Decent food, so-so service 7/17/2006

During a recent trip to the King of Prussia Mall, we decided to try the Rock Bottom Brewery for dinner. I am not sure if our late dining hour was a contributing factor, but the service was less than stellar. Tables abandoned by patrons were not cleaned, waitstaff was slow. The food was decent, though, with a beef tips entree costing around $14. The wine list was decent, though beer is obviously their specialty (I didn't try any, but they have many local microbrews). I would eat here again, but hope the service is better. Maybe we hit the place on an off night. more

Just stay away from this place 6/8/2006

I've only been to this place once, but I would NOT go back. I did not even get food on the one trip there! Their service was VERY VERY bad and SLOW. We were forced to wait over an hour for a table, even though there was plenty of tables. They were horribly understaffed. After being seated, it was another half hour before a waiter even came to the table to take our order. The waitstaff acted like they were being inconvenienced by customers coming to eat at this restaurant! The wait for food was interminable so we just left. It wasn't worth it and after that I would not even try to go back! more

Great Beer...Inconsistent Service 4/15/2006

My first few trips to Rock Bottom were phenomenal - four-star food and ale for two-star prices. The waitstaff was efficient and personable - which is very difficult for any service worker to pull off. However, the restaurant seems to be resting on its laurels. My friends and I have not had good dining experience in the past six months - incorrect orders, slow (but still friendly) service, and improperly cooked food. The beer is still decent, but I wouldn't waste my money on the entrees, which for the past few visits have mirrored college dining hall fare. more
