Got my brakes done not that long ago here. Replaced all four rotors and brake pads with new sensors. They don't charge you a arm and a leg like others will. Definetly will go back...

Went to get my breaks fixed, and found out my shocks were out, which was not a lie because they showed me the leaks. Gave me a great deal, and a loaner car too! Thanks for service!!! more

Honest & Reliable Auto Repair Shop! My trusted mechanic 5/12/2010

I've been a customer ever since they opened up shop in Downey, CA about a year ago. I heard they used to be in Paramount for many years and had relocated to Downey due to an expansion. I'm glad they came into my town because I don't think I would have discovered them if they hadn't moved from Paramount to Downey. Shawn and Brian are the two main people running the shop. I always call before I come just to make sure they can service my car and there was only one incidence where they told me they could not take in my car because they had a lot of other cars they needed to service, so I brought it in the next day. Overall, my experience with SB Auto has been positive. They do get a little busy at times but I think that's because everyone else also thinks they're honest and like having their car serviced here. They also have directv here so I don't mind hanging out in the waiting room while my car is getting worked on. I trust them so much I have even referred my boss to come here. more

Fast oil change and quick smog check! 5/12/2010

I went in because they came up on my search for an oil change near my work in Downey. When I called in, they were very nice and friendly and said they can fit me in today and they would have the oil change done within 30 minutes. When I went in, they greeted me politely and I did not feel like I was at your usual auto repair shop, they did not push me to fix anything else or make me feel uncomfortable waiting for my car. I waited on their comfortable couches and watched ESPN. My car was done within the 30 minutes promised, but I noticed they do smog checks and I was planning to get it done next week around home. I asked how long a smog check would take and they said they can do it within 20 minutes and they did. The prices were fair, but I was happy with how comfortable they made me feel and I felt as if they cared. The accurate timeframe for the work to be done was also great! I think the place is owned by a nice family and they seemed honest! I'm not sure about other car repairs, but I was very satisfied with my oil change and smog check and recommend this repair shop! I will use them again. 4/28/2010

I first called SB Automotive in order to get a fix-it ticket handled. I needed to see the certificate guy to check my lights, but it ended up that I needed my headlights rewired because the last mechanics had done it badly. They were pretty helpful throughout the process, and gave me a good price. They gave me good service, and let me know when it was going to take a while. I was very happy with the work. They did a really good job and gave me a reasonable price. I will totally use them again. more

Great Job on Miata Engine Replacement 4/22/2010

SB Automotive replaced the engine on my Miata at a great price in just a few days. They were very good about explaining the options to me and letting me know what items would be a good idea to replace while the engine is out of the car and what can wait until later. more

Comfortable and timely service. 4/22/2010

My son first had some major work done at SB Automotive and received good service so he referred me. I have been very happy with the service I receive there, and everything works even better than I expected. When they said it was going to be an hour, it was done within that hour. Brian walked me around to let me know what was going to happen. He was very personable and very nice. He showed me the office where I could wait, and wanted to know if I needed to make any calls home. When I wanted to make a call he let me use his personal cell phone. I was very comfortable at SB Automotive. more
