Rosaline's Skin Care Clinic

I bought a group on for this place a couple months ago, called to book an appt. What I experience on the other end of the phone was atrocious!!! The owner Rosaline was the most ignorant, rude, and down right nasty person i have ever come across. I actually got a refund from group on bc I was so appalled at the way she was speaking to me while I was trying to book an apt. I am surprised that she is still able to offer services on these sites....I wouldn't recommend my enemy to this salon... She should be out of business ther way she treats her customers. more

Rosaline is so rude, I can't believe she's still in biz.. She has to offer a Groupon to try and get customers. She's downright mean, her place is dirty, and she's really not a good esthetician! Warning: STAY AWAY! more

They may have okay services, but the owner is not in the least bit courteous and is very unaccommodating. They are rude, and terribly condescending. It is very over priced for what it is. I do not recommend this place to anyone! There are plenty of great day spas in the area who treat people with respect as well. more

I have very sensitive skin, and just had a great waxing experience with Roseline. It was quick and not too painful. She was very friendly, and I will absolutely be back. more

I do not regularly visit spas or have massages, but was looking to relax and release some of the tension in my back. I was very much looking forward to Rosaline's, given the positive reviews and proximity of the spa to where I live. Needless to say I was highly disappointed from the very beginning. To start, the place/massage room was not what i expected from a top of the line spa,but I could have let this go had the experience been top of the line. The room was OK, but had a loud fan running which was distracting. The music wasn't exactly what I would have expected, not the soothing spa tunes type. My main gripe, though, is the massage therapist (I wish I recalled her name). From the beginning of the treatment I was made to feel very uncomfortable. As my back is very tight, I was a little tense and jumpy at first as she applied pressure. Rather than trying to adjust to make me comfortable, she repeatedly laughed at me saying "I don't know what to do, I use pressure and you squirm and I go lighter and you laugh!" and continued to laugh at my discomfort rather than adjusting. I had one particularly sore muscle that she kept going after, despite my obvious discomfort and the pain that this was causing me. Today (my treatment was yesterday) my muscles are extremely sort to the touch. I know one could expect some soreness, but I literally feel worse than when I went in. If this wasn't enough, she then began to ask about what I have done to caused me to have such knots in my back as if this was my choosing. All in all, I can honestly say that I did not relax for one of the 60 minutes of my massage. Overall, it was just not the experience I expected from a well rated spa and for the price that I paid. I can't speak to the quality of the other services, but would not recommend massage at this place, and will definitely be heading to Newbury st next time and sorely regret that I didn't yesterday. I needed to get rid of all the stress the economy has caused, so I treated myself to a massage and facial at Rosaline's. I had been there a few years before, and I couldn't think of a better place to go to unwind. Nothing has changed except the decor, and I mean that in the most postiive way!! The facial and massage were both top-notch, as usual. The staff, especially Rosaline herself, were so professional, welcoming, and soothing. The Spa was as clean and as comfortable as I remembered. So went to Rosalines for the first time as i had received a gift card from my girlfriend on my birthday. OUTSTANDING facial and massage! I went for a facial and massage and enjoyed every second of it. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent treatments and products (I bought a cleanser and moisturizer and love them both). I am so glad for that gift card as i have found a place i can keep going to for the best spa treatments ever. Can't wait for my next appointment to feel revitalized again!! A friend of mine recommmended Rosaline's for a facial. I was in town visiting my family for thanksgiving and just needed to treat myself. I have been getting facials for years and I am very loyal to my Esthetician in Washington, so I really did know what to expect. However, I had the pleasure of having Rosaline's herself and what a treat it was to have a treatment from her. This woman knows her stuff and spent a few minutes analyzing my skin and suggested a teatment that made my skin look vibrant. I have always been nervous about peels, but she did a lactic peel facial because my skin looked dull and it just did wonders for my skin. The ambiance is just lovely, clean and very relaxing. I have been a regular at Rosaline's for a few years now, but it was a pleasant surprize to walk into a whole new setup the other day... As you enter, cool cucumber green walls instanting calm your nerves and creating an ambience that's holistic, natural and revitalizing. Just what you need when you walk into a spa from the busy sidewalks buzzing with all that noise. The difference at Rosaline's is that you made to feel so special, pampered each and every time, something that is rare to find at most spas. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent treatments and products.. Every visit has been delightful at Rosalines. I recommend Rosaline's spa for it's facials. Though it could've had a more relaxing atmosphere the facial did reduce the acne on my face immensely. I would continue to use this spa for it's facials. more

I went to Rosaline's several years ago, then I left town and I am back living in Boston. I went to see Rosalines and was surprised that after all these years, not only has she kept the spa up-dated and beautiful, but her services have also improved. I have always enjoyed her services and Rosaline herself is a great person and lots of fun to talk to. My skin looks beautiful, and I would highly recommend her spa. Pros: Thumbs up more

I have sensitive skin and was reluctant to try and new place for facials. But what can you do when you move to a new city? I decided to give Rosaline's a try because she was located just down the street from me. I tried the basic facial with Rebekah. It was wonderful. I loved the products - they were gentle and not too fragrant. The facial massage was wonderfully relaxing. Rosaline herself was very warm and welcoming. After my facial she did some waxing for me and I though she did a very nice job. So overall, I think that Rosaline's offers a great value and service to her clients. I'll definitely come back. I've been going to Rosaline's for over three years, and I love it! She's very friendly. Great workers there. I normally have sensitive skin, and their wax doesn't bother me at all. This is why I love Rosaline's :) more

I HAD A BRAZALIAN BIKINI WAXING AT ROSALINE'S IN BROOKLINE A FEW DAYS AND AND IT WAS THE LEAST PAINFUL AND PLEASANT EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD. I keep going back to Rosaline's because of the quality of the service. I have had numerous facial experiences, but this salon gives the best facials I've ever encountered in the US. I am accustomed to european facials and Rosaline's is the absolute best. At least for my skin type, everything Rosaline does, works wonderfully. Her staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable, and I love the fact that they analyze the state my skin is in, to identify specific problems which they then address with the best treatment . I also love the fact that I usually get an appointment the same day I call, or the very next day. They make every effort to accomodate their busy clients. I will definitely keep going to this spa, it is the most relaxing experience! more

I had a facial a few days ago at Rosaline Spa, it wasn't my first facial, but it was one of the best facials I've ever had. Rosaline and her staff are very friendly people, they take their time analysing the skin to choose the best treatment for each individual client. my skin looked so much better after the facial, I felt so relaxed and renewed. I have extremely sensitive skin and have had less than stellar experiences at other spas, so I love the fact that even when I am broken out, I leave feeling better than when I arrived. I've gone to Rosaline's for a few years now for a variety of services -- facials, waxing, massage, mani/pedi. As soon as I walk in the front door the stress starts to melt away. Rosaline and her staff are so knowledgeable and professional. When I was getting my eyebrows waxed before my wedding, Rosaline spent lots of time talking with me about how I wanted them to be shaped, and she recommended a new "style" that I'd never considered (a little thinner than I'd dared to go before) and I was so thrilled with the result. MY FRIEND RECOMMENDED ME TO ROSALINE'S SPA IN BROOKLINE FOR A BRAZLIAN BIKINI WAX AND AT FIRST I WAS A LITTLE HESITANT BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THE SERVICE BEFORE AT ANOTHER SPA AND IT WAS REALLY PAINFUL. HOWEVER I VISITED ROSALINE'S TO HAVE THE SERVICE AND I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE ROSALINE. I FOUND HER TO BE QUITE SKILLED AT HER WORK AND INCREDIBLE FAST DOING BRAZILIAN WHICH DID NOT HURT AT ALL. DELIGHTFUL AND RELAXING EXPERIENCE I just checked out city serach today because I wanted to get a facial and massage, so even though some of the reviews of Rosaline's Spa was negative, I decided to take my chances and set up an appointment at her spa. My experince was very delightful and I have to honestyly say, that the spa is tastefully done, very clean,the staff is very professionsal and I throughly enjoyed both my services.
