I was tired of driving downtown to get my hair cut, so I decided to be daring and try this local salon when I received a coupon in the mail. Considering I was hesitant to even try Avant's north location or the new local Aveda salon, this was a big leap for me. \r

I had my appointment last Thursday evening with Vinh and I love my layered haircut! The soft spoken stylist had great technique and attention to detail. He was polite, helpful with tips, and wasn't overly chatty and I appreciate that! I have had far less impressive hair cuts at the big named Austin salons. I usually hate what people do with my bangs and he was intuitive as to what I wanted. With the coupon this haircut was a steal at only $20 (regularly $40), so I tipped 50%! \r

The salon is very clean and modern and I find the salon to have its own very distinctive urban charm. The owner's mother, who acted as receptionist when I called and when I arrived, may be a little hard to understand for some, I find her charming and hospitable. \r

My only complaint would be the music (sorta old fashioned in a bad way) and I am not in love with the scent of the shampoo and conditioner (though it seemed to work just fine, I tend to prefer more sweet or natural scents). Also, if I had a wish, it would be for a little scalp massage which is included at some salons.\r
