The service was excellent. My mother and I went for a light dinner but were indecisive about what we wanted. The waiter was so patient and helped us out with our final decision....

Loved It! 1/6/2003

We love the variety of meats, The feeling of fun and excitment, yet being able to hold on a conversation with out yelling. We go to Samba Grill as often as we can! more

Yeah, who HAS been rating this? 12/26/2002

After looking over the reviews for this restaurant and some of the similar rBrazilian estaurants, it really seems to me that 'ringers' (staff or friends) have been building up Samba Grill and tearing down other similar restaurants around town. Samba Grill has a few nice touches, but, since I have been to ALL of the similar restaurants around town, I can really say that Samba Grill comes in last for me. I really don't intend to go back there, but I will be going to their competitors Pros: Good Beans Cons: Tough meat, Poor Selection more

Who has been rating this place? 12/23/2002

I ate at Samba grill a few months after they opened. I don't ever want to go back. It is similar to Rodizio grill, but has less of everything. It had less meat, a smaller salad bar, and horribly slow service. I had to ask individually for each of the appetizers they usually give to everyone. The quality of the few things they did have weren't nearly as good as Rodizio or Tucanos, the other popular Brazilian steakhouses in town. I can't believe this place has been given such high ratings. Were the people rating this place employees or actual customers? more

THE GREATEST 12/15/2002

This place is absolutely thee best place to enjoy dinner in Salt Lake City!! Pros: Great style, Excellent chefs, beautiful waitresses more

HORRIBLE SAMBA GRILL 12/13/2002

I visited Samba Grill with my wife. We enjoyed Rodizio and Tucanos and expected Samba to be similar. After arriving, it became apparent that the organization of the restaraunt is very disjointed. We sat with empty plates for durations of 10 minutes (not kidding) before another server would bring a selection. The meats were VERY dissapointing as well, they were all overcooked and far too tough. After waiting an hour for a mere 5 meats we began feeling ill and finally went up to the owner to mention this, at which point he trivialized our concerns. He made sure to correct us by telling us how many times we had been served (quoting the servers he had spoken with in Portuguese) and that it was our fault for not eating fast enough (after 4 mintues the meat goes cold?.... seriously). DON'T GO Pros: our waitress Cons: tough meat, slow service, high prices more

This place is over-ated! 12/4/2002

The place is really noisy. The price of the food far exceeds the quality. The shish kabobs were tough, and too much spice. With a party of four, you won't leave this place without spending a fortune. I will not return to this place. Pros: Next to good shopping Cons: Expensive, Too noisy more

excellent food with a great atmosphere 11/12/2002

The Samba Grill gave you everything you could ask for. There were plenty of tasty meats to choose from, while the was still plenty of great tasting fodd for those non-meat eaters. It was open and you could even hear the person talking across the table unlike Rodizio's. Pros: Open, Great Food, Nice Atmosphere Cons: Expensive more

Semi-disapointed 11/11/2002

I went here with a date and the staff practically neglected us. I had to stand up and walk up to the front to get the ticket. The food though was especiall good. So I guess it's a trade off. A bit pricey though. Pros: Good Food, Good Parking Cons: Lousy Service, Pricey more

Romantic? Yeah right! 11/4/2002

Not romantic at all? Who decided that this place was romantic???? more

PASS ON THIS ONE 10/26/2002

I took my family for lunch. We were very disappointed. The food was very blah and the wait staff was terrible. more

Nao valor o hype! 10/22/2002

I was in Samba Grill last night for a friend's birthday dinner, my first time there. The fact that we were 16 people did not change the frequency at which the servers visited our table. The large open space and the high walls give a feeling of coldness. There was no music playing and the meat selections are limited. With all this in consideration, we still had to pay an arm or a leg when the check came. The cost is exaggerated. I beleive it's up to the customer to decide what gratitude he/she wants to pay and not for the resturant to decide. Overall, despite the very friendly and nice servers, it's disappointing! Pros: Friendly servers Cons: Expensive, Inadequate ambience more

Good for the Money 10/14/2002

Good value for the money. If you wanted a repeat of something, it took a long time to get it, even after specifically requesting it. more

Latin grilled feast. 9/9/2002

Excellent food. Very clean restaurant. Tasty grilled beef, chicken, turkey, and pork. Excellent salad bar. Highly recommended. more

Cold and Dry 9/5/2002

I took my family expecting it to be of the same theme as the Radizio Grill. While it offers the same cusine as the Radizio Grill, we found the Samba Grill to be much less enjoyable. The food was mostly overdone, dry, tough, and cold. I did wonder if the food quality would have been better on another day. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were not very many customers in the store. So the food may have stayed on the grill longer than normal. Pros: Nice facility, Dinnerware was nice Cons: Poor Quality Food more

Samba Bomba 9/5/2002

Great growth potential. Samba needs to grow into it's own. Not a well seasoned Grill yet. We Had to ""Grin and Bare"" our experience at Samba Grill. Pros: Good Location Cons: Dim Service, Too Many TVs, Low to Average Value more

U of U loves the Samba 9/5/2002

This restaurant has personality! The food is... let's just say exotic and awesome. Thnx to trax the U administration bldg is on one end and Samba on the other. It's an easy ride and well worth it. Pros: Price more

Totally Awesome Food 9/3/2002

Great food, great place and the nicest people around serving meats everywhere. Where have I been eating before Samba, I don't know. This place rocks. So whoever told me to check this place out, thanks you were right Pros: yummy pineapple, oh fried bananas, ahhh lemonade Cons: I ate too much more

Favorite Lunch spot 8/29/2002

This is always the favorite stop for my coworkers and I. Whenever we have a group lunch, this is the place we want to go. more

Lacking all the way around 8/29/2002

Unfortunately we felt the Samba restaurant was lacking in several areas. The Brazilian theme is not carried out, when an american baseball game is playing. Is this a sports bar? There was only 1 person serving the meat selections, so the time waiting made you either eat more salad or decide to eat later elsewhere. Too bad we hoped for much more Pros: fun location - mall Cons: no atmosphere more

good enought 8/28/2002

i visited the Samba grill restaurant and i was very good impessed, the food is very testy and the prices are very accesible. more
