I'm from out of town and was visiting my family and decided to get a tattoo. Called to see if I needed to make an appointment to go in and was told that I could go ahead and come in without an appointment. After driving across town I was informed that I would have to make an appointment after all. Not only that but that I had to leave a $20 deposit and it was made ""clear"" that if I let her know at least a day in advance that I wasn't going to be able to make it that I'd get my deposit back. After leaving I realized that if I got a tattoo there I'd probably end up with Hepatitis as well as a nasty ass tattoo so I decided against it and let her know a full day and a half in advance that I wouldn't be able to make my appointment. After calling her multiple times she finally called me back and informed me that deposits are non refundable and that it's ""only 20 dollars"" and that she had already spent my money and wouldn't be able to pay me back anyway. I got a tattoo from Sonic. He was very rude, unprofessional, and all the color came out of my tattoo. This isn't my first tattoo so I know how to care for them and this is the ONLY one i've had lose color. The counter help, named Jeremy, was equally unprofessional and rude. I do not reccomend this shop to anyone!! I will NEVER go back. more

I got my nose pierced at Sacred Heart and found them to be polite and informative. The studio is very clean inside and I watched them take all of the equipment of its packaging before starting. He sterilized my nose and re-sterilized it again after I touched it. The piercing was painless and the price was right. Mickey was very professional and I'd definitely recommend the studio to others. more

I recently decided to get a Monroe piercing at this studio and I was extremely happy to be there. We didn't have to wait long and the staff was SOOOOO friendly. I wasn't from the area and tried traveling to a few other places that were uninviting and rude. Mickey did the piercing and he was awesome. I recommend him He told me everything that was going on and they were very clean. I am pleased with the result and if I ever wanted another piercing I would only go there. I Recommend this place to anyone!!!! If you go you will not be disappointed. They are the best(: They even whipped me up piercing cleaner on the spot Price is reasonable and the staff is AMAZING! i recently had a part of my body pierced at this studio and was very pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. she then got the Mickey the person that did the piercing. This man was so kind and informative. We went outside and had a cigarette to talk about what to expect and just what i wanted. He was great, very gentle and talked me through the whole procedure while he was doing it. I highly recommend this studio and person. more

When you read the reviews about this place being rude, it's true. They pretty rude at first. Okay let me tell you what happened today. I wanted to get my tattoo on my arm done today, and I went to Sacred Heart because they were open, i heard they tattoo well, and weren't busy at the time. I came in and it was kinda empty. The girl came and smiled at me (she was nice) and asked what I wanted. I told her what I wanted, etc. and said an artist will be ehre soon. A guy came through the back door (brandon) and he looked at my tattoo, drew up a stencil and showed me, then he said to look at the portfolios of the other people to see who I wanted. It felt like he was passing me on to someone else wtf. So i loooked through them and picked Jared. Jared came and drew me up a stencil and proceeded to tattoo. The people here do seem rude at first, but once you hang there for a while they are pretty nice. The girl in the front isn't that bad and the guys there are sweet?funny. Get Jared or Mike to do your tattoos, not brandon omg and I'm so glad. my tattoo was great btw. the prcing was reasonable. so give this place a try. I was really impressed not only with the tattoo work but with the friendly staff. Sometimes tattoo artist can come across bored or snobby but these people were very down to earth nice people. Place seems to be all about piercing, not ink...positively not helpful when they found out we didn't carry a design in our hands...go to Shaws! Let me start by saying I read the previous reviews, and talked to many people who got their tattoos or decided not to get their tattoos here. Most of which said do not go there, they are so rude. We figured we would give them the benefit of the doubt, because I have also heard they do great work. Well....When we first got there we waited 20-30 minutes before anyone even acknowledge we were there....I was beginning to think we were invisible. And trust me...they were not busy! I have been to many tattoo shops and seen busy...they were not. Finally a guy (who obviously was a nobody there) asked us what we needed. My sister showed him what she wanted and he said to have a seat and he would help us and that the tatt would be $150....he never came back. Then the shops chic that works in the front and stocks everything and makes appointments finally talked to us. She said she spoke to one of the artists and he only had one girl to do a small tattoo and he would do my sisters in 45 minutes. So, we know we would have to wait a while....we aren't first timers at this...waiting is typical. But, 1 1/2 hours later we were getting a little annoyed. My sister went and simply asked the girl up front if she should go ahead and fill out the paper work...she was so rude to my sister...for no reason. Then another 30-45 minutes goes by...finally a tattoo artist (we thought this might be promising) approaches us. My sister explains what she wants, he says it will be $200. When she says your other guy told me it would be $150, he threw her paper at her and said then have him do it, and walked off. Then they started laughing. Guess what Sacred Heart...you are not LA INK...you should take all the clients you can get. Wipe the chip off your shoulders! Ive had an industrial and nose piercing done, and this place is one of the cleanest places around! They even give a bottle of cleaning solution for the piercings, and it doesnt dry out your skin.The staff is EXTREMELY friendly too, they dont act rude, and they are full of extremely useful knowledge! Another great thing is that they do not use cheap jewelry, I have really sensitive skin and i get huge rashes and welts from most metals, but their jewelry is the only kind that I can wear without having a reaction. Their prices may be a little pricey, but I assure you its better to get it done the right way and pay more, than to get it cheap and done the wrong way. Sacred Heart to me, is the best place to get a tat or something pierced. The owner of the shop (timothy) IS the piercer so u must think that hes good, well wes f***ing awesome. He talks to you while you are getting pierced so it will distract you of the pain and stuff. And before he steralizes the euip and needle and stuff, he puts gloves on. and right before he pierces, he puts another pair of gloves on on top of that other pair so his hands are super sterile. the store is super super cleen. Its EXTREMELY colorful....Timothy is an artist. The colors are like exotic and so bright that the time flies by so fast when ur getting something done. To anyone wanted to get a piercing, I highly recommend this studio. It is clean, the staff is very professional and the piercing was done in a very sterile environment. I got a navel piercing, it was painless and I did not experience any pain afterwards. As an over '50' client I am very happy and love my new piercing! Thank You Sacred Heart Studio! I HIGHLY reccomend Scared Heart Studios to anyone. They are so professional there and take you seriously. My fiance and I went there to get our tattoos before we got married and the artist was so nice and was interested in hearing our story and listened to us gush about eachother! He was so personal, he made us feel like we had known him forever. They listen to what you want and give you want you want. They run as a real business and they are EXTREMELY clean, which is a plus. I love Sacred Heart Studio. It's so bright and friendly, and the artists there are really dedicated to creating the best tattoos for their customers. Their jewelry selection is quite large too, and they have everything from large organic plugs to odd gauge barbells and every color jewel inset pieces you could imagine! They are easy to find at the corner of Taft and Westheimer in the Montrose area, but be sure to park in the parking lot behind the studio and not on Taft as there are many no-parking signs on that street. I have had a piercing and two tattoos done here and loved it. My piercing experience was terrific. They were kind, professional, clean, everything you could wish. I loved that they walked me through everything they did and how everything was sterilized, and they were great about explaining the aftercare procedures and answering questions. MY BROTHER GOT HIS TATTOO'S AND PIERCINGS DONE FROM HERE, AND THEY ARE SO PROFESSIONAL, AND ARTISTIC! I didn't realize this place was SO busy and popular that you had to have an appointment! They still accomodated me the same day without one though. Jared Green did an AWESOME job on my tattoo. I had been to other tattoo studios with friends where they were asked what they wanted, told to sit down, were briefly told how to maintain their tattoo and that was it! Jared took the time to explain EVERYTHING he was gonna use, (from needle to gloves). He was intrested in the meaning of the tattoo. Damn, the guy even told me what soap and lotion to use for aftercare! He was very attentive. I'll definitely be going back for my 2nd tat...hell even my 3rd maybe!
