I received and asian fusian 90 minute massage from Jessika. She was very intuitive and spent a good amount of time chatting with me before the session began, which was very nice, since sometimes at other places I have felt rushed / like the practitioner did not really listen to my complaints. I thought that 90 minutes would feel a lot longer, but soon I was so relaxed and semi-asleep that the whole thing only seemed like it was less than an hour. I've had many massages at different types of places and this is one of the bests. The entire atmosphere is relaxing and Ana really knew who to work on my troubled spots. She also gave me some tips for stretching and things I can do at home to help work out the tightness that I'm experiencing. So I wanted to look for a great birthday idea. After checking out Sabai's website, I thought it seemed like an excellent idea to try them out after reading a few reviews before possibly buying a gift certificate. After walking up a flight of unstable stairs on my first visit there (when I needed a massage the most) I came upon a locked door that indicated the next appointment was at 2pm Saturday. I went on a Friday at 2pm (???). I knocked, looked around for help, checked the hours of business (which were correct), even tried opening the door, waited for almost 30 minutes before I finally gave up and left. The sign said something about if the door was locked, there might be a session happening, etc etc. But guess what, there was NO ONE there through the glass window view that I could see at all. Where the front desk is located is beyond me, all I know is I shouldn't be waiting in front of a locked door. Seriously, if they are a relatively new business, how can they do this to new customers? I'm sure they offer great massage services, but how am I going to know if I'm greeted by a locked door during business hours. Pros: awesome website...???? Cons: poor stairs, no service more

All the rooms at Sabai are painted in warm colors. The windows are open on warm days and comforting breezes play with the gauzy curtains. The staff will provide you with a small cup of tea while you wait in the lounge. I went to see Jessika and she greeted me with a calm, quiet voice. She explained to me that the style of massage they employ at Sabai is slower and less rigorous than I might be used to and she asked me some questions about my ailments. I found that the massage was indeed less intense than I expected, but in a good way. It was like a yoga class that is slower and more meditative: I didn't feel like I was getting a workout, but when all was said and done it felt as if the massage had slowly worked it's way into my muscles and I could feel the results far beneath my skin. I guess what I mean is that it wasn't so energetic and pleasurable as it was soothing and therapeutic. Jessika was communicative and responsive to my feedback. I will go back. Sabai body temple is a great place to go for massage. The blend of Eastern/Western technique leaves you feeling relaxed and stress free. Bought a gift cert. in December. Finally used it 5 months latter with my GF. We split an hour massage and she got a foot massage in addition. I was treated to a massage by Jessika. She asked some good questions, brought some fine oil, and began. She found a line of tension (I am sure from life as a student and part time server) from my shoulder to my hip and gave it a good work out. I will be going back and you should too. Jessika has trained for massage in China and she uses a intuitive and holostic approach. I have had massages all over the USA and Internationaly as well and this is the BEST place to get a massage. The atomosphere is very calming. I had the fire cupping with my massage and it works great on old and repetitive injuries. I also enjoy the add on treatments you can get with your massage.
