The rude woman who appeared to be the manager is no longer there. For those of you who experienced her idea of customer service and were put off, she has not been there in some time now, at least for our last 4-5 visits. Thank god! I feel like it's safe to go there again! More importantly , the food is consistently good, hot, and with enough variety to keep it from getting too tired as a regular feed. They do mix up the meats on the buffet some, but as noted in another review not enough, and they do occasionally have goat, and other more traditional meats. They are always a treat! Sometimes they can get a bit behind refilling the trays, but I don't mind waiting if the food is good. Be aware that it might affect your time factor if you are trying to grab a quick bite. The breads/sauces/chutneys are all freshly prepared and it shows. The price has gone up a little, but it is still a great lunch value, especially for such hard to prepare foods. I would not put them up against some of the better Manhattan, Ottawa, or Paris, Indian food I've enjoyed, but I'd certainly put Sahota Palace near top of the list for your standard Indian buffet lunch. Going there today, (for real) and I can't wait! The palak paneer is killer.
Pros: consistently good food, nice atmosphere
Cons: buffet might not be refilled in a timely fashion
