Our toilet was clogged and leaking. I called Roto-Rooters in Minneapolis and they were literally at my house within an hour. The plumber was very nice and they state the prices up front. He was done within 45 minutes. They also had a coupon on their website for $30 off, which was great. Overall, a good job done quickly. more

Our toilet was clogged and leaking. I called Roto-Rooters in Minneapolis and they were literally at my house within an hour. The plumber was very nice and they state the prices up front. We were having drain issues and could not solve them ourselves. We knew we needed a plumber so we called Roto-Rooter to come help us out, we are south of the river, so we needed a plumber in the Minneapolis area. The plumber Mark #910 was very courteous and polite, he knew what he was doing, and he had our drains fixed very quickly. Mark explained things so we knew what was going on and how he was to fix it. He was on time and did the job on our time that we needed and in a timely manner. We would defintely use Roto-Rooter again for any needs that they can help us with. more

Our tub wouldn't drain. We plunged and plunged--until black crud came up in the sink. Yep, then the sink wouldn't drain either. When the water shot through the clean-out cap on the floor like a fountain, we covered the bathroom in towels and called Roto-Rooter. After two hours of serious auger work echoing throughout South Minneapolis, the fine fellow had drilled through the problem, and our water drains better than ever before. We couldn't be given a warranty (because of the nature of our pipes) but it cost a lot less than the last plumber I had do some work, and the drain is now so fast it creates a loud vortex as the water disappears. Really nice. more

I was very pleased with technician Jeff, # 2205. I called on Saturday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. for a clogged laundry tub. He was there in less than 1/2 hour and ran a cable thru the pipe. It was cleaned out. It drains great! Excellent customer service. I had a coupon which he accepted. He is a smart man, explained everything and is proud to work for Roto-Rooter. I wasnt happy weds aug 11 when I had to get to work early and my bathtub drain wouldnt clear and the black water backed up into bathroom sink and i needed to take quick and fast action, so i called roto-rooter and they responded in less than 30 min and the drain situation was fixed immediately by jeff h, a true professional as his trade. I was extremely happy with the service. The rest of the family didnt even know their had been a backup. more

We called Roto-Rooter on the night before we were supposed to go on vacation. One of the downstairs toilets was overflowing and it was also coming through the shower drain. At one point it was coming through the shower drain so fast it looked like someone was holding a hose underneath the drain upwards. I shut the water off and called. They were out within a couple hours and ended up getting the problem solved. I was very thankful but did want to make sure to note that you really need to not jump to conclusions right away. He asked where we get our sewer pumped and I showed him and right away before looking a bit further he said " Well there is your problem. Your sewer collapsed." I about had a heart attack right there as replacing a septic would have been 15-25 thousand dollars. He then after a few minutes said "oh wait here is the pipe" I told him he about gave me a heart attack and he should probably think before he speaks!! I woke up and found my basement floor drain had backed up. I called the Company, spoke to a very pleasant lady, scheduled an appointment and waited. To my astonishment I received a call, in about 45 minutes that a technician was on his way. The technician arrived shortly after the verification call from the Company.\r \r The technician, Tim (Number 630), advised me of the cost, prior to starting the job. Upon approval he went to work right away and after a short while had the problem resolved. The issue was a plugged pipe from the drain to the main sewer line. While he could have charged me for a major job, he was honest. He was also a nice guy to boot. I would recommend both Roto-Rooter and Tim to anyone who needs their services. more

Very good on the basics, BUT... 7/30/2010

The tech came out and cleared our drain and was extremely helpful. He suggested that we use their camera service because he saw some things that suggested we had a bigger problem.\r \r We were very glad that he did so because it turned out that we had multiple problems and the crew that came out did a great job of making sure that we fully understood the scale of our problems.\r \r They failed to earn a 5 star rating because the solutions they offered and the prices were simply outrageous. We told them we'd have to shop around and they turned on the hard sales pitch which caused us to completely lose interest in hiring them. But they WOULDN'T leave! They kept repeating the same points over and over and refused to accept the fact that they were continuing to alienate us.\r \r We shopped around and found, as expected, that their services were more than double the next highest bid.\r \r So I give them excellent marks for basic sewer service and the camera crew did great technical work but the more

Did a great job 7/23/2010

I called roto-rooter and within 2 hours they were at my house. I had water in my basement and the drain leading out of the house was blocked. He came in and immediately knew the problem and with minutes it was cleared. I could not have asked for better service.
