This was a simple case of replacing a 40 gallon gas water heater. The gas had been shut off and the tank had been drained. They were supposed to show up between 1:00 PM and 4:00...

I was very impressed with the service. Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service provided immediate service and within 2 hours my pumbing problems were alleviated. They were polite and courteous both on the phone and in person. They gave me the upfront costs with no obligation, and no service charge if I chose not go forward with the work. They did what was necessary to fix my problem without pushing more service than necessary upon me. I would recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbers. more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 05-09-11 5/10/2011

I called Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Services in Providence last night for troubles with my shower. I was immediately impressed with the response time, I had a plumber at my house inside of an hour. Not only did the plumber fix my shower but also found and fixed a leak that if not found in time could have caused a major disaster. He was thorough and geniunely cared about his workmanship. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbers. more

Being an elder woman who lives alone, I had a problem with a clogged toilet...Within the hour, a very informative young man arrived. He explained what he was going to do and further explained what would happen if he was unable to fix the problem the easiest way. He politely ask me how "Young" I was and gave me the senior discount. Very happy with the service and will call again if and when I need further assistance.. more

Very fast and timely service....... I rent an apartment in which the landlord recently lost to the bank.i am in the process of looking for an apartment.the hot water in the shower was running constantly,even when the water was turned off completely.this was happening for about 2 weeks and was getting worse and worse.today there was no hot water.so i decided to call a plumber.i looked in the yellow pages and i seen the full page ad about roto-rooter.i called and they said a plumber could look at it for free and give an estimate.she also said that a plumber could be out within an hour.the plumber was at my door in 20 minutes,i was very impressed on how fast he got here.he was able to fix my shower faucet in about 20 minutes,which i was very happy!It was a little costly,but the plumber was very nice and generous.considering i am a tenant and am living in a foreclosed home and trying to find a place to live,he reduced the price.which i appreciate it very much.i am on disablity and i have a 2 yr old and i am pregnant.i would definitely call them again if i needed them. thank you so much roto-rooter more

Great Service 4/15/2011

Had an old cloged sink problem in the basement that hadn't been used for a couple of years. Called to make an appointment and they said they would come out when it was convient to me. The day they were to come out they had a cancelation and called to ask if I wanted them to come earlier and I said yes. John, the service man, came in to look over the problem. He discribed how he was going to corret the problem, the cost, and the amount of time it would take. In no time, he had the sink flowing once again. I thought it would be more complicated but with their equiptment and experience it was just routine for John. A JOB WELL DONE!!! JJ more

The original plumber on my job was Jim H from Providence. He arrived on time, but the snake didn’t work. He called in the "Jet Guy" Apollo. He was excellent. Jim actually came back to help Apollo that same night. Super teamwork. more

After a night of cleaning a flooded basement and apartment, I called Roto Rooter service the following morning. They came in a flash, cleaned the sewer, scoped it as well (could see the crud and roots), and returned the following morning to finish the job. WOW! clean, organized, and very high tech!!!! what a relief! My retirement fund will have to build itself up, but it is worth it. Anna C. more

Winter damage to my home this season has been dreadful and then came the broken pipe! It was a pleasant surprise to call Roto Rooter and have them show up within a few hours. The attitude and pleasant personality of Jim who came to save the day was a breath of fresh air and turned an awful experience into a not so bad. Apolo #1853 Was fantastic. He came in to snake out our main line in Pawtucket that was full of roots. Then informed me of a bunch of other issues and gave me as much info as he could to fix it (main line needs to be replaced completely) Even stating I should go down to the city to get my blue prints just so I know where everything is placed. Very helpful, nice, and neat plumber. Highly recommend! more

I needed a plumber to check my waste pipe for slow flow and clogs. Jim arrived a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time and was professional and helpful. He scoped out and then snaked out the pipe in a reasonably fast manner. He was also quite clean and organized as he worked. My place is in Providence. more

Roto-Rooter Excellent Plumber In Providence area 3/3/11 3/3/2011

We had weeks of slow running drains. Finally our drains stopped running. Our technician came and diagnosed the problem. Things did not go easy for him, he worked like a dog, Eddie #7109, was determined to fix the problem. He didn't even want to take a lunch break. He called in his partner to resolve the problem. They both went above and beyond our expectations! He even cleaned the floors! I would recommend them both to anyone. These guys were great -- Providence area plumbers!!!! more

At about 9:30 P.M. on Sat. Feb. 26, 2011 my sump pump failed and water was coming into my cellar. I called Jim from Roto- Rooter(he had done work for me before) and explained my problem. He arrived at 10:30 and installed a new pump. He worked until 12:30 A.M. to complete the job. Jim was extremely professional. I have always been completely satisfied with Roto-Rooter service. This time the company went above and beyond to solve my problem. I will not hesitate to call them for any future plumbing problems. more
