Roto-Rooter Plumbers 8/7/2011 8/8/2011

The plumber, Bill, was prompt and friendly. He did a quick assessment with the info. I gave him re. my stopped up kitchen sink. He warned me of the possibility of a leak where the pipe went into the wall and showed me the rusty fitting. He worked steadily on a hot Sunday evening in Minneapolis... this is the time I had asked for with the dispatcher on the phone earlier in the afternoon. He spent a little time in the basement showing me where the kitchen pipes from my tenant unit upstairs meet my pipes to tell me how the upstairs sink may effect my drainage. After the drainage was partially cleared he demonstrated that the older pipes were now worn to the degree that they could not be tightened, but I just noticed that he did not leave the pipe here and that is not good. I will be getting two other estimates today of this job before I finalize on who to hire. more

Our kitchen sink drained very slow and had not been serviced in the 6 years we owned our home. The Roto-Rooter plumber from the Minneapolis location provided very quick service. He needed to spend quite some time to free the drain and was very thorough on cleanup. He gladly accepted the on-line coupon we'd printed. Roto-Rooter Plumbers 06152011 7/5/2011

It was a success only due to the workers tenacity. I had never seen any previous plumber snake all the way out the front yard before. The extra time and effort put into this paid off in the end. The problems I had for years have finally been figured out and solved thanks to him. He kept his cool and kept on going when others would have given up. I felt he gave great customer service. Excellent Service 6/7/2011

My fiancee and I just recently moved into our first house and within one week, the main sewer line and garbage disposal backed-up (on two separate days). We called Roto-Rooter and within hours, they arrived, assessed the problem correctly and fixed the issues. \r \r Both representatives were extremely professional, knowledgeable and sympathetic to our homeowners blues. Both provided excellent suggestions to minimize any future occurances and were thorough in their work. \r \r We would certainly call Roto-Rooter again or refer to our friends in the Twin Cities. The cost to address both issues certainly hit or wallets hard, but what they do is not a fun or easy job and we are very grateful for their quick response and resolution. more

The service was good in that the technician arrived on time according to the appointment schedule. He was very nice, and he did a very good job. Our only complaint was that the initial hourly rate is very expensive and we were charged for an hour and a half for something that definitely did not take that long and could probably have been completed in an hour. more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers May 21, 2011 5/28/2011

Last Saturday was chosen to put in our 3 new faucets. After purchasing all the ""needed"" materials, my husband went to work early in the afternoon. After a couple hours, it was determined that he was unable to complete the project. We have older plumbing and everything was corroded and rusted shut. I called Roto Rooter because I have had experiences in the past where I have used them and been very satisfied. I called, got immediate attetion and within an hour heard from the plumber who would be coming to the house. He arrived, put on blue mitts on the feet and after explaining the situation to him, he went right to work. It was a difficult job, but we feel that the Roto-Rooter plumber did an excellent job. Again, we have been very well satisfied with Roto-Rooter service! more

Pretty Expensive 5/24/2011

On May 11, Roto-Rooter analyzed and repaired a leaking laundry tub faucet at my residence in Minneapolis. The hot side was leaking so much that water pressure could not be maintained throughout the house and enough water was being wasted that it was necessary to use the main valve to turn water off for the whole house. The service was performed about 9 am. The washer on the hot side was bad and the stem cup that holds the washer was partially broken. Prices quoted were $200 to fix the faucet and $500 to replace it. My son?s fiancé who is living in the house after consulting with my wife decided to have the faucet repaired. (My son is out of country and I was on a field trip with students and could not be reached.) The technician replace both the hot and cold washers and the faucet does not now leak. \r \r If $200 sounds reasonable to replace two washers then Roto-Rooter should be fine. Great Service, Reasonable Pricing 5/12/2011

I found Roto-Rooter very helpful, efficient, and cost effective. They do not charge just to come out - they come out for free and will give you an estimate before proceeding with the work which I found very helpful. Other plumbers I called charged at least $80 just to come out and give you an estimate. Our technician was very nice, quick to clear the clogged drain, and offered great advice. I would definitely call them again, and would recommend them as a great option for a plumber in Minneapolis. more

This was a very professional job. I was able to get service within an hour of my telephone call! The service man made sure to double-cover the wheels of the machine so as not to drag dirt or sewage into the house. He was able to go around an area in the basement not affected with sewage so he did not roll his equipment through it. He also made a point of closing all doors after going through them which was very polite. He did the job within an hour and we're very happy with the results. We'll definitely use this company again. more

Our main sewer line backed up and our floor drain needed work as well. Brian, the plumber, was very informative and efficient in his work. He also covered how to care for our drains in the future. Roto Rooter Minneapolis was very courteous on the phone and they came out as soon as possible. Very impressed and would recommend them! more

This is the second time we've had to call Roto-Rooter; it's an old house. In this episode, the kitchen sink (disposal and dishwasher drain as well) backed up. Snaking, plunging, pulling out the pipe didn't work. RR replaced the pipes, discovering another previously unnoticed break in the process, and cleared the drain. more
