We called Roto-Rooter, Virginia Beach, VA, on 18 May about a stopped up commode. Alonzo, employee 1678, was dispatched to take care of our problem, and arrived within the appointment window we had been promised. After talking to Alonzo about the commode and some other plumbing problems we were having, we decided to avail ourselves of the whole house sewer line/drain cleaning special. Alonzo was very professional. He knew his job very well, which made us comfortable we had made the right decision. He took care of the commode stoppage first, which was caused by a large amount of wipes that had been flushed by our great-grandson. He then was very thorough in cleaning all the sewer lines, and all the drains in the sinks. He cleaned everything up as he proceeded, put everything back he had to take out of the cabinets, and left everything in great shape. Alonzo was a very personable young man, and was very patient in answering our questions. We have no hesitation in recommending this young man, and his company, and would assign both of them five-star ratings. We were thoroughly satisfied in dealing with Roto-Rooter and Alonzo. more

My slow draining tub ended up requiring him to cut through the drain pipe and pull out a couple of screws and an overflow plate still wrapped in plastic! Overall, I'm very pleased to have the work done right, done quickly and with a guarantee, to boot! more

Customer Service was very professional through the phone call. I suggested the work order be completed from 9-11am and the technician did not make it out to my house until after one. He was able to fix the Blockage in the drain line and was knowledgeable on what to do when reviewing the drain issues. The technician was able to take 15% off for being over 2 hours late. Came with a 6 month warranty on the drains. Can't complain here. more

We were so impressed with Roto Rooter. We booked an appointment on their website at 6 a.m. this morning and immediately received a confirmation. About an hour later, they called to confirm and let us know the tech was on the way. His name was Wayne (Tech #108) and he arrived just after 8 a.m. He located the cleanout in the backyard, snaked it out to the street, and was very professional, friendly and informative the entire time. He answered our questions about preventive maintenance and gave us a complimentary bottle of Pipe Shield to use monthly. Plus, they guarantee the work for six months. The entire experience was an A+ from start to finish. If we ever need this service again, they will be our first choice for sure. more

Kyle Harris #1014 was our service technician on Saturday April 25 and he arrived promptly to attend to our plumbing issue. He initially thought he would have to remove out toilet to fix the problem but really worked hard at finding another solution which he did! This saved us time, money and additonal cleanup and mess. It was truly a blessing to have Roto Rooter come and fix the problem we were having. Prior to them coming we had 2 other companies attempt to fix the clog.....then they recommended you guys. Earnest Temple and Danny (1601) did an excellent job and they didn't stop until the job was complete. They were very clear on the pricing for everything even down to the $4.99 screws! They also did everything to help us to lower the price. We are happy and very grateful customers at Harvest Ministries, Va. We would recommend Roto Rooter to anyone and will be using them in the future for any of our plumbing needs. Thanks for all you do with excellence. more

First things first, from my earliest remembrance, the need to call for a plumber was always with dread because of the usual cost. So, when my plunger did not work and the water was backing up everywhere, I had to make that last minute, dreaded call. I searched and there among many, stood out, Roto-Rooter's AD. Free estimate, No Hassle, No Trip Cost. The burden, the care, and the dread left me. I scheduled an appointment, fast and easy. The plumber showed up, professional with a smile of comfort. I described. He knew immediately the problem, described his treatment plan and cost. Problem solved in 20 minutes. Happy customer and Roto-Rooter didn't take me to the ""bank"". Call Roto-Rooter first. more

Our company was on their way!....and then....the drains overflowed! Called Rotor-Rooter and they were able to send Ernest Temple to our home on a Sunday. He was there about three hours and fixed everything. He rooted, snaked, and camera read the problem. This fine young man was polite, competent, and very knowledgeable. Christmas morning found our drains completely stopped, we spent a day trying old methods without any luck. On the day after, we called Roto-Rooter and Shawn Prunty showed up within the hour. On a Saturday morning we had what to us was a plumbing disaster. All drains and toilets were gurgling and backing up. We have a home warranty company and immediately called them. To our extreme disappointment, the servicer they chose first said they would not be out until the following day, then later stated they ?did not handle? our type of problem. At the suggestion of a relative, we called Roto-Rooter. They not only said they would be out that day, but said it would be in a couple of hours. When it was about10 minutes before the couple of hours was up, they gave us the courtesy of a call to say they would be a littler later, but reassured us they would be there. This is a courtesy few companies employ these days, they just let you sit and wonder. Shawn arrived, and the courtesy and professionalism just increased. He gave us a price up front, did the job which included digging a hole, and put things back exactly like he found them, including filling the hole and restoring my flower bed. I am so satisfied with the work and service that I may cancel the plumbing section of my warranty policy and make Roto-Rooter my ?go to plumber?. You cannot go wrong with up front pricing, emergency service at no extra charge, common courtesy and true professionalism. more

He got right to work on clearing my clogged up tub. He quoted me the estimate and that is what I paid. Although the service men were friendly - nothing was organized. I needed a camera and the first service guy told me his was broken and after he cleared the line he would have another tech come by and camera the line - that the tech should call me that afternoon or the next morning. No call for 2 days so I called roto-rooter back and they said I had to schedule another appointment - so they set me up for Friday, then they couldn't make it, then Saturday, then they were running behind, then finally Sunday the camera guy shows up. But then I get a call while the tech was there saying he was running late and then the following wednesday another service guy calls and says he got an email from our first service guy to come camera the drain. Pipes cleared and polite service men just no one knows what is going on. more
