I was lucky enough to have a highly experienced plummer. We had water get into the basement because of a clogged drain, just outside of the basement door. During the hurricane, so much rain came down that a lot of water accumulated at the basement door and seeped into the house. We were not sure if this drain was connected to the sewer or was just a dry well, since we are new owners. The Roto Rooter plumber named John did a thorough investigation, sucked up a load of sand, dirt and leaf debris. He finally after about 30-minutes of persistence was able to unclog the drain and snake it through to the sewer. Let me tell you this will save us a load of dough, because heavy rain would resut in water getting under the basement door. Great job John.
