This USED to be a great restaurant, such a shame. The food is o.k. at best, prices high, the pizza cooks & a few of the waitresses look like thy live in the back room! We used to...

Bravo and Bon Appetit !!! 3/10/2012

Once again dinner at Rossi's. Am a customer for over 16 years and being Italian can really appreciate good food. Have tried different dinners over the years, and have never been disappointed. Service is good, staff are courteous and pleasant. Tonight I had the Carbonara which was sinfully good. All in all I can say is that each and every time I dine at Rossi's I walk away contented. Bravo!! more

Delicioso! 7/15/2011

The greeting at the door was friendly and warm. Seating was quick; service was friendly and thoughtful, the server made helpful recommendations with a good degree of knowledge. The food was brought to our table in a timely manner, presented beautifully, and it was so good I was really surprised. The place itself is very simple, like a country restaurant, but don't let that fool you - the food says it all, and it was spectacular! more

best italian food i've ever had 8/9/2009

this place has the best italian food i have ever had. the staff and owner are always very friendly and welcoming. the food has so much flavor and tastes like real authentic italian food. i love the chicken marsala and penne alla vodka. delicious! the prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. we always take food home with us. the place is very clean and the atmosphere is relaxed. this is our favorite restaurant, we go at least once a week. if you want real italian food, look no further. Pros: delicious and good prices Cons: nothing! more

Awful All Around 3/29/2008

Honestly, I would really never go back to this restaurant. We stood just in front of the door while the hostess walked by FOUR times and never so much as took down our names for when a table was available and it was only a party of two - not like there'd be a terribly long wait otherwise (and plenty of people had left while we were waiting there for like 15 minutes), and if the people who came in after us hadn't been honest about the fact we were there first, she would've just seated them because they were standing nearer.\r \r On top of the service being lacking, the food wasn't impressive either. You could easily taste that the spaghetti was made in the same unfiltered tap water that they served if you ordered water with lemon. If you live in this county, you know how nasty that is. If you don't - imagine slurping a puddle off the grass, it tastes like dirt and chemical wash-off. If the sauce wasn't canned, it should've been because it was pretty tasteless and at least stuff out of a can has SOME flavor - not just tasting like watery tomato juice.\r \r The bathrooms were filthy, too, and you can only imagine what a kitchen looks like if the bathrooms - an area they know their customers will be seeing - aren't cleaned any where near adequately. \r \r To top it off, on a terrible busy night they had someone completely inept behind the register who had people standing there for like 10 minutes while she re-figured out how to work the same machine she had just used to process three other credit card transactions.\r \r You'd be better off going to the McDonald's right next to the place. Cons: service, food more

Great locally-owned Italian 11/6/2007

This has been our favorite casual Italian place in the Trinity area for 7-or-8 years. They recognize us when we come in & usually place us in Ted's area (our favorite server). One thing we noticed after a few visits was their consistancy. Their pasta was always ""al-dente"" & it didn't matter if it was the main dish or a side dish. I got ""hooked"" on one of their entrees called Chichen Angelo & the preparation, flavor, sauces, etc., were always just as I remembered from the last time I ordered it. (I can only go so long, before I have to have a ""fix"" with that dish!)\r Don't expect china & linens, or a huge fine-wine list.. Rossi's is more of a casual, locally-owned, neighborhood place. more

Very good... 7/7/2006

Pizza: Very Godd ****\r Pasta: Even better *****\r Service: Always very good****\r We have never, (in 2 years) had a bad meal at this place. Owner greets you when you walk in, very sincere, always great service. Walk right buy the guy throwing pies in the air! Food is excellent. Try Nicks favorite, or any baked dish, penne ala vodka or one of over 20 veal dishes on the menu. And they know how to do Veal. Busy on weekend but never a problem with service or food.\r more

It all comes down to the sauce 2/25/2006

Overpriced pasta is only worth it if the taste is there. Unfortunately that is not the case at Rossi's. Basic spaghetti & meatballs were not even good. If they can't even get that right there is a big problem! more

Great Value 10/1/2005

Rossi's (formerly Angelo's) is one of the best values in the Trinity area. The food is consistently good, the pizza is excellent, and the prices are right. For the best value, check this place out for lunch- you will not be disappointed. The portions are just the right size and the prices are even better. more

Best Pizza of the South 12/5/2002

Being from NJ and eating the best pizza up North, Angelo's by far comes the closest to the pizza up NJians or NYers are accustomed to. Two thumbs for Angelo's and Rossi's! more
