I've been taking my brussels griffon puppy, Bear to Paula now for almost three years and I have found her vetinary practice to be the best I've ever encountered. She's handeled everything from regular check-ups to endoscopic surgery (my dog ate my engagement ring when he was 6 months old). She's kind, brilliant and funny. I strongly recommend her to anyone who loves their pet and desires that their vetinary practice reflects that love. more
