A neighbor referred me to Sam at Sam’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. when my AC/Heating unit needed to be recharged. My neighbor had used Sam on two separate occasions for a new AC/Heating Unit, and to have another AC/Heating Unit recharged. He was satisfied with the service he received from Sam on both occasions. I contacted Sam for an appointment, and as you can imagine his schedule was very busy; however, he was able to schedule an appointment for me in a very short time frame. Another reason I chose Sam from other companies I had contacted was Sam gave me a price range for the service I was requesting where the other companies I contacted could only provide me with an hourly rate. From the moment Sam arrived to inspect my unit he was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He was able to determine where my unit was located even though it was not identified; he had the necessary parts on his truck, and quickly recharged the unit. The price for service was reasonable, and within the range Sam had earlier quoted. Sam is very knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning. Our 42 year old system needed replaced and Sam explained in detail the various systems and suggested the proper replacement for us. Sam was very professional and personable. He found the problem within about 20 minutes. Instead of major motor replacement, he determined it was the capacitor. Once replaced, system worked perfectly. He also made helpful suggestions on some upgrades I could do in the future. He was fair and reasonable in his charges. I would recommend him to anyone who might have an issue with air conditioning or heating systems. Sam replaced my heating and air conditioning unit on my roof after I had been quoted almost 4 times the amount - I had been majorly scammed by another company and, thankfully, called Sam just in time. I am very satisfied with Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning. He has done some repair work on our furnace before, and he had done such a good job that we decided to call him back when we needed to replace our furnace and air compressor. We had fixed our compressor in the past with other people, and they used a sealer which didn't allow Sam to take the part off to fix the leak. Since it was a 23 year old unit, he said they didn't even make the repair part anymore, and it was only running at 30 efficiency, we decided to change the furnace. Sam gave us a quote, the quote was very good, and we decided to go ahead and do it. They got it done on schedule, as he said they would. He told us he was going to be here and was always here on time. He said he would show up on Saturday at 10 and was there 5 minutes early. I noticed that there was no schedule with the quote, and he said that he'd have it finished on Saturday. All in all, it took four hours for them to both install the condenser and the furnace. They also got it all checked out, set up the thermostat, and showed us how to use it. Sam is very responsive and excellent in customer relations. He is a gentleman in a strict sense of the word. He came in and laid out runners so that the work would not be dirty, moved furniture that was in the way, and it was just a very professional, quick job. I couldn't believe it. more

Wonderful service, on-time, honest, great value, gets the job done! We picked Sam after reading reviews here and elsewhere. I'm glad we did. We had trouble with our heater. We had Sam and another (bigger) company out to give us a quote. Sam cost us A LOT less and provided great service. And when we had a little problem with the new heater, he was out here faster than anything, figuring it out and fixing it. He even called us later to make sure everything was ok. He clearly cares about the work he does. This is the guy you want for your heating and A/C job. more

I had received information from San Diego gas company regarding a cracked furnace box which made my furnace completely un-serviceable. While I was in the process of getting quotes, I did a web search for a good company. I also had a few recommendations to go on. When I had Sam out, from Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning, I thought he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He identified some things that hadn't been pointed out by the San Diego gas company which to me was a good indication that he really knew what he was talking about. He was able to come up with a favorable solution and we arranged a time for him to come out. On the day of the appointment Sam called me up and told me that he had finished his earlier jobs ahead of schedule and he and his crew were available and more than happy to come out earlier if it worked for me, which it did. I appreciated his flexibility. They worked all day, as it was a pretty extensive job. They installed a new furnace and duct work, and testing. After they were finished, they cleaned up very nicely and made sure everything was just as it was when they arrived. Everything was great and so smooth, I was just tickled! I would definitely recommend this company to anybody, and will use them again in the future! more

I found Sam at Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning to be extremely responsive and he gave a lot of great information about what I needed, for a great price! I found out about Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning by coming across their website. Sam put in a new air conditioning and heating unit in our house. I live in a mid-century house that is not the easiest to work with. I thought he just did a great job retrofitting the system to make it exactly right. The prices were more than reasonable. Sam lives real close to me, and I've actually known him for many years. I can't judge Sam's work, as I'm not an expert myself, but it looks great to me! He did exactly what I wanted , in the time frame I wanted it done in, and the price was reasonable too. It seems to be working just fine, so I have no complaints. more

I hired Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning to remove the old heating and air conditioning units from my home and install new ones. They provided the necessary facts and figures, so I chose them. When I asked about central air, Sam's Heating and Air Conditioning gave me good information, and they weren't pushy. That led me to hire them. They installed a new central air conditioner, a new heater, and new duct work in half the house. The installation was very good. It went a lot quicker than I anticipated. They took 2 full days, but it felt very quick. They did a good job, and it all works perfectly. Something that I don't get too often, is that Sam followed up with me 3 times. He followed up about a week after to make sure everything was working and to make sure I had all the paperwork for the California rebate. He called again twice to check and make sure I had received the rebate, and when I hadn't yet he actually called on my behalf. more

I shopped around, got Sam's Heating & Air Conditioning's quote, and made sure he was licensed. I also checked to make sure there were no complaints against him and checked with his prior customers. I decided to use him. His price was good, and he has quality equipment. He answered all my questions and made sure everything was up to code. He did the work when he said, and everything works fine. He followed through on what he said about the work, and I have no complaints. more

Sam's Heating & Air Conditioning did well by us. He put in a new AC and heater, and he seemed really knowledgeable in what we needed. We thought about just getting an AC, but he explained the reason why we would want to get them together. He also knew about all the rebates. What he said made sense, and we followed his direction.
