Savin Dermatology Ctr

I'll keep it brief, DR.Savin has no bedside mannerism's. He definitely breezed through his career on luck alone. I went for an acne and dermatitis assessment. He didn't attempt to analyze any of my skin. He simply looked at me and said: "I don't think I can fix that. I can't fix everything. If someone dies I can't fix that." I had to pause and take a deep breath as not to come out if character as my son was with me. I asked him: "what exactly is it that you do? Are you not a dermatologist? Can you assess, analyze, and suggest preventative treatment? I'm paying a $50 copay and my insurance is being billed for me to assess myself and my son and you just write scripts?? A waste of my time and my patience was up from the minute he sat down. The visit lasted all of 3minutes. I'm still confused on what was done. Please read reviews before going to this clinic. If they were BBB accredited I'd get every dime of my money back!! They're not accredited for a reason!! more

I had to go to the er for an abcess on my chest that had to be lanced.The abcess had formed on the top of a lump which may or may not be a cyst. Very traumatic. I made a follow up appointment with this place because someone had reccommended it to me. ( They had never seen Dr. Savin). I wanted the best care because the lump was near my breast and wanted to be sure what it was and go from there. I arrived at the office with my bandages still on from the er. The nurse took off my bandages and the Dr. came in. Did not even look me in the eye. Looked at my wound and said "So tell my why you are here" Um how about nice to meet you or I am doctor so and so?? I said the er doctors said I need the packing removed and then you would examine me to see what this is. "Oh did they" he said. Well I think I may have to "stick it" I said what does that mean- relance it? The er said it was fully drained. He said "Did you come here to argue with me? I said no I just am very concerned because... it was very painful and want to avoid that kind of pain at all costs. He said- They gave you something for the pain did they I said yes they did. Lucky you.I started crying and said I just..... He totally cut me off stood up and the nurse came back in. Nurse: What do you want me to do and where are you going- he said lay her on the table .... and NO anesthesia. She said um well okay but you need a consent for that He scoffed and walked out looked back at the nurse again and repeated- No anthesia. I am going to go save someone else's life who won't start arguements with me." She seemed perplexed herself and told me to lie down. Something inside me said NO! This is not right. I was very scared. I asked if there was a bathroom and ran out. I called when I got home still shaking and asked if my insurance would be billed. The receptionist said it says no charge for today. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!! I cannot even comprehend why this man treated me this way. Do not ever go there especially if you are a woman. This doctor is a shame to his profession! more

This man lacks even a spec of professionalism. He simply wants the $. It's time for Savin to retire so that other (like myself) don't get diagnosed with a "bug bite" only to find out it is nothing of the sort....from a REAL dermatologist. Yet, he likes to jack up the billing codes and diagnose you with diseases you've never discussed. Check all bill codes once received...then you'll understand. Ladies, bring a 2nd person along...he's inappropriate and you'll leave crying otherwise. more

Once I had this crazy rash on my face that was getting near my eye and then on my throat. I had no history of fast spreading rashes and didn't know what to do. This office got me an appointment the next day, and I thought he would give me a steriod topical cream or something, but explained an old remedy that would work just as well without having to take steriods to get rid of the rash. I left the office thinking that it would never work, but applied the compress soaked in the solution recipe he gave me, and the rash improved after the first application, and was gone before the 24 hours he said it would take. I appreciate a doctor who does not have his patients take drugs with side affects for no good reason, and it took care of my problem immediately. My friend also sees him for cystic acne that is very painful, and says he is the only doctor who has been able to keep it under control. more
