I live in San Francisco, and had tried to avoid the car-thing until I had no other choice (my third child was in-the-oven). You always hear about how much it is cheaper to buy a car in the boonies, so I was dreading the trek out to Livermore or Fresno - no worries though, I had only to walk a few blocks from my loft: these folks at San Francisco Honda are just as competitive with their pricing. Plus, the experience I had with my salesman - Chris Kenyon - felt more like talking with one of my roll-dogs that I cause damage with on the weekends than someone trying to sell me something. He accommodated my odd schedule, found the exact car (Honda Odyssey) that I wanted, and I felt that he was so cool that, even if I didn't buy a car from him, he was totally cool with it, as if he could wait another 10 years so that I could swing-by and, maybe, I could buy my next car from him. Negotiation tends to be easy with these kinds of folks because you come to an agreement knowing that the transaction was based more on trust than a one-time zero-sum exchange; and trust me, I did my pricing research. Either he is an amazing salesman, or just one of those guys you prefer to deal with because he doesn't seem like one. May future car salesmen take the mold of such an individual. more

Had a great experience dealing with Chris Kenyon here. Bought a new 2011 Accord LX, and was in and out in an hour and half. Chris didn't try to upsell us and gave us honest answers to our questions. more

one of the better car experiences ive had. very good customer service from start to finish. when taking my appointment, they were courteous and looked into the timeline for ordering the parts to make sure that they could finish the job on the appointment day. they treated me like this even though all i needed was a cheap warranty repair. a lot of other places would have treated me differently because its obvious they werent going to make money off of me. and they got the job done in the timeframe they stated. more

Jose gave me the best price 7/25/2011

After a rigorous search for the best deal in the market, I chose to buy my new Honda CR-V SE AWD from San Francisco Honda. Jose Hangad, the internet sales manager gave me great information, great price, and great service. More than anything else, he was honest and transparent with all the details that I needed to know about the car and the deal. I am a pretty pessimistic person in trusting dealers and very tough in negotiating what I want. But I can testify that this gentleman is an honest person, with whom you do not need to play games to find the truth or the best deal. Thank you Jose. When I started shopping around for Honda CR-V, I contacted every single dealer and reseller in the Bay Area and told them that I want the best price and services they can offer. I collected quotes and ran a second round to verify that they actually have the vehicle and that they can beat the best price I had. Half of the dealers didn't even have the car. The other half were to lousy to respond to internet inquiries or only insisted on me visiting them and making an appointment for test drive. I did a test drive at Dublin Honda (who were also very helpful in giving information). But ended up with only four dealers who could actually deliver. Jose gave me the best price after all and did everything to keep me happy. I learned for the first time that a car dealer can also be a nice and honest person. more

I had a really straightforward experience both times I took my Fit in for maintenance, once in 2010 and once a year later. No drama, no one was trying to sell me anything crazy (one time I had an Audi dealership try to convince me to pay them hundreds to change my car battery . . .) and everybody was kind and attentive. I'm hesitant to give 5 stars because these were pretty basic maintenance visits so the service was as expected. I brought the car in with no appointment on a Saturday and was able to retrieve it at the end of the day. more
