Favorite salon so far 10/25/2009

I have been a client at Salon Ciao Bella for a few years now. Prior to Melissa, I had a few stylists that couldn't quite do what I was hoping for. Melissa has been great! I couldn't ask for a better stylist. I have even had some of the other girls work on my hair, which is very finicky hair. If I want to try something new Melissa will let me know if she thinks it will or will not work. She is the first stylist who wants to discuss before just doing what I think will work. I completely trust her with my hair and I will continue to go back time and again. I even have my step-mom going to her now. :o) I love Salon Ciao Bella! Pros: love the environment and team more

Response to"Goddess41" 9/11/2009

I am not tring to be in anyway katey, but on the other hand truth be told on viewers who have the right to express real experiences. Not everyone is an angry employee,i believe they to have moved on which have been many regardless of separation I on the other hand do not care. Its the quality of ending results.Which I as a victim of this dreadful place of business of so called beauty salon and spa have had the same ending results of many disasters reviews which Iam sure have been removed Im sure by salon.Unable to take constructive criticism.Takes a real business owner to respond or make right what the so called leading stylist/colorist messed up or cover all her lies.I work with the reviewer from twinpeaks who I warned not to go.As far as the other89 reviews honey dont be so foolish they write themselves or get their family members to write them keeping only the ones that covers up the real truth, which Im sure this will soon be removed. You said your response to internal beauty, you must not rely on outer beauty to much after all that is why we go to a salon to be beautiful on the outside.Sorry we beautiful people rely on that and not to sound vain but we are in a industry were being beautiful counts. When you go into this salon you expect to come out looking better not worse. One more thing we all wish we could find or connect to the former employee you are speaking about but we all knew she never belonged there. She in my experience is an artist and with way to much to offer here.As to all the many others who have left here I understand why?Look at whats left and then you will understand.Everyone is entitled to express what they feel just as you have.If I help prevent this happening to another beautiful woman then I will keep the word out.So keep writing your own reviews you can only cover up for so long!! Pros: got many glasses of wine free Cons: expensive to correct their mistakes more

Exemplary services 9/10/2009

I've been going to Salon Ciao Bella for over a year and have always experienced caring and professional treatment of my nails, facials and body wraps. Everyone seems happy to be there and anxious to make their clients as comfortable and satisfied as possible. I always feel as good inside as I do outside when I'm there. It's great to know that a beauty appointment will leave you lookin' good and feelin' great. Thanks, Ciao Bella and keep it up! Pros: Exemplary services more

Relax and Indulge 8/9/2009

I love Salon Ciao Bella & Day Spa. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my hair cut. More importantly, I wouldn't go anywhere else in town to get a massage. Patricia Amaro is the BEST. Getting a massage from Patricia is very addicting -- you can't get just one! I have recommended several friends and family members to Patricia and they all love her. All I can say is, thank goodness for Patricia!!!!! Pros: Best Spa in Town Cons: There aren't any cons more

Who voted this place the best and why? 7/14/2009

I would love to see the people who voted this place anything but horrible!from the facial who by the way could use some beauty tips from me, to the massage.Lets start off with by explaining I am a woman of beauty, lets face it ladies we all want to be beautiful in some way or the other. So i pay alot of money to maintain what I got as in the older I get the harder is isIts not easy getting older.Moving on I have been here before and was very pleased with my stylist who disappeared which if I must say many do. I am a blonde by the magic of color and I expect nothing but perfection and honest information, this is just how I make a living your playing with.I know it sounds alittle vain but truth be told beauty sells.I loved my hair, past tense,The girl before which I do not recall her name not because I forgot I just simply knew her as the ONLY PRETTY one there,Hispanic I think with the most amazing personality and great sense of style. You can tell the others are what I call mommy looking but in the worst way.In other words could use a makeover.I have read from other reviews on melissa and boy was I l hesitant,I should have went with my gut feeling cause I am paying for it now.I have now missed 2 weeks of work due to hair and facial. My hair is fried and falling out and my face had a reaction to whatever they used .I have now had to go to a docter to get my face from what the owner says an allergic reaction.NOT,its the quality of what you use and the so called facialist!I am now so ugly and now at the mercy of healing in time.As for the massage lets just say I am still hurting from it and it has been 2 weeks.I havent been able to go gym or for that in public.I am now out ALOT of money and time and would hate to see someone other prettty girl who works hard at it go through anything like this.BEWARE Pros: shampoo Cons: everything else more

I trust my hair to Ciao Bella 6/15/2009

It's been a very long time since I've been loyal to one salon and one stylist. Salon Ciao Bella turned that around. I went in with hair below my shoulders and requested a very, very short cut. I took a few photos and explained exactly what I wanted. I walked out with the best cut I've had in years. I’ve been to salons all over Austin and Round Rock and have settled with Ciao Bella. From the incredible neck message to the always terrific looking hair – I’m sold 100 times over. Pros: Great hair; great prices more

not such a good experience 4/20/2009

I went to Ciao Bellas once, and will never be back. I was going on vacation to Florida, and I wanted my hair to look nice for the trip. My mistake was trying a new salon at this time. I had just moved to the city and was going to have to try a new salon inevitably, though. My first impression was great. The interior was adorable, the stylist was friendly and professional...but throughout the haircut..she just kept cutting and cutting! I had pretty short hair (a layered bob), but i requested she only cut it chin length. When i left it was much shorter, but i thought if i played around with it, id like it more. Well, the lighting must be terrible in there because when i got to my car, i noticed in my car mirror that it was extremely lop-sided! I turned around and went back in and asked the receptionist if she noticed that my hair was very lop-sided..Her eyes got huge and her lip turned up when she looked at my hair, and she immediately got the stylist. Even though the receptionist noticed, the stylist had no clue what we were talking about, like it wasnt extremely obvious. One side was about an inch or more longer than the other side...it was madness. I had her attempt to fix it, but she insisted there was nothing wrong with it, so i gave up and left. I had it fixed, but there was only so much i could do because she completely wrecked my cute bob. Im not terrified of trying new salons now. Pros: They have a darling interior. Cons: But my hair looked hidious when i left. more

Ciao Bella is a really great salon! 2/9/2009

This is a great salon and I am very happy I found it. Melissa has done an awesome job with my hair! It looks great and even feels much healthier. The customer service is great and I always enjoy the Head/Neck massage they give when they wash your hair. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for the level of service you get. I used to go to Halina?s European Day Spa and, let me tell you, I would pick Melissa over the stylist I had at Halina?s any day! I am definitely looking forward to my next appointment with her! I also get my eyebrows done here and everyone that I have had did a good job. I have not had a chance to try any of their other services yet, but I am definitely planning on it. I would recommend this place for sure! Pros: Great service, reasonable prices Cons: none more

Awesome Salon! I'd drive back to Round Rock for this Salon even if I lived in South Austin! 12/9/2008

I've been going to this salon since it opened and have been a customer of Tiffany's since before she opened Salon Ciao Bella. I'm a "no fuss" kind of girl, but my hair has to be done right! And, Tiffany has never let me down. I know that if there was ever something I needed to discuss with her, the lines of communication would be wide open because she is very attentive to her customers. She does what I want, not what she thinks would look good on me (unless I ask for her opinion). I trust her completely! Also, I've just recently started to use their spa services. Patricia gives awesome massages! Give her a try, and you'll see what I mean! We all need a little stress relief in this stressful world today. She is very down to earth and made me feel at ease right from the start. I've taken advantage of their 6-massage package deal, and I go every weekend. I'm getting to know them really well. The staff is really friendly and always calls to remind me of my appointments (which is really helpful). I've even tried one of their spa packages with the pedicure, manicure, massage, and lunch included. It was such a treat! They'll have a hard time getting rid of me! Thanks so much guys!!! Pros: Knowledgeable & Friendly Staff, Comfortable Atmosphere, Local, Comparable Prices Cons: None more

Great mens cut and Massage therapist 11/16/2008

I came here because my wife forced me to and got my hair cut by amanda. I am particular about my hair -being ex military- and can not find anyone out here who knows what they are doing but when I went to amanda she was able to get my hair just right. They used this peppermint conditioner that i had to buy I know its kind of silly to buy purology when im a guy but i had to have it. I loved the neck massage they do when you are getting your hair washed and I love the spa lounge. The couches are so comfortable you can just fall asleep which i do sometimes. I have also seen the new massage therapist there Patricia and she is amazing. She is so little but boy can she get in there I was suprised at how she worked out all my knots. I have always avoided massage because the few ive had always felt like a lotion rub but after leaving her table you feel refreshed and like a new man. So I recommend this place to any man or woman who is looking for a new place. Pros: Head Massage and experienced staff Cons: Its a girls world more

This place is amazing!!!!! 11/16/2008

I absolutly love this place and cant believe the last few reviews mainly because i know they are flat out lies. but i have seen all the girls there for one reason or another. I mainly see amanda she is so sweet and goofy you cant help but love her you can tell that she does her job because she loves it and all she wants to do is give you something you love. I know she is reletivly new to the hair scene but you could never tell she is better than some stylists ive seen who have been doing hair for 20 yrs. I have sent a few of my friends to her one of which is the most difficult gal in the world and is never happy with anything but when amanda cuts it she loves it. I have also sent friends to melissa because she has done amazing things with my hair as well. You should have seen my friend who came in with butchered hair from a girl in austin melissa worked miracles and it looks fabulous now. I have only seen tiffany once but she was sweet and professional the lady who said she felt ignored must have insecurtiy issues becuase i felt taken care of. I dont expect her to stand over me as my hair is processing thats unrealistic. As far as some of those other reviews that are so obviously meant to slander and hurt i can tell you for a fact they are lies. The lady who said melissa was unexperienced and has only been doing hair for only 2 yrs has got to be joking... shes been doing hair for 2x that long and has (as i said before) worked miracles. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the hateful things are obviously written to hurt and destroy (which makes me think it was written by some of the girls who have been fired recently) are silly and need to be taken with a grain of salt. as for the other girls in the salon i have seen Regina who is wonderful as well as cynthia. And the massage therapist patricia is one of a kind. all in all I RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AND I LOVE IT HERE AND WILL NEVER LEAVE. Pros: Everything is wonderful Cons: need more space more

Fantastic!! 11/14/2008

I've been going to Tiffany for years; she is the only one that can cut my super curly hair. Her new salon is fantastic as well as the staff and service. I just love it! angela Pros: experienced Cons: book early cuz they're busy more

I miss Stephanie too!! 11/13/2008

I spent years searching for the perfect hair stylist and I finally found Stephanie! And, now she is gone and there is no forwarding information. If anyone gets a hold of her can you please post her new salon information! Please!! Thanks! more

Best stylist and colorist in the world!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/5/2008

First of all I have been a loyal client of stephanie for years and she has always perfected my color/highlights and cut!So dont believe everything you read, some people are just not worth it and are just so unhappy with themselves that they say such lies, if stephanie could not give you what you wanted than no one can.Being so mean does nothing but show a reflection of what you feel inside of you.So stephanie you are the best and thank you for all that you are.You are Awesome and no one styles and colors my hair the way you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

First Time HIGHLIGHTS!!!! 11/4/2008

I told Melissa I wanted to grow my hair out, but I was afraid of the "in between stages". She told me, "don't be afraid, I will help you transition". FInally I called and told her I was ready. We started the transition phase with some highlights!!!!! I LOVE MY HAIR!!!! She did an absolutely phenominal job. I know it will take a while for my hair to grow the length I want, but if the stages of transition are anything like this, I can hardly wait. I will keep ya'll posted. Pros: So kind Cons: cannot think of even one more

Unbelieveable! 11/3/2008

I am still in shock. I read the reviews and thought ok, sounds good. But I think these reviews are written by the employees hoping to keep the business open b/c I got the worse haircut of my life!! They recommended Stephanie. She had an opening that day. (Hmm....most reputable stylists are booked.) That should have been my first clue. I gave it a shot which was a big mistake. I have to go somewhere else now to correct it. My cut is a disaster. I could have had my 5 yr old do a better job! more

Salon Ciao Bella is The best salon ive ever been to! And ive been to a lot! 10/8/2008

Dude! this place is soo awesome! Ive been going to Salon Ciao Bella for half a year, and this place is in a whole other league; it's not some dinky ol' cheap cuts place. Not only is the place pleasant to look at, but it also has some of the best service ive ever received at a hair salon. When they wash your hair, they MASSAGE you at the same time! You know how leaning back in that chair always hurts your neck? Well, dear friends, they know you pain, and they give you a very soothing neck massage as they apply the shampoo and conditioner. I remember my first time i was so suprised by the neck massage, i almost melted into the chair and sink! What i enjoyed most about the place, is that the stylists themselves, have style! they all have unique personalities, which makes for fun and interesting conversations. They always keep you talking, and it can be about any old thing; they make you feel comfortable to be there. And when your done, of course, you look amazing! Also, it's kind of refreshing to know that the stylists have that teenage flare, that tells you you can trust them. It helps teens really relate to them; and im glad that i can talk to my stylist, melissa, as an equal. And thats not all they do! they have their own little shop in the front where you wait, and they also do nails, massage, waxing (with natural wax that doesnt hurt like crazy! How long have we been waiting for such a thing?!), and some more im sure i cant recall. So if you happen to be passing through round rock, and happen to need a trim, a new style, or an all out makeover; Salon Ciao Bella has enough style for everybody! Pros: STYLE!, kindness, proffessional, relaxing, unique Cons: no such thing as a con for SCB more

Salon Ciao Bella is fabulous! 10/8/2008

I had the most incredible hour and a half massage at Salon Ciao Bella last week! The therapist was friendly and wonderful!! The bed was comfortable with a heating blanket, the music was relaxing and I got to pick a scented oil. It was a wonderful experience!! I also has had my hair done today and was waxed by Melissa...she did a fabulous job! I am truely going to miss this salon when I move, I love everything about it! Pros: Where do I start?!? Cons: none more

Ciao Bella is like family! 10/8/2008

I have been in Austin for almost 2 years and have been desperately searching for someone to style my hair. Last April, I had a complete disaster on my head - seriously, the worst haircut I could ever imagine. I tried several other places (mostly expensive) to fix my hair and no one could help me. Then, I found Ciao Bella and Melissa. What a wonderful salon and hair stylist. I was so nervous going in and those feelings were quickly put to rest. Melissa and Tiffany both looked at my hair and talked me through what they thought the best options were for my situation. So, off I went to the shampoo chair for the most fabulous head and neck massage (mommies, this is a MUST!) and it's part of thier service! Back to the chair, where Melissa took her time, walked me through each change she made and showed me several styling options for any occasion. She even threw in a cute clip! My husband was so impressed with the transformation, he has started seeing Melissa as well. I have been back and I am happy to say each cut has been marvelous and we can finally see the light at the end of this hair wreck! :) The other thing I like is there is NO pressure to purchase product or upgrade you to color, highlights, etc. If you want those items, they are willing to talk to you about options and what is best for you. Melissa has been a delightful person to work with and I look forward to seeing everyone when I go get my haircut - they have become like family. Just happy to see you and visit with you for a while! Please check Salon Ciao Bella out - you will be pleasantly surprised! Pros: People, price, style and service Cons: Don't know of one - I make my appts early in the a.m. so parking is not an issue more

Most amazing feeling! 10/6/2008

Okay, so I read the reveiws, and decided instead of driving to downtown Austin I would try Salon Ciao Bella out. I not only love my hair, ITS BETTER then my more expensive cuts I got downtown. WOW, and they impress you from the first moment. Melissa cut my hair, and she talked to me, made me feel good and I was not one bit nervous. My hair is just awesome. Truely I just dry it and go. Parking is a pain though. They are busy, so call early. This salon does not disappoint. I love the fact that I found some new sisters in Christ as well. :) Pros: Loved it, can't narrow it down to one thing. Cons: parking and the wait more
