Go somewhere, ANYWHERE ELSE!!! I walked into this salon without a referral (my mistake). I saw Tony for highlights. It was a horrible experience. He had me hold the foils and hand them to him as he needed them. So much for a relaxing salon experience. He put me to work. The highlights are spotty & uneven. I could have done better with Sun-In, doing it myself. He pulled my hair when he was brushing it and burned my scalp with the blow dryer. You'd think he's never done this before! I'm not sure of his credentials but I'd be surprised if he has any. The salon was dirty. Hair and dirt and dust covered his area and supplies. It was a horrible experience. Find somewhere better. Do it yourself. Just don't go here! I'm convinced that the positive reviews were submitted by staff. more

After reading the reviews I decided to give Salon Studio a try as I am constantly looking for my next hair guy/girl. (I move often so the search is never ending) The prices were reasonable and the location was perfect for me so I made an appointment with Tony. I have super thick, long, curly hair that is next to impossible to wear down. After being welcomed and ushered into the chair, no waiting, Tony listened to about two sentences from me about what I wanted and understood. He reiterated what I said and I left it in his hands. He washed my hair, and then dried it. I have never had my hair cut dry, I've had some come back in with the scissors after it was dry but never the complete cut. The man knows what he is doing. I've been playing with my hair for about a week now and it is just brilliant. It is long and curly, but now it is light, hangs beautifully and is effortless. I can't speak for the rest of the stylists or the other services they provide, but if you need to trust someone with your hair you can't go wrong with Tony! more

I went with my young (7 y/o) daughter. I requested Tony because of the previous reviews I read. He sounded like a great stylist, and he was. My hair came out great and the way he styled it---it looked really good!!\r \r The problem was, my daughter was put with a younger guy. Don't know his name because he was at a stall for a female. As far as I know, this younger man did not even have a license, and he certainly cut my daughter's hair like it was his first day in training! Tony came over and instructed him on how to cut correctly, SEVERAL times.! I have no idea what they were saying becuase it was an oriental language I did not understand. Her hair came out terrible. \r \r My daughter and I went sometime back in August 2010 and have not returned yet. I later took her to the new Great Clips behind McDonald's in Leander. For a lot less, they fixed her hair after it grew out a few inches. \r \r My recommendation is to see only Tony. He is good. I don't know about anyone else, but if they put you with anyone else, make sure they show you their license and find out how many years they have been cutting hair. A little child with messed up hair is not good, but as and adult, you don't want to be walking around looking awful. I am giving 2 stars, because my experience was ""sorta good"". Went looking for a place to get my nails and found this wonderful clean nail salon without the smell of any chemicals that you experience in others.\r \r Its a good place and have beed going there for some time. more

I was referred here by a friend. I was a little nervous because it had been so long since I had color/ highlights in my hair. Well needless to say, I am not disappointed at all! Tony cut and highlighted my hair and did a great job! I will definitally going back! To add a bonus, its around the corner from my house! more

After moving to Cedar Park after being away from Austin for 13+ years, I was desperate to find a good salon in my area. After reading good reviews for Salon Studio, I decided to give them a try. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! Kathy is awesome!!! She gave me a great cut and color that I have gotten many, many compliments on. The salon doesn't look like much from the outside as it is off of the highway in a little strip center but the inside of the salon is very clean and stylish. Prices are extremely reasonable, too. I will definitely be going back! more

Tony has cut and styled my hair twice. I was extremely pleased both times. I brought a photo of a cut that I wanted and Tony duplicated it perfectly. He is a fast and efficient stylist, which I appreciate. The price is also reasonable! more

I have had two great experiences with this salon! It is very clean and modern looking! Kathy did a great job on my hair, and I will actually be seeing her again today! I can't wait! more

The first time I came here I had a great experience and Tony did a fabulous job on my hair. That's why I went back. I am growing out my very short hair and just needed it trimmed. I saw Tony again. I felt like he was rushing and also was preoccupied talking with a coworker the whole time, which was a bit rude. He did not do a good job, which is sad because I just wanted a trim. He chopped of all my bangs and made them super short and horrible, one side is shorter than the other and uneven. I am upset because growing out such a short hair style is hard and takes a long time. This is a set back for me, and the front of my hair looks terrible. I wont be coming here again because it seems like you never know what you are going to get. Pros: close to my house more

I absolutely love getting my mani's and pedi's done at Salon Studio! I have been using their nail services since they opened some years ago and would not go anywhere else. I love the service here!! The staff is very professional and THOROUGH. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important to me and I have always watched the technicians take their tools from a sealed sterile pack. In addition, they bleach the tubs after each customer. Duke usually does my mani and pedi and he pays attention to every last detail. There is no skimping on the calf and foot massage, either. Plan to stay awhile because quality takes time. I have been visiting this salon for about two years and I have never been disappointed. The prices are reasonable and they run specials from time to time, as well. Give them a try!! I just moved from Boston and am used to downtown Boston and Harvard Square salons. I stumbled into Salon Studio, on crutches, shortly after moving here to Leander. I was amazed at the quality. It is the nicest salon I have ever been in. And the service totally beats all other salons I have been in. I love my haircuts and I love Tony. He is the nicest sweetest man and gives inspired haircuts. I have exactly what I want from him. I assumed I would need to go to Austin for haircuts and I am so glad I went there. I didn't research or anything.\r I feel so lucky. Go-be patient with some English from the receptionists and you won't regret it!!! The receptionist guy (who barely spoke english) confused my appointment time, and then placed me with some guy who was doing nails, and in retrospect, i question even had a license to do hair. Anyways, i must of said ten times, ""NO BLEACH"" as my hair is very fragile and i have a sensitivity to it. Guess what ""genius"" uses?!?! My scalp of course was burning, and my hair ended up looking like a fried disaster. I think they knew it looked bad because they talked back and forth to each other in Chinese at the OBVIOUS yellow splotches...but then maybe not because he seemed surprised when I didn't give him a tip...and I will NEVER waste my money there again!! I have been searching for a hair dresser for years that knew how to give my curls a nice cut so that they always have a great shape even without doing much to it like blow drying it or spending hours on styling it in the morning.\r \r I found this place through a friend and fell in love with the place right away.\r \r The staff is very professional, young, mature and friendly.\r \r They offer you a bottle of water upon arrival. Then you meet with a hair stylist who will spend time with you and always have a great idea and are experienced and knowleadgable in giving you suggestions on what your preference is for a cut or style.\r \r The washers are great and friendly always and give you a nice massage while washing your hair.\r \r Then you're off to the cut - and in just only few snippets of hair you're done with an amazing cut and style.\r \r The stylists that I've met so far at the Salon are Tony and Kathy and they're both amazing.\r \r Very happy with the Salon and would highly recommend it to all. I just moved here from Dallas and been looking for a stylist that can do my hair the way it was done back home. First salon was a mess, didn't know what they were doing! Then I gave this place a try.... It didn't take me that long to find Kathy as a keeper! She did an amazing job on my cut first and then I scheduled a color for the following week. The appointment setup was smoothe and they made me feel very very comfortable. There was no rush. The service was done in a reasonable time, just like what a pro would do! About 10 days ago I messed up my hair trying to coloring it myself. At 5pm I walked into the salon with pumpkin orange hair! Even though it was near the end of the day Toni assisted me. He got my hair back to a natural look of high and low lights. Cleaned up the cut and got me ready for a big interview I had the next day! \r The price was affordable. The location in great. They one thing i liked most about this place is it's the nicest salon I've been too. My first impression upon parking, which was very pack that day, was that I might have to dish out some money to getting a trim. \r \r Tony is great and knew what I wanted, make sure I was comfortable before he shampooed my hair. My last salon was horrible, I didn't even get to tell the cutter what I wanted, she just washed my hair and then said how much i wanted to take off.
