Terrific Experience! 5/12/2011

Just moved from San Luis Obispo to Bay Area and wanted to find an Aveda Salon and stylist. Boy, did I score! Chelsea had great ideas about how to shape and style my cut and Emma did a wonderful job shaping my brows. My old salon provided a brief head and neck massage before washing my hair, but Chelsea provided a more thorough one AND cleaned my rings while she massaged my hands and arms!! Plus, I signed up for the program that gives you points when you buy product so I can win a free service or spa day. I am SO happy to find Salon Amour and Chelsea!!! Highly recommend the salon, their personnel, and their services. more

An excellent experience 5/10/2011

I highly recommend Amanda at Salon Amour. She is very pleasant, is interested in pleasing her client. She is thorough and very professional and gives you her whole attention. I have had her color my hair. The hand and head massage is also wonderful. more

Bummer 5/7/2011

First time i went there it was so fantastic that I could not wait to get back. Salon is great and I fully support the owner and her mission to involve herself and her salon in the community. The stylist I had recently was twice the price of the last stylist and far inferior in her massage techniques. She was nice, but needs training in the Aveda massage. more

This was my 1st time out to this salon and found them to be very professional and honest. I love Aveda and have been a long time consumer of their products/life style so I was quite pleased to find this place when I moved to Walnut Creek. It was everything that I could have hoped for! Looking forward to building the relationship with these fine folks. more

The woman who cut my hair today, Chelsea, was so competent and thorough--really listened to me about what I wanted done and did her absolute best to work with my difficult thin hair! And if this wasn't enough, she also gave me the most wonderful head and neck massage--it was heavenly. more

massage experience 5/5/2011

Experience was fantastic! As a former client for hairdressing services..now need to go closer to my home..decided to treat myself to massage. Relaxing and effective and I felt like I was not rushed, which is important. The only negative was when checking in, the client who was paying for services and follow up appt. spent at least 10 min. flipping through her calender to schedule an appt. as if I wasn't there! Very rude on her part! No issues with staff..very accomodating, pleasant, and professional. more

Review of experience 5/5/2011

I have never been disappointed with my experience at Salonamour. I have seen many of the stylists over the years and have also felt that I was in good hands. My daughter is also a fan and customer of the shop. Of course, we have our favorite stylists, but everyone is very good. When I am unable to make an appointment with my preferred stylists, I always know that I will get excellent care with anyone in the shop. more

Susan is always fantastic. I came to SA after 20 years with same hairdresser. I had a lot of concerns. If only I had discovered SA years ago. I have never been happier with my hair. It has style and texture I never thought possible. It is a wonderful restful place where they practice real magic. more

My first visit was excellent. I visited Amanda and she did a wonderful color and cut. She listened to what I wanted and she did exactly what I wanted. I am now a client. The salon was charming and everyone there was incredibly kind and warm. Kudos to this salon more

Hair color & cut 4/28/2011

My experience is always pleasurable. However, the time before, I had highlights put in and it was WAY to much color! Instead of calling and having it dealt with immediately, I waited till this apt. I explained that I wasn't happy with all of the blonde and she said she could tone it down @ my cost? I felt like she should have done this at NO charge since, I had expressed that I didn't want to be a blonde. I had to wear my hair pulled back for the entire month. Nevertheless, it it always a pleasure to be in the salon. I have told many friends about the place and the little extras that come along with the package. Thanks you, Minay Bowers more

I've been seeing Ruth now for nearly 2 years. Her expertise and training coupled with Aveda amazing nearly all natural products have my hair looking better and feeling better than it has in years! Having colored my naturally curly (therefore tendency to dry already) hair since I was just 12 to cover premature gray, it has definitely seen it's "over processed" days. Not the case with Aveda products. SalonAmour is a wonderfully comfortable salon WITH parking in Walnut Creek. What more can you ask for?! Ruth you will be sorely missed, and I wish you the very best in your next chapter ;-) more
