Went to the salon for the first time today. Elle took a lot of time with me before she started working on my hair. She did a really great job and added tons of volume. The salon is adorable, the owner is so warm and welcoming. I will go back again and again and Elle will be my stylist for a long time to come. more

This is a great place to get your hair cut. You will leave looking like a supermodel, and for only forty bucks a cut. Katy is quite possibly the best stylist ever. The place needs a bit of an updated look. The contrasting lime and dark purple paint look like a tween's bedroom. And I'm not crazy about Pravana products. But it's really no reason to miss this place. more

I tried Salon Purple for the 2nd time today. I originally went a while ago and had Erica cut off 18 inches of my hair... whew! that is scary! But she did an EXCELLENT job and made sure I was sure about my decision. I went again for my 2nd visit today. I had Erica give me a cut/shape as well as full highlights. I have lots of fine hair and it is NOT easy to cut. I have never had my hair foiled and have been dying my hair black for years. I was nervous about the highlights. But Erica is very confident and sure of her work. I wanted to steer away from black without completely damaging my hair. Erica suggested carmel highlights so that we can easily transition away from jet black. LOOOVE my hair! I love the cut, I love the color. It is still healthy! No damage at all. I highly recommend Salon Purple and Erica. She is terribly sweet and LISTENS. No one is pushy and the salon is edgy and fun. It is in a some-what less than fancy :) part of town but do not let that fool you. They have something special going on over there! and PS, I had my hubs drive me and decided he needed a cut, too...and his hair looks SO good! He normally goes to knockouts but now he and I will both be regular SP clients! :D more

Kristy! Kristy! Kristy!... All I can say is O---M---G!!! After going to a salon on 7th street for the past year, I started to realize I was getting duped and milked for all the money I was willing to spend on a crap job haircut. I decided to try Salon Purple and Kristy did my cut and color. I was absolutely amazed with how much of an excellent job she did. She cut my hair exactly how I asked and managed to fix my crap job haircut. She actually made my hair look longer than what it was before, even after cutting off the dead ends! My color and highlights looked amazing!! It was exactly what I asked for and looked super natural.She wasn't pushy and didn't push product on me like so many other places that I've been to. The salon was creatively decorated. You wouldn't expect this place to be so great because of the location. Don't let it fool you. I would have expected Kristy to be in some upscale Dallas location charging me bookoo bucks for what I received. I was pleasantly surprised and will be a lifer of Kristy from here on out. It has been YEARS since I let another person cut my hair (about 8 years to be exact). I'm of the belief that if THEY screw it up, that I WILL still have to pay for it - so it's just easier to do it myself. Well I had reached a point where I was no longer happy with my tresses & REALLY REALLY REALLY needed some professional hands. I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The atmosphere was very cool and calm ! Everyone seemed to mesh at the salon.The complimentary chair massage while you wait is highly recommened. Aston was my stylist and she was awesome. She started asking me what I wanted done and then gave her professional opinion. She knew what I was looking for and needed for a cut and color to go with my hectic schedule. She was very excited about the outcome as she was applying the color. The end result could not have been better. The owner, Terry, stayed with us until we were done even though it was a little after closing and neither seemed to mind talking with me for a few minutes. The products they used were great and I will be getting some when I need more. I will definately me going again and again to this salon! more

I have always had trouble finding someone to cut my curly hair. It always ended up frizzy. I came in skeptical that there would be a difference but wow! Dawnya did an amazing job and also tought me how to properly fix my hair. I will always go to Salon Purple for my hair needs. more

Salon Purple is a great place for guy's haircuts, too! They make you feel relaxed because they know what they're doing. Jovany took the time to discuss what I wanted and what would bring out the best for me. The results were awesome. Everyone there is friendly and genuinely interested in your hair. OK, I admit it. I had driven by this funky little spot many times on my trek to Fuzzy's, just down the street. I may have even read that they were ""curly hair experts"" a time or two and thought about seeing if they could tame my unruly mane, but alas, it was not until I received a groupon that I actually booked an appointment. I have been going for a couple of years now to Salon Purple, my usual stylist was booked so I said to myself. Anyone there will be phenomenal as they all have the best training ever from Terry, the owner. Aston was my stylist,,,,, WOW, I absolutely love my color and cut. Great job. When getting highlights they dont use bleach and then toner, They use color to achieve your results. What you get is healthy hair, that looks natural. Love It......... more

I was going to an upscale salon in North Dallas prior to switching to Salon Purple three years ago for my color and cut. Salon Purple has Dallas beat for customer service, appointment follow ups, great products, inovative hair styles and color. The team at Salon Purple are top notch in the industry and experts in all aspects of hair. more

After strong suggestions from my wife and daughters that I should update my appearance and loose the gray hair, i reluctanly put this project in Avery's hands. She cut my hair much shorter than I was accustomed to and told me I should no longer part me hair and turned back the clock changing my salt and pepper gray back to a youthful brown. My initial reaction was less than enthusiastic but after several days of friends and neighbors telling my I looked ten years younger i decided that this change had been a good thing. Now i love the look she has given me and It's nice having shake and go hair. Apparently coloring gray hair is a little tricky and she is a magician. more

I had visited Daunya at Salon Purple before to get my hair cut, and returned recently to get my hair colored. I've never put a permanent color in my hair before and was very nervous, but Daunya remained calm and enthusiastic about my color choice...RED! It turned out great! It was exactly what I had pictured and I couldn't have been happier. I've had the color a couple weeks now and it looks as good as it did when I first got it done. I can't wait to sit with Daunya again and be more adventurous with my hair! more

I found Salon Purple by googling curly hair and took a chance. So glad I did. Kristy was fantastic. She listened to my concerns, talked to me about solutions, and then afterwards showed me how to fix my new style. I've done my own style twice now and it is working great. I've had complements on the color and style. And when I had to call for directions to the salon they were very nice and informative. Everyone there was friendly and I felt very comfortable. I am a guy who doesn't really care about style but I really don't like going to get a hair cut and coming home to find multiple places are uneven, uncut, or just completely messed up, especially when I ask for a pretty simple cut, in my opinion. Well Avery, first time, cuts and does a little styling and i couldn't be more impressed. The only other time someone cut my hair perfectly was when I shaved my hair... I hope the best for her and am looking forward to seeing her again. more

Recently had Daunya at Salon Purple suggest and give me a keratin treatment. WOW. My curly hair never looked so unfrizzy! I was afraid it might hurt my curly look, but it only made it better. The cut was perfect, too! She was very competent, courteous, and professional as well. I also witnessed a very happy 7-ish year old leaving her chair and telling her mother she wasn't going to shower that night and ruin her hair for school the next day. THERE's an endorsement!
