I gave ""Roark Fencing"" a well deserved 5-stars for a recent project where old boards with dry rot needed replacing. Their estimate was good, they were very knowledgeable and they did the job quickly. I am a property manager and I had been using the same contractor for many years, but when he recently retired I had to find someone else. I am very happy to have found this company and I will be calling them first for any future projects. I would also say they have integrity, honesty and they are reliable. I've worked with a lot of vendors over the years and these guys are good. more

My husband and I began the search for a fence company in Lexington. After getting quotes from 3 companies, we chose Roark Fencing. They handled my calls, questions, etc with utmost urgency and were very professional...with a hometown feel. The fence was installed timely and they even accommodated my ""last minute"" changes....lol! I had asked for different post tops and they did it without complaint and the best part is.....they threw those in FOR FREE!!! I spoke to the owner prior to the installation (as I am a nut about researching companies to see if they are qualified and respected before I purchase things), and he guaranteed the quality of their work and advised I could call him at any time if there was a problem. I would recommend Roark Fencing to anyone needing a fence! Thanks guys for a job well done....exceeding my expectations!!! more

John Roark put up my fence 4 years ago, with wear and tear I had some boards that needed to be replaced....It was taken care of that day within an hours time and when I called to get my bill I EXPECTED he said there was no charge. Now that is really good business and my fence looks FANTASTIC... Thanks John you are the best!!!!! Pros: Promptly returned my call and had my needs met that day!!! Cons: NONE!!!! more

Hay anyone out there looking to put a fence up on your property- don't call Roark Fencing. When they initially came out to do the estimate we asked there representative Josh what did we need to do to get the ball rolling. He advised us that we did not have to do anything since the pins were already set to show the property line and they would take care of obtaining the permit with the city. Well several months down the road my neighbor had a survey done and informed us that our fence was over on his property line and that the pins were still present but evidently were not used as a guide. I began calling the company 2 months ago when the survey was done and we still have not recieved a return call. We have contacted the Business Bureau of Lexington Ky and still have not recieved a resolution. they were working on my street just today and my wife waved the truck down and had the workers to call the owner who was not interested in making the situation right or even interested in taking the time to look into it. He plainly stated to the worker that he would wait to see what the Business Bureau of Lexington Ky told him to do and that Josh had informed him that we had told him where to put the fence. This is poor business- they will not even return my call to fix a hole that is in the wood on the opposite side- my fence is not even a year old!!! Hired to do my fence. 1 year later, my neighbor states that I am encroaching. So, my first call was to Roark to find out how they determine the property line. They said, ""well, we don't just put them anywhere we want, we put them where your husband told us to."" Funny thing is that my husband wasn't home the day they put the posts in. He was there the next day. We assumed they checked for the PINS. WHICH ARE THERE. So, now our attorney said he'll need to get us a survey. The fence needs to be moved, and since they don't want to move it at their cost, we will need to get another contractor to do it, and the cost is about 1/2 of the original cost to have it installed in the first place.
