As a patron of the Spa you also have access to the gym facilities. Which means, come early to use the ladies locker room where they have steam, sauna and jacuzzi. Or you can stay later and take a relaxing meditation or yoga class! This is by far the BEST value for your dollar! Not to mention the professional clientele and talent working at Body Spectrum. Each service provider is highly experience in their field with years of experience. You will sense immediately they are there working because it is their passion and vocation to do so, not just another day or another dollar to make a buck. These are genuine and caring professionals working to make YOU fell better and more alive in this stress filled society. Come in a take a breal from it all. I have been going to The Body Spectrum for years. I am not a member of Spectrum clubs, but found out you could go to the spa even if you weren't a member, and what a treasure I have found! I decided to write a review because with the economy being what it is, I want my favorite place to be around for another 24 years! The Massage Therapists are fantastic! Very well trained in how to fix the body. My favorite is Lisa, who also makes you feel like she really pays attention to what is going on with your body at the time, and she knows her stuff if you happen to be injured. I also have had very good massages from Karen, Kimmy, Taylor, Jeanette and Amy. The facials are also great, even though I don't get them often. I love the Epicuren products. Angie and Shannon were both great. Treat yourself, or if you are in pain, and need to be fixed, The Body Spectrum is the place to go. I have tried Massage Envy and The Massage Spot, and it is just so hit and miss, that I feel like I have wasted my money, when I know that I can get a "sure thing" at The Body Spectrum. more

This little gem is tucked away inside the spacious Spectrum Club but is stands on it's own. This is the South Bay so don't expect Beverly Hills type prices or fluff but for the money this is a great place to get a massage or facial. I got a gift certificate a few years ago and now I go almost every month. Pros: Atmosphere, price, parking, services Cons: None more

Services are good, but it is not your world class spa. Do not expect to have Hashani spa experience. They offer $60 massage or facial, but you can get a great facial for the same price in a much nicer ambiance (fireplace, classical music and candle light) visit Elizabeth at Chez Zary Hair design and Spa in Manhattan Beach close to Traders Joe. The BEST spa and massage therapists in the Beach Cities! I made the mistake of going to several of the "Massages-R-Us" type massage places like Just Massage or Massage Express or whatever, and I decided to try the Body Spectrum on the advice of a good friend who has been going there for spa treatments for years. OMG!!! Until I had my first massage at Body Spectrum, I didn't realize that at all those other places I had been getting just ordinary massages, even substandard, because my first and every massage since that I have gotten at Body Spectrum has been EXTRAORDINARY! The massage therapists that I have had so far have been Ayana, Michelle, and Shelley, and they have all been incredible! My friend always gets her massages from Brian and Karen, and to her, massages are a religion! I haven't tried any of the skin care treatments yet, but I hear the treatments are fantastic. I am also so jazzed that they use and sell Epicuren skin care products! I think that they also do laser and boxtox injectables, but I haven't really looked into that yet, but I know that someday soon I will. That being said, I will NEVER, EVER go back to those Massage-R-Us type places again! I wasted alot of time and money, and I feel stupid for not listening to my friend earlier about Body Spectrum. Wow, the absolute best massage and facial I have had, and I have had them all ove the world. A friend of mine who is a member at Spectrum club, invited me to come and work out and get a massage. The club is huge with plenty of equiptment. We steamed, soaked and enjoyed the locker room, then went and got our treatments. My experiance from walking into Body Spectrum was very soothing and comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My massage therapist was awsome. She was sensivtive to my needs, not only physically but I really felt like she cared. The facial I had was great too. she took the time to ask me what I wanted. All in all it is one of the most comfortable, and friendly spa's I have been to. The best part is you don't have to be a member of the club to make an appointment at the spa, and it is very reasonably priced. For $150.00 I got a massage and a facial, and was able to use the locker room facilities. I will absolutely be going back. more

My experience, from my phone call to make anappointment to when I checked out and everything in between was the most healing and satisfying Day spa experience I've ever had. The staff at the booking desk took time to talk with me about my needs so they could match me with a massage therapist who would work for me. They were just as friendly and accomodating when I arrived to check in. AND my massage therapist was fantastic. She took time to make sure about what I needed. She was highly trained and able to help with my neck and shoulder pain. And on top of that I not only felt physical relief but I felt taken care of, relaxed and like I had experienced a break from my stressful life. I definitely will be going back and highly reccomend that you try this place. It's nice to feel cared about!
