Had to have sump pump pipe and downspout pipe repairs/replacement. Came home and Dave Bradshaw had finished the sump pump pipe replacement 10 minutes before a severe thunderstorm started. Perfect timing as this pipe was cracked and broken in three different places. Dave continued to work (in the rain!) and fixed all of the downspout pipes. I was very impressed with Dave's work and the knowledge he shared with me. I will definately use Roto-Rooter in the future! more

I had a leaking toilet and an outside faucet that has not worked in 12 years. Dave did a god job fixing the faucet complete with a shut-off valve and the toilet is back in operation. thanks. more

Dave, the plumber, was very friendly and seamed knowledgeable about what he was doing. He stayed to make sure the drain was clear, and that there were not any problems with any senerios. My only issue was that the work seamed a little pricey for the Columbus, ohio market, and they would not give an estimate over the phone. Otherwide, very happy with the service. more

I had to have a liner placed in our main sewer line last week. The personnel who did the installing were very thorough and efficient in their work. I was also facinating in the new technology to fix a problem where the only other alternative solution is to dig everything up for replacement. Time and money was saved with this new method. Last week we discovered that our hot water tank had broke. It was 8pm on a Saturday and we had just gotten back from vacation. Needless to say, this was not a great way to end the week. We frantically tried to shut it off and clean up the water. Then we had to search for a company that could assist us with replacing it. We have had our house for almost a year and a half and the house is only 6 years old, so this is not one of the problems we were expecting. With a search for plumbers in/around Columbus, OH, we were lucky to stumble upon the Roto-Rooter website and even luckier to discover that they offer weekend service. We quickly called the number provided and one of the friendliest customer service reps answered the phone. We told her what we had found and that we are new to owning a house and had no idea what to look for in a new one or how to replace it. She provided us with information about hot water tanks and even told us that they could bring out one on the way to replace it. Even more surprising was that they offered to come out that night and it was already 8pm! We didn't want to have them rush out so late at night, so we just turned off our water for the evening and made an appointment for Sunday morning at 8am. We went in search of a hot water tank to see if we could find our own before having the plumber bring one. We went to two places before we found one that suited our needs. Our original hot water tank was electric so we stayed with that rather than trying to get a tankless gas model. Unfortunately for the plumber, when he arrived he discovered that the tank we bought was bigger than the one he was removing. The previous owners had a 40 gallon tank instead of a 50 for a 4 bedroom house. They had also installed a rather large water softener. The plumber who was unlucky enough to get stuck with us did a fantastic job. The plumber was a true expert and was able to repair my garden hose spigot (adding a shut off valve I was lacking), repair and replace my washer hookups, replace a valve on my hot water heater, and add new, dedicated plumbing for my refrigerator's ice maker to replace a saddle valve. Had a back up of the downspout pipe from the house to the street. Called these guys to clear the line. The technician snaked the pipe at the street as he sat on a stool. After several tries he said he was only able to get the snake up about 8 feet from the street and there was nothing more he could do outside of calling someone else to replace the entire line (a 2500+cost). So for $199 (after internet coupon) I had nothing to show for my hard earned money. I called and left several messages with the technicians supervisor who never returned my calls. Ended up calling Mr. R and they fixed the problem. If you want your problem fixed don't call these guys. more

Good: Prompt response, thorough job, problem root cause investigation, not just treating the symptom. Water heater temperatures set too high causing thermal shock to faucet internal seals and gaskets. Excessive wear over time.. Bad: The price was a little excessive.. Called plumber for Columbus OH on a Friday night at 730 on a holiday weekend for a floor and sewer drain backup. CSR was quick, responsive and promised a call back within the hour. They called back as promised and said technician was on way. He arrived 5 minutes later. Quickly diagnosed and solved problem. Efficiently worked and cleaned up all within an hour. Drain clean out was simple and quick. The only negative is that our appointment time was slated for 4 to 6 pm with a call before hand. At 5:30 I called asking where they were...he arrived slightly after 6. Would still use again. more

We live in Columbus, Oh and we were in need of an emergency plumber. Our sump pump quit working late sunday night and we had water standing in our finished basement. Roto-Rooter came out and fixed the problem quickly. The technician was friendly and proficient and had all the needed parts with him to replace our sump pump.
