Sam Ash Music Stores

I have been shopping at the Charlotte Sam Ash for 6 years now...it has been that long I know because I have renewed my set-up plan 3 times already on my Jackson Soloist guitar, yeah, that's right 6 years of set-ups for peanuts just because they want me coming around...like I need a bribe. Those sales guys in guitars have been there for years and are a tight nit bunch, Martin, Brad, Andy the tech, and the lot. If you have questions they got answers. Brad, the acoustic guy, didn't know an answer to an oddball question about wood. Two days later he calls me with a long graphic explanation....you don't get that anymore with retail.....go there give them your money, smile at least once today, and tell em' Johnny sent ya... Pros: service was outstanding, selection enormous, prices garaunte Cons: will consume wallet everytime you enter more

I just came out of the best music store that I have ever been to. it is Sam Ash Music in Charlotte NC. The staff was great and extreamly knowledgable. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and I didn't have any problems finding the help that I needed and they had exactly what I needed in stock. Nothing in stock! The most popular items (like Regal Tip 2B wood tip sticks) aren't even stocked, forget about something slightly out of the ordinary. I do most of my buying online but sometimes I want to get something (like drumsticks) locally but I can count on Sam Ash and The Guitar Center NOT to have it. It's pathetic for a chain store of that size not to carry, at least, the most basic items. more
