Rocky's Italian Grill

The first time we went to Rocky's at 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday, we were immediately seated on the outside deck. However, we left after sitting 15 minutes without a single server addressing us while four servers stood around a work station laughing with one another. That was to be my last time but my father asked us to join him for my second trip. Again, our server could not be found when we needed napkins, silverware, drink refills, and our check. I left the table three times to ask the manager to assist us with our needs. He apologized each time but service didn't get any better until, of course, the server finally brought us our check with a big happy tip-hungry smile. That's it, not again. Rocky's was a great restaurant when it was in its original location. It's a shame I can't go back to a place my family trusted for over 30 years and get the same great service and food. I can only guess that the good reviews on here must be Rocky's management trying to save face. more

I decided to try a new restaurant and try a new place of sitting all in one place! We went to Rocky's Italian Grill and we decided to sit in the bar area. Now that Jeffersonville is smoke free- we could try it! The Bartender was great! Since this was our first visit she did a good job of explaining things on the menu so we could make the best choice possible. Everything we had was great! My husband ordered a drink- Bellini. He loved it! I tried a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri and it was awesome!. Our appetizer was Fried Mozzarella Triangles. Those are just plain addicting! They served us Italian bread to be dipped in an oil/cheese mixture. This too was addicting! The salads were well made. My husband ordered a chicken calzone and I had the Italian Roast Beef Sandwich. We were both pleased with our choices. Rocky's is under the same management as Buckhead's Mountain Grill. I have been a big fan of Buckhead's for a while now. Rocky's is also very good! It was nice to be able to sit in the bar area too. I had never done it and it was a pleasant experience. The bartender tended to us throughout the meal. Oh, and did I mention it's riverside? There is an awesome view of the river and the bridges. There is also plenty of room inside as well as inside to sit. They also have a bar inside and outside to sit. more
