This review is so overdue and I feel really bad because if it was possible to give more stars, I would. Charlieis the best. Right from the get go, he was a complete professional and very helpful. On moving day, they were on time and did everything right. They did not break one thing and they did our move from Redwood City to Oakley!\r \r Honestly, I recommend them without reservation. Charlie and Francisco are the best! Thank you for all your hard work and absolute kindness! My husband and I truly grateful! You guys are sincerely awesome! more

I have used San Jose Movers for moving our office and our home. They have been stellar. They recently moved a single female friend of mine. All the experiences that we've had with them have been stellar. The charges were reasonable. The speed at which things are complete are excellent. I had no damage and the movers sane, normal people. I would unhesitatingly recommend them more

Most other movers base their estimate on weight. San Jose Movers does it based on volume - how much truck space it takes up. Then they give you a cost for your move along with an electronic, detailed inventory list that only will change if you significantly add or remove items. I easily communicated with them several times in the week up to the move to update my inventory and it was quickly taken care of and updated online each time. My cost to move went down in fact as I decided not to take a few big things at the last second. Otherwise, your ""estimate"" is guaranteed and if a few extra boxes show up at the end it's no big deal.\r \r Compare this to the other supposed well regarded traditional movers who gave me a PDF of a handwritten scrawl of our inventory on a reprinted form... and who also estimated over $1500 more in cost to move our items. Plus, there was no knowing if they had estimated wrong and once they weigh the truck we would have been out even more money. Once they have your stuff on the truck you are at their mercy for added cost.\r more

We used them again to move from our 5 bed/3.5 bath house in San Jose to another house in San Jose. We utilized not only their packing services but also their moving services.\r \r We moved on one of the hottest weekends of the year. They were punctual, friendly and super professional. They provided an accurate quote when we booked their services weeks out. We were pleasantly surprised when they came in under budget.\r more

I had the need to move several items across the bay. Jerry was respectful of my items and was more than reasonable on price. They made moving heavy/bulky items look like child's play.\r \r Honest and hardworking, can't beat that! more

Christie the moving consultant was really professional and polite throughout the whole process. She understood that I had a tight budget and was sincerely trying her best to meet me half way. She made sure someone from her team came to the apartment and conduct a visual inspection before providing me with an estimate (a lot of movers will spit out a low estimate to lure you and then slap you with a much higher final cost).\r \r The move was fairly smooth, and was completed in ~6 hours. They had estimated it to be in the 6-7 hour range. No pieces of furniture were broken or damaged. The four men crew were strong and professional. more

They arrived on time, took care when prepping (wrapping) my furniture and they moved quickly. I was fully prepared to play ""evil-eye hawk supervisor"" and if needed, hound them to hustle because I was clocking them (time is money); but honestly I didn't need to micro-manage them at all. Juan and Andres worked well independently, but were clearly a team, as they had the whole loading process synchronized. There was a period of time everything was moving along so well I chose to sneak away to grab myself a coffee at Starbucks. I returned to find everything moving forward as planned and I couldn't have been happier. They were so focused on their job I don't think they noticed I snuck away. No damages to any of my items and more importantly no mysteriously missing items (which I had experienced with a different moving company.) I will definitely hire these guys the next time I move. more

Our movers showed up when they were supposed to our 3 bed home in San Jose, an 8-9AM appointment, and got everything moved to Palo Alto in roughly 6 hours. They wrapped most all of the furniture in padded blankets to carefully protect everything. A few fragile pieces such as a large mirror and our large Flat Screen TV were custom packed for extra safety. By the way, the cost of packing materials was extra and not included in their cheap hourly rates, which was fine...... and explained to us before our move and probably why they got everything safely moved with 0% damage. They certainly know what they're doing and it shows when seeing them in action. I guess that's the real difference between professional movers and the other type of moving options out there.\r \r more
