She has been doing my hair for 4 years. i love the way she colors and cuts my hair, and even in a new location, she made me feel right at home!! more

I have been getting my haircut at Salon Patine for Years. Anna Casso cuts my hair and she does a superb job. People stop me all the time and tell me that I have great hair. I have referred at least 25 people to Anna, and most remain loyal clients to her. I have curly hair which can be a challange to style, but Anna always manages to give me a up to date, easy to style cut. Pros: Super Hair care and happy environment. more

I have been going to Victoria since 2001. I had many bad haircut experiences before, in this town especially, so finding her was like finding a hidden treasure in the jungle. I never even give her instructions, I just tell her ""do what you think will look good, I trust you"", and she has never disappointed me once. I completely trust her. She will also never try to push products, whenever I ask her ""do you think I need this"", she usually says ""nah, just do this you will be fine"" and she is always right. Asked her if I need highlights recently and she said ""nah you look good the way you are"". A stylist who doesn't try to push their services is hard to find and it makes you feel like they really know what they are doing and they really care about you looking good, not about pushing products or services and making more money. You can ask Victoria anything, from hairstyle advice to ""I have a itchy head what should I do"" advice, and she will always know the answer, including some amazing home remedies. She also did my hair for my wedding and it was these amazing Shirley Temple style curls, never looked so cute before!! Moreover, she is incredibly professional and cheerful and very respectful. Love her sense of humor. Did I mention she is INEXPENSIVE??? Which is amazing considering she has taught haircutting classes and keeps educating herself about new styles and products constantly! This salon was great!! I got exactly what i wanted. EVERYONE that worked there was highly experienced! Great service, and great receptionist!! The salon was very modern and beautiful. I would recommend Sarah V. for color and haircut with rob. They did a great job on my hair! But everyone else is great too. There were kids, young adults , and rich old ladies there :) There hours i believe are from 8:30 to about 7:30 on late day's...Anyways GO THERE! Pros: lots of space Cons: parking more

I went to this salon because of the reviews from this site. I was not dissapointed. It was the best color and cut I have ever received. The staff was courteous and very attentive. There were all ages in the salon from teenagers on up. Every stylist was busy including the manicurist. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is interested in an up to date cut and beautiful color. more

I visited this salon based on the reviews here, but had a very different experience. The salon isn't cutting edge (pardon the pun) -- it's more for the suburban supercut set. I'm middle-aged but was the youngest client in the salon when I visited. The cut I received was nearly identical to a supercut-style cut I got nearly a year ago, when I was in a hurry. I had to have it re-cut for a more geometric, fashionable style. Based on my experience, I'd not recommend this salon to those wanting very stylish, trendy cuts. Being from SF, I've been to my fair share of salons, and I love Salon Patine! It's definitely an incentive for me to make the 5 hour drive from San Francisco. Evey stylist here knows their stuff because the owners, Rob and Sarah, make sure to hire excellent people. If you're not sure what you want, you really should ask for a free 15 min. consultation either on a day before your real appt, or just before your appt on the same day. All the stylists are very knowledgeable, but if you are specifically going in for a cut, ask for a recommendation for a stylist good at cutting short hair, for example. If you want highlights, ask for a color specialist. I'd recommend Sarah, Stephanie, and Larry for color. Marisol is great at cutting hair too, for example. And for such great service, the prices really are very reasonable! more

Kim had been recommended to me by a friend, but I wasn't sure if she could do the type of haircut I need..I spoke to Jolene, the receptionist, and she said Kim would do a free consultation, which really helped me make up my mind! Jolene was very helpful and friendly over the phone, very welcoming, and Kim was great, also very friendly, and took the time to look at my hair and decide what she could do. My haircut won't happen until Aug.9, but I got a very good feeling about the place, the warmth and friendliness, which is very important to me. I received a horrible haircut here, complained about it, and was asked to come in, only to have them make it worse. If you know a specific stylist, sure, come to see that person, but otherwise, avoid this place like the plague. My hair was cut unevenly, dry, and in an unflattering style. more

Salon Patine is amazing. Cindy is great and my hair always looks fantastic... Great color. Everyone is friendly and super fun. You will be very satisfied with everything. more

Last time I had my hair done at Salon Patine, they used some dyes and highlights and did a trim for $160 total but when it faded too soon, I came back and they completely re-did it with different, special dyes FOR FREE and it's stayed perfectly beautiful for three months now and still is. I must insist that their service is very polite, friendly and welcoming. They'll offer you a glass of water or a cup of coffee sometimes! I've NEVER had a bad cut, dye there or bad service in any way. My mother, father, brother, boyfriend and many of my friends all go there frequently and we're all very happy customers. It's a little expensive but it's well worth the security of knowing your hair will always look beautiful and if you have any complaints, they're always willing to make it better in any way they can! this salon was the worst I've been to. Rude and unfriendly. The whole time I was there I felt like I was an intrusion. As far as the haircut and highlights I can get that anywhere in santa barbara without the attitude. more
