Saladelia Cafe

Saladelia makes the good fresh everyday and I love coming there in the morning for a hearty breakfast of eggs and some coffee in the evening it is a place I take my friends to have a cup of wine and chat about our week. This is a great place to eat. Thumbs up more

I have patronized Saladelia's for at least 2 years now and have found the staff to be attentive and friendly, always. I was first introduced to their cuisine through catered events at my place of employment. I then began ordering certain items for our graduation events. I absolutely love their rheuben sandwiches and the bowtie feta pasta. I have no idea where the tea is made, but it is the best -- sweetened and unsweetened! more

I can tell you there is a reson the food looks old, cause it is. Saladelia pre makes all of there food and and most of it sits for days if not a week before it is tossed out ( if they toss it out). They also do a high volume of catering in a kitchen that is to small they buckets of food just sitting on the floor. If you enjoy premade, week old food eat a salidelia. Today was my first and positively last trip to Saladelia Cafe. A coworker and I went for lunch and both of us ordered an apparently mis-marked ""Garden Salad"" from behind the counter. Naturally, we were both surprised when something appearing totally different came to our table. Hers was plain and had some unsavory looking chicken salad (not the just chicken as quoted in the menu description) all over it, and mine had claimed to be ""grilled/roasted chicken"" on it, but it appeared more likely boiled days in advance and kept in the fridge until ordered. It was very cold - full on arctic! Both salads were insanely small in portion considering the $6+ price. A dollar menu side salad from Wendy's would have blown that sorry salad away! Both of us took our orders back and got something different. When I asked about the price difference I was treated very rudely and unnecessary comments were made. When my order and change were finally slammed (LITERALLY SLAMMED!) on my table without any word or explanation from the manager some 15 or more minutes later, I worried over what ""special ingredients"" I would be ingesting. My coworker was shocked at the poor customer service and outright disrespectful nature of the situation. She doubts she would ever return either. Other coworkers hearing of our experience no longer desire to ""try it out"" either. They said they would have done much more than deal with the treatment; they said most definitely full refund and dining somewhere else was called for. I agree, and regret that I didn't do just that. Today was the second time I've been to Saladelia. The first time was for dinner during the middle of the week and it wasn't too crowded, just a bunch of Scrabble players. This time I went for lunch and the place was packed. Both times I've had the Greek gyro and have been very happy. The food is great, if not a little a little too expensive for sandwiches. Fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend it. Pros: Great food! Cons: A little expensive for this type of food more

All of their catered food tastes the same. Especially the cold salads and wraps. I work at Duke and we're tired of their catering menu. The pharmacy reps order from this place because its cheap, but the quality of the food is just average. The restaurant also has food in the gift shops here. There's no escaping the Same Ole, Same Ole...... Pros: It's free catered food..... Cons: It's tasteless and boring....... more

We eat at Saladelia fairly frequently. Located in the strip mall behind Sams Club at South Square, the Saladelia has been around for a long time. They are always packed but the flow moving. Their sandwiches and soups are all great, and the Lebanese Deli food is great too. Salmon, Quesadillas, Soups, Pastas, Fruits, Souvlakis, Reuben, Chicken Salad...these are jsut some of theings you can count being fresh and served quickly. I have long since wanted to try this place as a close friend who goes once a week had raved forever about the food and service. And now I know why! I had AWESOME food and service!!! The chicken soulvaki is to die for!!! My dining partner had some sort of grilled vegatarian sandwich and professed it to be delicous. The service was excellent! We will definitely be back! I may join my other friend in coming once a week! I definitely did NOT see any of the rudeness that the previous poster alluded to. The place is family run so perhaps they relate to each other on a different level and were joking? I don't know. I just know I am pleased with the service *I* received and I will back!
