I am new to Rochester and desperately needed a cut, my first in a long time. Kayla is fantastic and really wanted to understand how I felt about my hair, what I was looking for, and what I needed. She also introduced me to Deva Curl and the Curly Girl Method which are both fantastic and have changed my hair for the better! My cut is great and I will definitely go back. more

Fall in love with your hair all over again at Salon 113! Philip is a true professional who is attentive and meticulous from beginning to end. I was having a difficult time taming and embracing my curls and Philip introduced me to the Deva Curl ""life"" and I couldn't be happier. How could a handful of products and simple techniques turn your life around? Girls with curls, you know what I'm talking about!!\r Do yourself a favor and give Philip or Jordan a call! Salon 113 feels like home 5/16/2012

I recently found one of the most amazing stylists I've ever been to. Jordan Betts at Salon 113 embodies what it means to be a great stylist. She's inspirational, informative, and truly cares about how YOU look about how you feel, not how she feels you should look. Phillip, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly, and after going there just one time, I would never even think about going anywhere else. If you're in any way self-conscious about your hair, Jordan is the one for you. more

Great find!!!!!!!! 5/7/2012

Although it can be busy (as I usually have to book in advance with my favorites), the staff is always friendly and courteous and do their very best to accommodate my crazy schedule. I most frequently see Philip for my hair. He is meticulous, pleasant and knowledgeable. The environment is welcoming and comfortable. I always leave this salon in a better mood than when I arrived. more

A Salon that Listens! 2/26/2012

Salon 113 is a cozy place that exudes sophistication and comfort. The hair dressers make you feel at home with tea or coffee and really take the time to listen to what you want without pressure. Philip is my hair dresser and everytime I see him it's like seeing an old friend. He is dedicated to making sure you look great and is one of the most creative and outstanding cut and colorists I have ever had. If you don't know what you want, he is great at offering suggestions without requirement to agree. I will dread the day I move from Rochester, Salon 113 and it's stylists is will remain the absolute BEST Salon I have ever been to. more

Couldnt be more satisfied!!! 2/19/2012

This was my first time visiting salon 113, and definatly wont be my last. Phillip, my stylist, couldnt of made me happier. My hair has been dyed multiple times with multiple colors and to say the least was an absolute disaster. As I said, Phillip went above and beyond and exceeded my expectation with the coloring that he did, what he was able to do to fix the damage i had done was unbelievable!!! The finishing touch was the cut, which was just icing on the cake! He made my hair look amazing again which i didnt think would be possible for a long time!!! Phillip is a master at his art!! Never again will I go anywhere else !! more

Great place. 2/13/2012

I went to salon 113 for a cut on a friends recommendation. Great job. My cut was exactly what I asked for. I've been going for a while now and have never been disappointed. The salon has a great look, the staff is all very friendly and professional. I would definately recommend this salon to everyone. more

Wonderful! 2/2/2012

As a first time customer I was very impressed. I was greated immediately and offered a beverage. Everyone was extremely friendly and my stylist Philip gave me a very thorough consultation to find out exactly what I wanted. I ended up with a great hair cut and had great conversation in the process. I would highly recommend this salon and I'll definitely be going back. more

Best Salon in Rochester 12/23/2011

Absolutely the best salon I have ever visitied. Philip took the time to give me his thoughts on my hair type and existing cut and listened to my ideas. At no time did I feel pressured into a style suggestion. When he was finished he had given me a great cut with options for styling. Philip is a genus! The salon is frendly, modern and comforatble. more

Beautiful, Friendly Salon! 11/10/2011

I never liked getting my hair cut, but thanks to Phillip and Salon 113 I look forward to it now! The first time I saw Phillip, he actually took the time to talk to me and come up with a haircut that suits me and is really fun and original. He's great at what he does, and is a super friendly and awesome person! I was a little nervous about going to a salon on Park Ave., since it does seem to be a pretty high traffic area, but I've never had a problem finding close parking. The salon itself is beautiful, and all of the staff are really friendly and helpful! It totally makes my week to go in there and see happy people doing things to make other people happy too! more

The Search is Over 10/31/2011

Do yourself a favor and go see Phillip at Salon 113! I spent several years looking for a stylist, bouncing around from one bad experience to the next. Finally a friend referred me to Phillip at Salon 113 and I can say that without a doubt, I'll never go anywhere else again. This was literally the first time I've ever had a truly good experience and now I go to see him every 3-4 weeks without fail. Not only is Phillip professional, he's also personable, friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgable. The Salon also has a nice warm very clean atmosphere. My search for a stylist is finally over, if you're searching for someone who knows exactly what to do with your hair (regardless of your hair type), go see Phillip at Salon 113, it'll be the smartest move you ever make. I always leave smiling... 10/22/2011

I have followed my favorite stylist, Phillip, since he started his styling career and I have never changed stylists, with good reason. Phillip is very talented and passionate. He takes the time to get to know his clients so that they walk out with the exact style they want, even if they didn't know it! I cannot tell you how many times I've walked into my appointment and have told Phillip I had no plan, and he's always come up with a style I love! He's personable and always makes me feel comfortable. A perfect stylist for any age, as I've seen him create beautiful styles for many of his clients. I highly recommend Phillip (the other stylists at the salon are friendly and talented as well!). The salon itself is cozy, clean, and located in the very cute Park Ave area. Parking can be difficult at times, but it's worth the trouble for a fabulous cut! A taste of luxury in a sometimes dreary city. more

LOVE Salon 113 10/18/2011

My first appointment at Salon 113 was amazing! The facility is clean and the people are welcoming. My hair stylist, Phil, not only listened to what I wanted but he also was attentive to what worked best for my hair. I honestly do not think I have loved a haircut this much - Phil has a talent and passion for his work that translates into excellent results and great customer service! I don't know why I have not come sooner :) more

Yes!! I finally found a stylist who knows exactly what I want and what will look good for me!\r \r On my first visit to Philip, he understood exactly what I wanted for my hair cut and was able to help me with a great new idea for color! His knowledge of color and style makes me feel so confident every time I go to the salon. He gives me great tips on how to care for my hair and get better results on my own styling. To top it all off, Philip's friendly personality will make you feel warm and at home the minute you walk in the door! I couldn't ask for a better salon experience. Love him!! more

Love it! :) 9/5/2011

I have been getting my hair cut by Jan for about 5 years now, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Even though my hair is short and a relatively simple cut, I never feel like she's in a hurry or like I've been squeezed in between appointments for people whose 'dos take longer. Unlike almost everywhere else I have gone in the past, too - I NEVER find myself going home that night and having to get out my scissors to correct little stray strands that got missed! more

Philip is the best out there. Between the great haircuts and the genuine conversations, I don't think I can ever get a haircut from anyone else. He knows his stuff. I used to hate getting haircuts...usually they have to grow on me. But with Philip, I'm never disappointed. Philip is such a sweetheart, and a trustworthy stylist. Thank you so much Philip! more

Found a stylist! 8/3/2011

Philip is the only person I've been to in the past 5 years that actually makes me want to come back! He took the time to talk to about what I wanted, what I liked what I didn't like, and was completely genuine! I felt like he cared about giving me a great haircut that works for me and not just about earning money and moving on with his day. Philip kept the conversation going and it was just an overall excellent experience. I haven't had a stylist in nearly 5 years but I actually made another appointment before I left because I was so happy with Philip and my experience. Salon 113 is full of great, caring stylists and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great haircut, and overall wonderful experience! more

Genuine 5/19/2011

Phillip really listened to what i had envisioned with my hair. He also took the time to speak with my mother as she was waiting, being just as courteous to her as he was to me! Both him and the other stylist were charming and polite. Meeting a hairstylist for the first time is always nerve wrecking on so many levels...Phillip eagerly engaged in conversation and thus created laughter instead of awkward silence. When i went to work on Monday morning, everyone had nothing but praise for my beautiful highlights. He even offered to cut my two year old's hair, fully knowing i would be the type of mom to stare at every clip! It was such a relief to feel so comfortable and welcomed. I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone...thank you Phillip! more

Fantastic 5/15/2011

I second everything said by APott15 below! Before I met Philip, I had never been loyal to any one hair stylist because no one had ever seemed to cut my unruly (thick and kinda wavy, kinda frizzy) hair well enough for me to feel it was worthwhile to go back. I've now been going to Philip for my haircuts without fail for three years and counting- he does an amazing job every time, and my hair ends up looking great with very little day-to-day effort on my part! I always look forward to seeing Philip, both for the haircut and the company. He's extremely professional, while also charming and engaging. To boot, Salon 113 has a stylish, chic ambiance and is easy to find on the corner of Park Ave and Meigs. I can't recommend this place enough, definitely check it out! more
