Salon Monaco Tampa

I'm not even a Client of this salon, However judging by the way they drive in traffic I would never get my hair done at this place. If your going to put the name of your business on the back of your SUV I suggest that you learn to drive. Whipping in and out of traffic while it's raining in the morning doesn't make people want to come get their hair done at your salon. Had I not had to be at work this morning I would have followed who ever was driving the SUV on the Veterans this morning (at around 9:45) and told them to slow down because whipping in and out of traffic and cutting people off is not a good way to Advertise your business. If your going to drive like a JERK I would take the sign off the back of your SUV.....Whoever was driving cut me off and almost caused two accidents due to their lack of driving skills. more

Had highlights at Salon Monaco yesterday. It looked good on me, I guess, because everyone is complimenting me. Their customer service is good. The stylist who did my hair is paying special attention to all my questions and concern. I am very comfortable while having my highlights treatment. Two thumbs up, Salon Monaco. more

I am one of those girls who want simple hairstyles. I have always worn my hair long. I only go to hair salons in Tampa when I want to trim the ends of my hair. But because I was always tying my hair, I noticed that it has somewhat became wavy at some areas. My friend recommended Salon Monaco’s Keratin Smoothing Treatment. I did not like it but I figured it was worth the try, and indeed, it was! My hair became sleek straight and shiny. I recommend Keratin Smoothing to those girls who had same problems as mine. My wife is a regular at Salon Monaco so I also went to this hair salon when I had a hair color. After all, they have a men’s color service for short hairs like mine. I do not know how to comment on the hair color. I had just blackened my hair. But their customer service is great. Attentive and accommodating staff. Very different from other barber shops or salon for men that I have tried before. Makes you feel welcome. Now I understand why my wife loves it here. more

My then-boyfriend-now-husband and I decided to tie the knots last week. We had a garden wedding at my sister’s place in Tampa since my family is based here and I also grew up here. It has been long since I last came to Tampa because I was now based in Canada working as a nurse (that’s where I met my husband). Because the holiday season is all about partying, my best friend and I decided to change the color of our hair. She has been a regular at Salon Monaco but it was my first time since I am really not going to salons regularly. The reason is that I do not like people asking me what I want to do with my hair because I really don’t know! With Salon Monaco, however, I need not speak out a detailed picture of what I want to do with my hair. I just said I wanted to have a new hair color and the stylist assigned to me made me choose among a three or five colors which will look best on me. When I asked her which one will look best on me, she already had the answer and explanation. I go to Salon Monaco twice a month for waxing and a much needed manicure and pedicure treatment. I go there mostly for the service and the staff. They have a very relaxing place of business and their prices are well within the budget of anyone. They use high quality waxing products. None of the generic kind. I also recommend their Keratin hair treatment service. It does wonders for damaged and dry hair. Tampa weather can be brutal in the summer. I have one once a month since I have dyed hair. They are open all week except for Sundays. I highly recommend them. more

Only after getting a truly atrocious cut at a well-reviewed Hair salon in tampa, do I realize what I've found here. So what if the cut took sort of longer than I expected, or that the stylist didn't completely explain what she was going to do before starting. The product was amazing. I went to Salon Monaco in September, after a brutal hair butcher cut off nearly half of my hair, utterly miserable and convinced there was no way to fix that mess up. Well, somehow, it was fixed. I think the process showed true talent and imagination. The reason the cut took a bit longer was because the stylist would stop after every few snips, in the beginning, to look at where she was going. The style I left with was the most flattering my hair has ever been. Best Haircut place in tampa hands down. Already booked my next appointment for hair color and the new keratin treatment they offer. more

I've been hopping around trying to find a stylist and a Hair Salon in tampa that won't make me miserable for the next three months, and i think I've found it. Ty was super attentive to how i described the quirks of my hair, what i specifically didn't and did want out of my cut without having a definite idea of what i wanted. She soaked it all up and returned with a few haircut ideas. I approved one and she went at it. Now, I've never been a fan of short cuts because my facial structure is round. I didn't want to look like a tennis ball face. However, after she explained every little detail of what she was going to perform, i felt reassured that this was a joint effort and not just her chopping my hair off. There were no surprises, except for how ridiculously pleased i was. i ended up with a cute chin length bob that didn't round my face. It's a versatile style with no fuss that can go upscale or casual with a little styling putty.The Price was definitely worth it, only $40 for the Haircut including the wash and blowdry. OMG , great customer service and beautiful place. I've been completely wowed and will definitely return to Salon Monaco more

Hello, My name is Kathy and about a week ago I got my hair done at Monaco, AND I couldn’t be HAPPIER, Victoria was my stylist and she is amazing, She listened to what I wanted and helped me understand my hair better, She gave me wonderful color, and the hair cut she gave me is the best I’ve ever had. I have very heavy hair that does nothing and she cut it so now I feel like I have a hair style.she blow dried my hair so well she even, showed me how to style my hair. She showed me how to hold the blow dryer and work with a brush so I could learn how to style my hair at home. I’ve never had a stylist before walk me thru how to style my hair and it was my favorite part of my visit. The salon itself is beautiful, the staff was so nice and I felt so welcome, everyone said hello to me and made me feel so comfortable. I’m loving my hair, and I’m so happy I have a new stylist I trust to do my hair the way I want. more

The first time I visited Salon Monaco I remember that after my hair was styled, I felt happiness that I never felt before after having my color done. Best hair extensions as everybody says: the world's best hair extensions!. Krista clearly told me, once you wear them you will not be able to survive without them! And it is absolutely the true, it has been already two years since I have been going to Krista and I hate when I have to remove them for services..When I walked into Salon Monaco a year ago in South Tampa the staff was incredibly nice and the place is very cozy. Also one thing I really aprreciated is that Krista (also the owner) had her own private room. This place is really the best not only for hair extensions but also for color and haircuts. Best Salon in tampa hands down. Oh and by the way, Krista was right, I cannot survive without them! more

I'm a business woman. I travel very often therefore I need the style that looks professional and also does not take lot of time to style. I went to many salons and I tried some of the well known stylists in town. Unfortunately, I still did not have the hair style that i desired. My friend comes to Salon Monaco and she recommended Victoria. I hesitated to come at first. After seeing my friend's last haircut, I decided to go for Victoria. She's very friendly and professional. After telling her my needs and frustrations, she seemed to understand my situation. Then She smiled and got me ready. I just sat on the chair and let's her do the work. After one hour, She said, " This is THE hair style that i design for your need." I was stunt and "WOW" was the only word that i could start with. I love the style. It was so me. I LOVED my hair. I went out for dinner that night, all I heard were the compliments of how good my hair was and how it fit me well. Then I thought to myself," I've found the hairstylist that i have longed for quite sometimes". I'll definitely be back to have my haircut and color done with Victoria from now on because she has my TRUST. I first discovered Salon Monaco when I opened my own business in South Tampa. I had my consultation and I could quickly tell that my new Hair Stylist Ty was very good at what she does by her appareance and the way she spoke about the different services (Highlights, haircut, Keratin treatments, etc) I was so happy with the results, and I think we all know how hard it is to leave a stylist, its like breaking up with a friend so going to a new stylist was not an easy thing to do. Ty however made the transition so smooth. She really listened to what i wanted, offered her own suggestions without being pushy and the results were beyond my expectations. I have been going to Ty ever since and not only do I love the restults I get from her, but I love the atmosphere and friendly staff there as well. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. I found Claire last year when I was looking for someone to do my hair for my wedding day. I was so thrilled to find a person with great talent and patience who knew exactly what I was looking for. I knew the first day I met her that she was the right hairstylist for me. She is really good at updos. The salon has a very laidback, friendly atmosphere. I never have to wait long and I know I get the utmost attention when I'm there. There's never any frantic running around or juggling of several clients at once. When you go there, you know you're #1 and that was most important to me. Any brides out there looking for a gorgeous classic updo or just a new cut and color/highlights, this place is for you! Just came to Salon Monaco and I must say I'm speechless. I love my new look. I went because of all the great reviews I read on google. I have very thick hair and unmanageable. I wanted a new look but I didn't know what would look good for me. Victoria helped pick the perfect cut and color for my hair and I must say I love it. I look so different than when I entered the salon. They also made me feel welcome and they made sure that I was comfortable and offered me Wine, water and gourmet coffee. Which was very nice. I guess I found my stylist and will be back there again for my touch ups, highlights and haircut. I recommend this place a million times. more
