Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

We've used Roto-Rooter in the past and have aways been pleased with their performance. It was always my impression that R-R was just a guy in a van that had a couple different size rodders to unclog drains. To my surprise they are well equipped to do much more. They have technicians with high tech inspection and locating equipment on staff. If they can't unclog a drain they can determine specifically is causing the blockage. With this knowledge they can limit the damage to a confined area to complete the repairs. When they do make repairs they do them from the perspective of how will they clear the drain in the future. This makes for much better system to maintane in the future. They have people on staff that can make any repairs necessary. Their staff is well trained in proper plumbing procedures and local codes. They have the skill set and tools to get things working quickly. They might be a little more costly but the resources they bring to the table are worth it. When the toilets don't flush you have 100+ people that use them it's nice to work someone who can quickly access the situation and call their own company for specialized resources. They are quick to arrive, courtious to work with and cleanup after the job is over. more

This was my second encounter with the Company and oddly enough, the SAME technician, Julian, who came to the house to perform the service. He was EXTREMELY courteous AND professional. He quickly determined the problem and began implementing a solution. I would HIGHLY recommend Roto-Rooter AND Julian to anyone with drainage problems! more

We had a sewer backup on Sunday afternoon. the Tech was quite busy that day. When he finally made it to the house he was professional and courteous. He knew what he was doing and fixed the problem. I would definitely call them again. more

I called Roto-Rooter at 9pm and asked about a service call. I was told someone was available and there isn't a premium rate for after hours. Julian showed up and couldn't have been nicer plus he used shoe protectors, which my wife loves when service men do, and looked at the problem and went to work. i called the roto-rooter in chicago on sunday dec 19th. i called at 9am to have a plumber come and fix my adjuster pump because my laundry room flooded. i was told i would have a plumber in 4 hours. i went and brought a new pump on my own, i just needed somebody to install it. nobody came. i had to miss work on monday and thet charged my $500. my plumber john badge number 1235 was great. more

I am completely satisfied with the job that was performed by Nail (#163-249) from Roto Rooter. What started out as a simple job turned out to be quite a challenge for Nail. However, Nail was totally determined to fix the issue, and after about 5 hours, he cleared a very stubborn clog. I recently bought my home in Grayslake IL and have had several local plumbers come to the house for the same issue. I had been quoted various prices and problems and was upset with the whole process. On May 24th I called Roto-Rooter Plumber in the Chicago area. They had a technician at my home in less than an hour. I explained I wanted a detailed diagnostic and evaluation. They brought a colored camera to my home and created a disc so if I didn't have them fix any problems they might find I had the data I needed to provide others or myself. They also had me watch them when they did the camera to show me all the different areas of problems. This was the most thorough diagnosis I have ever seen. I have had 3 companies come take roots out of my pipes and I could clearly see that they were all still there! How could this be?! Rick and Yury were the best in explaining how they clean the pipes and also told me of alternative things you can put in the pipes to eat the roots out and after a couple of years they would not even grow in my pipes anymore. The pricing is not like local plumbers. When they quoted me a price it comes with their sales code meaning the price is set. Its not the plumber deciding what he wants to charge me. I felt so confident with their recommendations and observations I finally had someone correct my problems once and for all. I have finally set up my plumbing relationship and will be calling them for my maintenance needs. Living in a very tree populated area there is always need to review the pipes yearly.
