It is untrue that we don't care, we have been here 39 years trying our darndest to help customers and win friends. This sounds like a review with an axe to grind for what reason , don't know. To think we would respnd to a customer like this is a real stretch. As the manager , I deny I ever said that we don't care, because we do! We know you folks have a choice, and we want to earn the right to be that choice.We attempt to treat every customer, regardless of age / color/ dress seriously.Bart more

As I am shopping to buy a guitar in the next month, and looking at the selections they have of guitars which is ok at best, I’m a PRS Gibson kind guy witch the don’t have any high end new stuff… I over hear a customer ask about a strap and what is a good strap to get, and the sails person says “rudely good is a restive term.” This should have been my queue to leave but , I naively though the guy was having a bad day. After a few minuets of walking around, I walk over to the counter and ask one of the salesman at the counter to show me what they had in the 2-3k price point? The sales man asks “ Do you have the money? “ I said no. His response was “ then don’t even ask me!!!” I then went over to my mom in acoustics told her what happened and she went over and said I would take her 3k to a guitar store elsewhere. He then went on to say” so we don’t care!!!!!” If you want to get treated badly go here. The employees are mean and don’t show any respect what so ever towards any one. The management is the mean. And remember the manager says we dot care!!! more

I've been taking lessons there for about four months and have learned more than I have in the three and a half years I've been trying to teach myself with books and videos. Mark White is an incredible bass player and teacher..... more

Went there again today -- to buy strings that I needed now. The management/ownership must encourage these clowns to treat people like garbage, because they've honed it into a fine art. Funny how music retailers are shuttering stores left and right in Houston. I wonder where the slack-jawed counterhelp at Rockin' Robin will go to be rude to customers after that store closes... I've decided to order my Elixirs by the case over the internet. Not worth the hassle or drive to go locally. Funny story -- a few years ago I needed a guitarist for session work fast. Was willing to pay top dollar and sponser union dues. Walked into Rockin' Robin, spent 5 minutes talking to some arrogant failed-musician-turned-music-store-cashier-know-it-all, and walked out. Instead found an axe slinger at local high school for the performing arts. more

Rockin' Robin is a wonderful guitar store filled with all of the equipment you would need to make beautiful sound. The guitars are all really good quality and sound. The employee's attitudes are helpful and excited that you are going into the music field and that you might be the next big thing. The atmosphere is sort of like a club, because at least 20 other people are playing some instrument. more

I went there after reading the online review. The review must have been written by an owner or employee! I was there for 30 minutes; NOT ONE person said hello! I really needed help because I know nothing about music instruments. My nephew wanted a bass and I have never bought a bass! Maybe I just didn't look as cool as the guy who came in later with news of a get together that seemed to lure the salesguys from behind the counter with ease! I took my $1500 elsewhere. NOT recommended. more
