The only place I will ever go for a massage again! 11/4/2008

I found Sabai once on a very rainy day off and in desperate need of a massage. Jessika is very professional and very attuned to my body and what it needs. Since my car accident in February, Jessika has helped speed up the healing process by setting up a treatment process and recommending additional treatments that very much helped. But what I appreaciated most was that she let me try them out before I decided to purchase them. more

Consistently Delightful! 10/29/2008

I found Sabai just as I decided to start taking more care of my body and could not have imagine a better place for relaxation, rejuvenation, and reflection. I have been getting regular massages at Sabai for seven months and I have only had wonderful experiences, the staff is friendly, warm and professional. The care and attention given to me at each visit feels like I am the only one in the world! I feel very secure and confident in the hands of these professionals (pun intended). Through each massage, I learn something more about my body and myself. Aside from the fantastic massage, the interior design is stunning and makes me feel transformed just by walking in the door! Pros: Great Massage! Beautiful Atmosphere! Personable and Professional Staff! Cons: I want to live there! more

I cannot imagine going anywhere else for massage therapy! 10/29/2008

I highly recommend the massage therapy at Sabai. Their staff is wonderful and they have a caring and holistic approach to nurturing the whole body. I see a chiropractor on a regular basis, and he is consistently impressed that Jessika at Sabai seems to "know" the exact muscles to work on to complement his adjustments (not to mention that now it is much easier to be adjusted as a result of all the muscle work in massage therapy). I have noticed a difference in my body as well. I no longer feel tense and my body feels more and more at peace and "in sync" after every visit. Also, I recommend the Chinese fire-cupping offered by Sabai as well... TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is amazing! I have been a client at Sabai for several months. The services are worth every penny and my only regret is that I did seek the services of Sabai sooner! Pros: Friendly and knowledgable staff that know their practice, supurb ambiance, caring atmosphere Cons: None... honestly! more

Best head to toe rejuvenating experience 10/29/2008

Sabai is so welcoming you feel like you are like you are home. Josh or Jessika will offer you water or tea upon arrival and you can customize your massage to your taste. This goes way beyond choosing a scent. Try the head massage add-on for a total out of body experience. I have been a customer for over 4 years and would not go anywhere else for massage, acupuncture or Tai Chi classes! Pros: atmosphere, service, variety more

An Oasis in Uptown Minneapolis 10/29/2008

I have treated myself to a massage two times with Jessika. You feel relaxed as soon as you step into the door - the ambiance is incredibly calm, with soothing music, Eastern-style decorations, and a cool beverage before your treatment. I love the fusion of East-meets-West massage techniques, and I highly recommend the "Relax Mind" oil with your massage - Lime and Coconut - it makes you feel you are on the beach in Thailand! Jessika will take the time to talk to you before your massage to know what you are looking for. Get a massage here for complete relaxation, I highly recommend it!! more

Sabai Body Temple rocks 10/29/2008

I saw Jessika at Sabai. I have treated myself to one massage a month for a decade. Only a few were memorable. Jessika's was one. She is professionally trained, and it shows. She listens, she is fully present for the session, and never rushes. Her presence is so steady that I felt better the minute she stepped into the room. Actually, the bodywork really starts once you walk into Sabai and soak up the calming atmosphere. She and Josh have paid attention to every visual, aural, and olfactory detail, and the whole effect is greater than the sum of its parts. Men, if you've been seeking good bodywork in the Twin Cities, you probably know that it ranges from sublime to average to sleazy to outright dangerous. Sabai is in the sublime category. You're safe and you can feel good about telling your wife or partner about what happens there. more

A perfect escape! 10/29/2008

I can't explain how wonderful my experience at sabai was! When my husband and I went a few months ago, we may have walked in stressed and tense, but we basically floated out. I felt that Josh had pulled away years of stress, and felt even better in the subsequent days. Sabai is truly an oasis, you can leave everything burdening you at the door, and trust that you are in very capable hands! Thanks so much Jess and Josh! Pros: knowledge, service, atmosphere...oh! and the massages are great, too! more

Unique combination of ritual and elbow grease to leave you feeling amazing inside and out! 10/29/2008

Over the years I've had massages in a variety of environments from physical therapist's offices to Aveda salons and beyond....and my massages from Josh beat all other professionals, hands down. The environment at Sabai is soothing and peaceful without being too clinical or retail-y. Josh and the other staff at Sabai radiate a capacity for compassion and healing that, coupled with the environment, begin the process of slowing down and feeling better as soon as one walks in the door. I have had many massages here over the past year plus since I found Sabai, and I don't see the need to go anywhere else. The treatment rooms are clean, lovely, vibrant, unique, and peaceful. The treatment oils, teas etc. available at Sabai are wonderful, fragrant, and natural. Josh's massages are a unique combination of ritual and good old-fashioned elbow grease that always leave me feeling centered, relaxed, and frankly--beautiful! I highly recommend the "raindrop," which I believe has a new name now but it involves the systematic application of a series of oils on the back, coupled with massage and gentle heat to clear the mind and soul, soothe muscles, and detox the body--and it works. When you get up off of the table, as well as for several days after? You will feel...amazing!! Pros: atmosphere, value, service, kindness, parking Cons: ...that i can't go more often. :-( more

Major stress relief 10/29/2008

So I walked into Sabai with about 4 tons of stress on my shoulders and anxious shakes from the horrible downtown traffic that I just battled. It was like walking into a little haven of relaxation. The staff was very calming and very sympathetic to my stress level. Reflexology was something that I had never tried before but have done some studying about on my own. My first session at Sabai was amazing, the consultation, the work done and the post review were very helpful for me to keep in tune with my body. I am excited to try the other treatments that they offer as well as following up with more reflexology. I definitely walked out a different person and will be scheduling more treatments soon! Pros: Parking, special offers, great service, calming interior more

Terrific Massage-Teriffic Staff 6/28/2008

As a part of my road to retirement, I decided to treat myself to a monthly massage. A friend recommended Jessika; he is very choosy, and I was not disappointed. She is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, the setting is calming and the prices are great. I have also spoken with Josh about t'ai chi and I am excited about starting there as well. Pros: Price, service, staff, location Cons: None more

Highly Recommended 2/2/2008

After reading the reviews for Sabai Body Temple, I checked out their website and ended up making an online appointment for the next day. I have received massages at many local places including Chiropractor's offices, other spas and salons and I have NEVER experienced such a knowledgeable practioner. My entire experience from entering the door until leaving was simply exceptional. Josh is the person I saw and I will most definitely return for massages and will also be going for other services they offer. Thank you Josh and Sabai Body Temple. more

Natural Wonder 12/10/2007

Probably the most relaxing experience of my life. The 90 minute Asian Fusion is a must. With aromatherapy, you're guaranteed to have an outer body experience. As for Jessica. Make sure you drink LOTS of water for a couple of days after, as recommended. I didn't my first time and I was sore. more

Outstanding Massage 12/10/2007

I've been trying to find a massage therapist that really feels right for some time now. I've also had massages in various cities when traveling - San Francisco, Vegas, etc. This is the best massage by far. Its extremely comfortable and low-key. Scheduling is very easy and not a problem. You are treated very well with zero attitude. The atmosphere is very nice - the lights, the music, everything relaxes you right from the moment you take off your shoes at the door. But best of all, the massage itself is excellent. They always ask about special needs and they are very effective in inducing amazing relaxation as well as a healing touch to sore or stiff points. They are very knowledgeable in asian methods that they incorporate into the message experience. The best testimony I can give is that since I have started going once every two to three weeks, I have not had a single headache from stress that I used to get regularly. In general, I experience a greater sense of well being also. I highly recommend the massages here. Pros: Friendly service, expert massage skills, great environment Cons: haven't experienced any more

Best Massage Ever + Great Yoga Class = Bliss 11/8/2007

I love this place! The first time I had a massage from Josh I went home and told my husband it was the best massage I'd ever had. Now my husband sees him, too, and says his massages are the best (and we've both been to a few different massage therapists). They have a great new studio. It has great low lighting, deep rich colors, incense, feng-shui elements... the whole place just has a definite aura of peace, well-being, and relaxation right when you open the door. The staff there is really warm, welcoming, easy to talk to and treat you like you're special and they're happy you're there. They are actually really interested in wellness and seem eager to deliver a good experience. I take yoga there now, too, and I love it! It's a nice, small, intimate class and I always leave feeling centered, relaxed, and rejuvenated. I had the Raindrop Treatment (detoxifying with essential oils) one time and it cleared my infected sinuses as well as being fun, relaxing, and smelled really good. They also offer accupuncture, reflexology, Thai massage, and chiropractic. Pros: Staff, Ambience, Location, Price, Variety of Services Cons: None more

What a haven!! 11/7/2007

I have discovered Sabai one and a half year ago and I became a happy regular eversince. I appreciate the relaxation haven it provides, the holistic approach to healing, the variety of services, and especially the individual attention I receive every time I go there. I love both the massages and the reflexology sessions. They helped me a lot to relax, energize, get over a cold, sleep better, or rejuvenate. No matter what my needs were at the moment I stepped into the massage room, they were eased at the end of the session. Everybody deserves to get spoiled from time to time so whenever you need to escape, Sabai Urban Oasis is the answer! GELIA more

Go experience this for yourself! Go ahead, reward yourself, you deserve it. 11/6/2007

As my ritual of taking care of me, I try to go to Sabai twice a month. One of my declarations to self at turning a fabulous fourty was that I would take better care of my instrument. As a dancer that has been using my body almost daily for years on end now, it ometimes catches up pretty intensly. I wasn't a person who went to get bodywork on any regular basis in the past but now that I have found Sabai, I can't imagine not going regularly. Everything about Sabai Urban Oasis feels good to me. I walk in with stress and tension and float out feeling relaxed, refreshed, and back in control of things. Jessika and Josh are very knowledgeable and personable and offer a wide range of massage techniques and services. When you walk into the space you get a sense of calm and peace. I tell everyone I know to check them out. Roxane Wallace more

Most Intuitive Bodyworker 10/30/2007

I called these folks cold from the number on their front door, I just had a good feeling about it. I had myself in a pretty good stress-mess, and Jessika was able to very intuitively unlock a good number of the clench points in that pesky mid-scapular region that is a tresaure chest of stress for so many of us. Intuition is the key here - - she is very good at reading where energy blockage exists and gently moves through these points with an unobtrusive yet powerful force, tracing casue and effects I had no idea even existed. My only complaint is that I live in Oakland, California and can't get there twice a month as I would like. But when I visit mom for Christmas, I know what my present to me will be. Check 'em out!! Pros: Good intuitive massage Cons: I live in california more

Great care 10/16/2007

I have found the Sabai staff to be very knowledgable and experienced in their work. They provide excellent service with enthusiasim. What I like most is their interest in their clients. They take a genuine interest in their clients. They truely strive to provide their cleints with care that will improve the persons well being. If you want excellent care by experienced staff; see Sabai Pros: Centrally located in the Metro more
