SK Lavery Appliance Company

We have ordered numerous appliances from SK Lavery over the past 20 years and have never had any problems. We recently had a washer and dryer delivered and the delivery men showed up when they were supposed to, set everything up appropriately and even knew where to look in the basement when the water did not come on (these were new hookups in a recently renovated bathroom so I did not know where the new water valve on/off switches were yet). I recommend them. more

We bought a dishwasher from them that has caused us continuous problems ever since. Lavery has been extremely sluggish about fixing it or about addressing our concerns. The problem with the dishwasher is intermittent, and when a service person came out, the unit happened to work. For this reason, they have been dragging their feet for months, and they have been disrespectful and unhelpful over the phone when we call to request their help. I would never buy anything else from them. more

Had defective dishwasher; was taking 4-5 hours to complete cycle ending with dirty dishes.They replaced a part, still didn't work, they replaced it again. While scheduling these 2 appts for the service person to come out, they canceled or "no-showed" 4 times. Once I was told "the person called in sick"~ then "we had you on the schedule for tomorrow" ~ that following day they didn't show up and then they had called me the night before the appt and left me a vm to tell me they rescheduled me for the following week b/c they were overbooked. Unbelievable!!! After the 2nd 2 hour appt the d/w stopped taking 4-5 hours but the dishes were still dirty and the filter was still scummy (even though I am on my 3rd replacement and I've been told you shouldn't have to replace them). I was told today by Mr. Lavery that if he "sent someone out every time he heard the dishes were dirty they would always be out on service calls". He was so rude and argumentative that I thought it was a joke! This is the service the warranty gets you. You've been made aware! more

Ihad a great experience with Lavery! My dishwasher wasn't working, so I went in to Laverys to buy a new one. When I described my problem to the salesperson, he suggested that I try to replace a defective part. I contacted the parts dept, they had the part in stock, I installed it, and for $35 I had a working dishwasher! Everyone there was so helpful! more

When my appliance was delivered, the filter part sent was different than what was ordered and paid for. It didn't fit. Installer said he'd talk to salesperson, get correct one and return. Next day, salesman called and scheduled for correct part to be delivered. When no one showed up for new appointment, I called to find that appointment was never written down and the part was not even in stock. I always try to buy from small, independent stores--not big chains--but will never buy from SK Lavery again. more

We found ourselves without a refrigerator when a bigger retailer failed to call us prior to our delivery date to tell us we weren't getting our appliances on the date promised. (Found out night before when we tried to confirm our delivery time window for the next day. Already had given away our fridge that same day and had our food out on the deck in coolers, thinking it would be there for overnight and 1/2 day.) We promptly cancelled our order and went right down to S.K. Lavery, which we should've done in the first place. We are so grateful to Tiki, who arranged for a free loaner to be delivered ASAP. Not only was it delivered as promised, it was a brand new refrigerator to use until our new appliances come in. I highly recommend this company and their personal service they give new customers! more

S K Lavery has been in business for a very long time. They are one of the old school local appliance stores. They have a parts department if you know how to fix things. They also offer delivery. They sell nice grills and refrigerators as well as electronics like big screen tvs and stereos. They are a little more pricey than a best buy but they are friendly and it is worth it to support the local business. more

if you're redoing your kitchen or laundry room or bathroom I would go here for high quality items. We just put on a large addition and got all of our products here since we love their stuff. We are very happy with their service staff and the products. They have free delivery too which is nice and will come out and look at the appliance to see if it's working alright. They are so friendly and nice. I like it there alot. Im gonna buy my next appliances there. more
